Die in Figur 1 dargestellte, erfindungsgemäße Halterung 10 ist zur Befestigung von plattenformigem Material 12 an einer Unterkonstruktion 14 vorgesehen. Im dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiel sind mit der Halterung 10 Glasscheiben 12 einer Glasfassade an einem Pfosten 14 einer im übrigen nicht dargestellten, aus (vertikalen) Pfosten 14 und (horizontalen) Riegeln bestehenden Unterkonstruktion befestigt. Die Halterung 10 weist als Grundteil einen sternförmigen Träger 16 (vgl. auch Figur 3) mit vier rechtwinklig zueinander angeordneten, nach außen abstehenden Stützrippen 18 auf. Jeweils auf gedachten Winkelhalbierenden zwischen den Stützrippen 18 weist der Träger 16 nach außen offene Nuten 20 mit kreisförmigem Querschnitt auf, die Schwenklagerpfannen 20 bilden. Der Träger 16 weist über seine gesamte Dicke einen gleichbleibenden und mit der in Figuren 1 und 3 dargestellten Stirnfläche übereinstimmenden Querschnitt auf. Dabei ist mit Dicke die Erstreckung des Trägers 16 senkrecht zur Zeichenebene in Figur 1 gemeint. Der gleichbleibende Querschnitt ermöglicht die Herstellung des Trägers 16 durch Abtrennen von einem aus Aluminium stranggepressten Profilstab.
