- To the spring chamber 46 closes at the end facing away from the bore 30 in Valve body 26 to a further bore 48 in the one Piston 50 is guided tightly with the Injection valve member 28 is connected.
- the piston 50 limited with its end face facing away from the spring chamber 46 a control pressure chamber 52 in the valve body 26.
- Line 14 branches at the fuel injection valve 12 into a line 54 leading into the pressure chamber 40 and one to control valves explained in more detail below leading line 55.
- the lines 54, 55 can be as in Valve body 26 can be designed channels.
- the fuel injector has two electrical controlled control valves 60.70 on Fuel injection valve 12 are arranged.
- Line 55 branches in front of the control valves 60.70 again a line part leading to a first control valve 60 56 and one leading to a second control valve 70 Line section 57.
- the first control valve 60 is in the first embodiment 1 designed as a 2/2-way valve.
- the first Control valve 60 has a valve member 61 which between two switch positions is movable. In a first Switch position of the control valve 60 is the Connection of the line part 56 to the relief chamber 24 opened so that the line part 56 and in the Line 55, in line 14 and in the pressure chamber 40 no Can build high pressure. In a second switch position is the connection of the control valve 60 Line part 56 separated with the relief chamber 24, so that itself in line section 56 and in line 55, in the Line 14 and in the pressure chamber 40 during the delivery stroke of the Pump piston 18 can build high pressure.
- the second control valve 70 connects the Line part 57 with the control pressure chamber 52 of the Fuel injector 12 is controlled.
- the second Control valve 70 is designed as a 2/2-way valve and has a valve member 71 that between two switching positions is movable. In a first switch position of the Control valve 70 through this the connection of the Control pressure chamber 52 with the line part 57 and thus with line 55 and line 14 open. In a second Switch position of the control valve 70 by this Control pressure chamber 52 from line part 57 and thus from Line 55 and line 14 separated.
- the control pressure room 52 has a constantly open connection 58 with one Relief space than that of the fuel tank 24 serves. There is at least one in connection 58 Throttle point 59 is provided.
- the control of the two control valves 60, 70 takes place at first exemplary embodiment via a common actuator 64, by which the pressure in an actuator pressure chamber 66 is controlled becomes.
- the actuator 64 can be a piezo actuator, for example, which depends on an electrical applied to it Tension changes its length. If there is no voltage at actuator 64 is present, it has a short length and the Pressure in the actuator pressure chamber 66 is low. With increasing the actuator 64 applied electrical voltage increases its length and the pressure in the actuator pressure chamber 66 elevated.
- the valve member 61 of the first control valve 60 is on the one hand acted upon by the pressure in the actuator pressure chamber 66 and on the other hand by the force of a prestressed Return spring 68.
- the control valve 60 At low pressure in actuator pressure chamber 66 is the control valve 60 due to the the valve member 61 acting force of the return spring 68th in its first switching position, in which the connection of the Line part 56 with the fuel tank 24 is open.
- the first control valve 60 For switching the first control valve 60 in his second switching position, in which the line part 56 from Fuel reservoir 24 is disconnected from the actuator 64 applied such a high voltage that the Pressure in the actuator pressure chamber 66 is sufficiently high that the by this force generated on the valve member 61 larger is as the force of the return spring 68 and the valve member 61 is moved into the second switching position.
- the valve member 61 is in the two switching positions of the control valve 60 each at a stop.
- the second control valve 70 also has a valve member 71 on the one hand from the pressure in the actuator pressure chamber 66 and on the other hand by the force of a prestressed Return spring 78 is acted upon. At low pressure in Control valve 70 is conditionally located in actuator pressure chamber 66 by the force acting on the valve member 71 thereof Return spring 78 in its first switching position, in the connection of the control pressure chamber 52 with the line part 57 is open.
- the by the return spring 78 on the valve member 71 of the second control valve 70 force is greater than that by the return spring 68 on the valve member 61 of the first control valve 60 applied force, so that for the Switching the second control valve 70 into its second Switch position a higher pressure in the actuator pressure chamber 66 and thus actuation of the actuator 64 with a higher one electrical voltage is required as for that Switching the first control valve 60 into its second Switching position. It is thus possible to use the first control valve 60 by increasing the pressure in the actuator pressure chamber 66 in its second switch position to switch while the second Control valve 70 remains in its first switching position. With a further pressure increase in the actuator pressure chamber 66 also the second control valve 70 in its second Switched position switched.
- the control valves 60.70 are controlled by an electrical control device 74 driven.
- the first control valve 60 in its first switching position, so that the connection of the line part 56 with the Fuel tank 24 is open and in Pump work chamber 22, in line 14 and in pressure chamber 40 of fuel injector 12 do not build up high pressure can.
- the second control valve 70 is also in FIG its first switching position, so that the connection of the Control pressure chamber 52 with the line part 57 and thus with the line 14 and opened with the pump work chamber 22 is.
- the actuator becomes 64 controlled by the control device 74 such that the pressure in the actuator pressure chamber 66 becomes so high that both Control valves 60,70 in their second switching position can be switched.
- the line part 56 and thus the Line 14 and the pump work space 22 are through closed first control valve 60 from Fuel tank 24 separately, so that in Pressure chamber 40 of the fuel injection valve 12 high pressure corresponding to the course of the cam profile of the cam 20 builds.
- the control pressure chamber 52 is closed by the second control valve 70 from the line part 57 and thus from the Line 14 and separated from the pump work chamber 22, so that in Control pressure chamber 52 there is no high pressure. If the im Pressure chamber 40 prevailing pressure a the force of Closing spring 44 exceeding force on the Injection valve member 28 generated, this moves in Opening direction 29 and releases the injection openings 32.
- the actuator 64 is activated the control device 74 is controlled such that the pressure in the actuator pressure chamber 66 drops so that the second control valve 70 reaches its first switching position and the connection of the control pressure chamber 52 with the line part 57 and thus opened with the line 14 and the pump work chamber 22 is.
- the control pressure chamber 52 High pressure is applied to the injection valve member 28
- Closing spring 44 generates supportive force, so that Fuel injector 12 closes and the Fuel injection is interrupted.
- Control device 74 is controlled that the pressure in Actuator pressure chamber 66 drops so much that both control valves 60.70 switch into their first switching position and through the first control valve 60 connects the line part 56 and thus the line 14 and the pump work chamber 22 with the fuel tank 24 is opened so that the Pressure in the pump work chamber 22, in line 14 and in Pressure chamber 40 into the fuel reservoir 24 relieved.
- the actuator 64 is controlled by the control device 74 controlled again in such a way that the pressure in the actuator pressure chamber 66 rises so much that the two control valves 60.70 in their second switching position are switched.
- the pressure room 40 of the fuel injection valve 12 then builds up High pressure according to the profile of the cam 20 and that Fuel injection valve 12 opens because of the control pressure chamber 52 is relieved.
- Fuel injection valve 12 opens because of the control pressure chamber 52 is relieved.
- the pressure in the pressure chamber 40 des increases Fuel injector 12 on, but can Fuel injection valve 12 because of that in the control pressure chamber 52 prevailing high pressure do not open.
- the Actuator 64 controlled by the control device 74 in such a way that the pressure in the actuator pressure chamber 66 continues to rise, so that also the second control valve 70 in its second Switch position is switched so that in the control pressure chamber 52 there is no more high pressure and that Fuel injection valve 12 opens. It can be used with this delayed switching of the second Control valve 70 the opening pressure of the Fuel injection valve 12 are changed, whereby with increasing time delay a higher one Opening pressure results.
- the pressure curve on the Injection openings 32 for this purpose are shown in FIG dashed lines.
- the actuator 64 is activated the control device 74 is controlled such that the pressure in actuator pressure chamber 66 drops so much that the second Control valve 70 switches to its first switching position while the first control valve 60 in its second Switch position remains.
- the actuator 64 by the Control device 74 controlled such that the pressure in Actuator pressure chamber 66 rises again so much that the second Control valve 70 switches to its second switching position, so that there is no more high pressure in the control pressure chamber 52 and the fuel injector 12 due to the im Pressure room 40 prevailing high pressure opens.
- the actuator 64 by the Control device 74 controlled such that the pressure in Actuator pressure chamber 66 drops so much that both control valves Switch 60.70 to its first switching position.
- both control valves 60.70 Fuel injection valve 12 are electric only for this Lines 75 to the controller 74 required while to the fuel pump 10 no electrical lines and only the hydraulic line 14 is required.
- the two Control valves 60, 70 are located when the that is, de-energized actuator 64 and thus depressurized Actuator pressure chamber 66 in its first switching position, see above that the connection of the line part 56 with the Fuel tank 24 is open and the connection of the control pressure chamber 52 opened with the line part 57 is.
- the actuators 162, 172 can be used as piezo actuators or be designed as electromagnets and are by the Control device 174 driven.
- the two control valves 160, 170 are in turn on the fuel injection valve 12 arranged so that no electrical to the fuel pump 10 Lines are required.
- the function of the Fuel injector according to the second Embodiment is the same as the first Described embodiment and it can be in Figure 2 shown pressure curve at the injection openings 32 of the Fuel injection valve 12 can be reached.
- the fuel injection device is according to shown a third embodiment, the basic structure again the same as the first
- the exemplary embodiment is, however, the control valves 260, 270 are modified.
- control valves 260, 270 is one common actuator 264 provided by the Control device 274 is controlled and by which Pressure in the actuator pressure chamber 266 is controllable.
- the first Control valve 260 is designed as a 2/3 way valve, the one Has valve member 261, the one hand from the pressure in Actuator pressure chamber 266 and on the other hand by the force of one Return spring 268 is acted upon.
- the first control valve 260 can be switched between three switch positions.
- the first switching position of the control valve 260 is Connection of the line part 56 and thus the line 14 and the pump workspace 22 with the fuel tank 24 fully open.
- a second switching position of the Control valve 260 is the connection of the line part 56 and thus the line 14 and the pump work chamber 22 with the fuel tank 24 via a throttle point 263 with a smaller cross-section than in the first switch position open.
- a third switching position of the control valve 260 is the line part 56 and thus the line 14 and the Pump workspace 22 from the fuel tank 24 Cut.
- the first control valve 260 With such controlled actuator 264 that the pressure in the actuator pressure chamber 266 is slightly raised, the first control valve 260 is located in its second switching position, in which the connection of the Line part 56 with the fuel tank 24 via throttle point 263 is open. With such controlled Actuator 264 that in the actuator pressure chamber 266 a high pressure prevails, the control valve 260 is in its third switching position, in which the line part 56 from Fuel tank 24 is separated.
- the second control valve 270 is like the first Embodiment designed as a 2/2-way valve and has a displaceable against the force of a return spring 278 Valve member 271 on.
- second control valve 270 When actuator 264 and so there is low pressure in the actuator pressure chamber 266 second control valve 270 in a first switching position, in which the control pressure chamber 52 is separated from the line part 57. With such actuated actuator 264 that in the actuator pressure chamber If the pressure is high, the control valve is located 270 in a second switching position, in which the connection of the control pressure chamber 52 opened with the line part 57 is.
- For switching the second control valve 270 in its second switching position is a higher pressure in the Actuator pressure chamber 266 required than for switching the first control valve 260 in its third switching position.
- the Biasing the return spring 278 of the second control valve 270 can be greater than the preload of the Return spring 268 of the first control valve 260.
- the first one Control valve 260 by appropriate control of the actuator 264 brought into its second switching position, so that the Line part 56 and thus the line 14 and the Pump workspace 22 via the throttle point 263 with the Fuel reservoir 24 are connected.
- the Throttle point 263 can fuel in the Fuel tank 24 flow out, so that in Pump work chamber 22, line 14 and pressure chamber 40 not the full pressure corresponds to the profile of the cam 20 can build up but only a lower pressure through which the fuel injector 12 is opened and the Fuel injection takes place.
- the main injection therefore starts with a relatively low pressure like this in Figure 5 is shown.
- the first control valve 260 begins the main injection by appropriate control of the actuator 264 in his third switching position switched so that the line part 56 and the line 14 and the pump work room 22 from Fuel tank 24 are separated and in Pressure chamber 40 the full high pressure according to the profile of the Cam 20 builds up and fuel injection with high Printing takes place.
- the second one Control valve 270 by appropriate control of the actuator 264 and setting a high pressure in the actuator pressure chamber 266 brought into its second switching position, so that the Control pressure chamber 52 with the line part 57 and thus the Line 14 and the pump work chamber 22 is connected, so that there is high pressure in the control pressure chamber 52 and that Fuel injection valve 12 closes.
- the actuator 264 is again controlled in such a way that the pressure in the actuator pressure chamber 266 drops so that the second control valve 270 is back in its reaches the first switching position and the control pressure chamber 52 from Line part 57 is separated, so that Fuel injection valve 12 due to that in the pressure chamber 40 prevailing pressure opens again.
- the actuator 264 is controlled such that the pressure in the actuator pressure chamber 266 drops so much that the Control valves 260.270 again in their first switching positions switch.
- the fuel injection device according to FIG a fourth embodiment shown in which the basic structure is the same as the first Embodiment and only the arrangement of the second Control valve 370 is changed. It is therefore below only the arrangement and design of the second control valve 370 explained in more detail.
- the line part 357 opens into the Control pressure chamber 52 and is constantly open, in this a throttle point can be provided. From the control pressure room 52 leads a connection 358 to a relief space, as which serves, for example, the fuel reservoir 24.
- the connection 358 is made by the second control valve 370 of the control pressure chamber 52 with the fuel reservoir 24 controlled.
- the second control valve 370 is designed as a 2/2-way valve and has a valve member 371 on, against the force of a return spring 378 is movable between two switch positions. In a first Switching position of the control valve 370 is the Connection 358 of the control pressure chamber 52 with the Fuel tank 24 opened. In a second Switching position of the control valve 370 is the Control pressure chamber 52 from the fuel reservoir 24 Cut.
- the two control valves 360, 370 are operated by one common actuator 364 controlled by which the pressure in an actuator pressure space 366 is determined.
- the second Control valve 370 during the injection in its first Switch position is in which the connection 358 of Control pressure chamber 52 with the fuel reservoir 24 is open, so that there is no in the control pressure chamber 52 Can build high pressure.
- the first control valve 360 is located itself during the injection in its second Switch position in which the line part 356 from Fuel tank 24 is separated.
- the actuator 364 is during injection by controller 374 controlled such that in the actuator pressure chamber 366 there is sufficient pressure around the first control valve 360 to switch to its second switching position while the second control valve 370 in its first switching position remains.
- the second will end the injection Control valve 370 by increasing the pressure in the actuator pressure chamber 366 switched to its second switching position, so that the Control pressure chamber 52 separated from the fuel tank 24 and builds up in this high pressure, through which the Fuel injection valve 12 is closed.
- the Fuel injector according to the fourth Embodiment can be a pressure curve on the Injection openings 32 of the fuel injection valve 12 can be achieved according to Figure 2. If not controlled, that the currentless actuator 364 is the second one Control valve 370 in its first switching position, in which the Connection 358 of the control pressure chamber 52 with the Fuel reservoir 24 is open.
- the fuel injection device is according to a fifth embodiment shown in which compared to the fourth embodiment, only that Switch positions of the second control valve 470 interchanged are.
- In its first switch position is through the second Control valve 470 of the control pressure chamber 52 from Fuel tank 24 separately and in its second Switch position is through the second control valve 470 Connection 458 of the control pressure chamber 52 with the Fuel tank 24 opened.
- With not controlled that is, de-energized actuator 464 the second control valve 470 in its first switching position, in which the control pressure chamber 52 from the fuel tank 24 is separated.
- the actuator 464 controlled by the control device 474 such that in Actuator pressure chamber 466 has a sufficiently high pressure both the first control valve 460 and the second Switch control valve 470 to its second switching position.
- the pressure in the Actuator pressure chamber 466 by appropriate control of the Actuator 464 reduced so that the second control valve 470 switches to its first switching position, so that the Control pressure chamber 52 separated from the fuel tank 24 is, however, the first control valve 460 in its second Switch position remains, so that the line 456 from Fuel tank 24 is separated.
