Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a beacon foot joint with a fork, between the arms a shaft of the beacon is pivotally mounted and a locking device, which removably holds the shaft in the upright position.
The beacon sheet indicates guidance and warning beacons for securing road construction sites usually at the bottom of a shaft that fits into a hole Footplate made of recycled material is inserted. If the beacon sheet from one Vehicle is started, it should fold over without the footplate strikes so that the occurrence of major personal injury or property damage is avoided becomes. This folding of the beacon sheet can be done by a predetermined breaking point reach or kink, but is preferably for this purpose specially designed beacon foot joint is provided.
A beacon ankle of the type mentioned, but not specifically for Beacons, but generally for traffic signs, are described in DE 197 20 084 A1. In this beacon ankle, the locking device is by a Pin formed, which is offset to the pivot axis by the arms of the fork and extends through the shaft and is sheared off when the beacon is approached. To however, this shearing only occurs when the load is jerky, when the beacon is approached at a relatively high speed. Become frequent the beacons on road construction sites, however, from construction vehicles with relative approached at low speed. In this case, the impact energy is sufficient not shear off the pin, and instead the shaft or one of these The shaft and the beacon tube stiffening the beacon blade are bent or kinked, so that the beacon becomes unusable.
From DE GM 86 08 876 a beacon foot joint is known in which a Shoe into which the shaft of the beacon can be inserted can be pivoted in a recess the footplate is stored. The locking device is here by spring clips formed, which are attached to the footplate and with projections in engage corresponding recesses in the shoe. However, this construction is relatively complex and requires a special adjustment of the footplate.
The object of the invention is to provide a beacon ankle that is constructive is simple in construction and yet with high reliability it is damage-free Turning the beacon sheet allows.
This object is achieved in that the arms of the fork are resilient are formed and that the locking device by on these arms arranged projections is formed, which engage the shaft.
Even if the beacon is only approached at a moderate speed, as soon as the tilting moment exerted on the beacon has a certain threshold value the resilient arms of the fork give way, and the projections give way Free the beacon so that the beacon is folded over. Because the resilient elements formed here directly by the arms of the fork, the joint has a total a very simple structure, and it can be manufactured inexpensively.
Advantageous embodiments of the invention result from the subclaims.
In the simplest case, the shaft of the beacon can simply be inserted into the fork from above so that it is only through the projections formed on the arms is held. However, the shaft is preferably held by a bolt, which is in a position offset from the projections in height through the arms of the fork and through the shaft and pulling it out prevents the shaft upwards and at the same time a defined joint axis forms. The beacon sheet thus remains in the folded state the footplate connected so that the beacon blade even at high speed is not flung away and endangers people.
In a particularly advantageous embodiment, the fork is on a foot part trained, which can be inserted into the opening of the footplate. This construction therefore does not require any special adjustment of the base plate, so that conventional foot plates that have a standardized insertion hole for the shaft of the Have beacons equipped with the beacon foot joint according to the invention.
The foot part is preferably inserted into a sleeve-shaped adapter is in turn locked in the opening of the footplate, and the locking of the The adapter is secured by the inserted foot section, as in the European one Patent application 01 124 005 of the applicant is described. With this construction the foot part can be locked in the adapter by the beacon sheet and the foot part at a certain angle around its vertical central axis be rotated. The lock is, for example, a bayonet lock reached. If at the beacon foot joint the shaft of the beacon blade is held by a bolt on the fork and thus on the foot part, so this bolt can be used to produce the lock Torque are transmitted from the beacon blade to the foot part. Optional or in addition, the torque transmission can also be achieved that the shaft is designed as a square and the fork one to this Square forms a complementary receptacle for the shaft.
If the shaft is designed as a square, the projections that the locking device form, in pairs opposite each other on the arms of the fork be designed so that they encompass the shaft on all four edges.
The fork and the foot part can be combined in a particularly advantageous manner Be designed as a plastic injection molded part.

The

ist in entsprechender Weise der Kopf des Bolzens 32 aufgenommen.FIG. 4 shows an external view of one of the
Figure 5 shows how the
