Abstract

The screwdriver to turn a screw (4) through a drive shaft (2), of a power tool, has an inner sleeve (1) fitted to the drive shaft to take a screwdriver attachment (3) with an outer sleeve (6) around it with a restricted axial movement. It has a permanent magnet (7) at its leading side, with a passage opening (7a) through it extending from a profile tip (3a) of the attachment. A screw placed on the profile tip is held in place by the permanent magnet and, at the same time, the screw head (4a) is secured with the full extent of the profile tip into the inner screw head profile, and the outer sleeve is moved by the permanent magnet to bring the end surface (7b) against the surface of the screw head.
