Durch die Anordnung der Presse oberhalb des Falzbettes sind besondere Aufwendungen für die Zu- und Abfuhr der Bauteile vorzusehen. Vor allem muß hierbei das obere Werkzeug einen großen Hub ausführen.
  • 2. Bördelvorrichtungen, bei denen das Bördelbett feststeht und der Bördelflansch durch hydraulisch oder elektrisch betätigte Schieber oder mechanische Kipphebelelemente umgebogen wird. Hierbei ist die Betätigung und Ansteuerung der Bördelschieber bzw. der Kipphebelelement aufwendig (vgl. DE 197 47 292 C1).

  • 6. Vorfahren des Schiebers 2 bis der Fertigfalzbacken 10 in Fertigfalzposition ist, gleichzeitig Hochschwenken des Vorfalzbackens 21
  • 7. Falzbett 4 mit aufliegendem vorgefalzten Bauteil fährt zum Fertigfalzen hoch gegen die Fertigfalzbacken 10
  • 8. Falzbett 4 mit fertig gefalztem Bauteil fährt in unterste Position
  • 9. Schieber 2 fährt zurück in Zwischenstellung
  • 10. Fertig gefalztes Bauteil wird entnommen.

Claims (10)

  1. Hemming device for the prehemming and finishing hemming of said components (5,6), especially body sheets, comprising
    a said first component (5) with a said flange (7) standing upright before hemming, and
    a said second component (6) with a said flat edge area (8),
    said hemming device being comprised of
    a) a said folding bed (4) performing the hemming stroke with support surfaces for the said components (5,6), which are approached at least in the said edge area (8),
    b) at least one said prefolding jaw (9,21) which can be moved into a prehemming position, with a said obliquely arranged contact surface (14) for the said flange (7),
    c) at least one said finishing folding jaw (10) which can be moved with a said slide (2) from the outside to the inside into the finishing hemming position, with said contact surfaces (15) arranged in parallel to the said edge area (8),
    characterized in that the said prefolding jaw (9) is likewise displaceable from the outside to the inside into the prehemming position by means of a said slide (3) and relative to the said slide (2) of the said finishing folding jaw (10).
  2. Hemming device for the prehemming and finishing hemming of said components (5,6), especially body sheets, comprising
    a said first component (5) with a said flange (7) standing upright before hemming, and
    a said second component (6) with a said flat edge area (8),
    said hemming device being comprised of
    a) a said folding bed (4) performing the hemming stroke, with contact surfaces for the said components (5,6) approached at least in the said edge area (8),
    b) at least one said prefolding jaw (9,21) movable into a prehemming position with a said obliquely arranged contact surface (14) for the said flange (7),
    c) at least one said finishing jaw (10) movable with a said slide (2) from the outside to the inside into the finishing hemming position, with said contact surfaces (15) arranged in parallel to the said edge area (8) for the said flange (7),
    characterized in that the said prefolding jaw (21), fastened to a said pivoting plate (24), can be pivoted from the outside to the inside into the prehemming position and can be locked in the prehemming position.
  3. Hemming device in accordance with claim 1, characterized in that the said slides (2,3) are displaceable on said guide paths (19,20) extending at an acute angle in relation to one another.
  4. Hemming device in accordance with claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the said contact surfaces (14,15) of the said prefolding and finishing folding jaws (9,10,21) can be moved one after another into the hemming positions by means of the said slides (2,3) or by means of the said slide (2) and the said pivoting plate (24), and that the said folding bed (4) performs the same or essentially the same hemming stroke for the prehemming and the finishing hemming.
  5. Hemming device in accordance with one of the claims 1 through 4, characterized in that the said slide (3) for prefolding or the said pivoting plate (24) is arranged on the said slide (2) for prefolding or vice versa.
  6. Hemming device in accordance with one of the claims 1 through 5, characterized in that a said spring-actuated holding-down device (17) is arranged on the said upper slide (3) or the said pivoting plate (24).
  7. Hemming device in accordance with claim 2, characterized in that the said drives (12, 22) for the said slide (2) and the said pivoting plate (24) are mounted on a said bracket (23) in an articulated manner.
  8. Hemming device in accordance with claim 2, characterized in that the said pivoting plate (24) is mounted in a rotatingly movable manner on a said bracket (28) rigidly connected to the said base (1) or to the said slide (2) by means of a said hinge (26).
  9. Hemming device in accordance with claim 8, characterized in that the said pivoting plate (24) and the said slide (2) are coupled with one another such that the said prefolding and finishing folding jaws (10, 21) can be moved one after another into the prehemming and finishing hemming position by means of a said common drive unit (30).
  10. Hemming device in accordance with claim 8, characterized in that a said stop (33) on the said pivoting plate (24) and a said stop (32) on the said slide (2) touch each other for locking the said prefolding jaws (21) and that the said pivoting plate (24) is pivoted up with the said prefolding jaw (21) around the said hinge (26) by displacing the said slide (2) into the finishing folding position by means of a said connecting link guide (31) present at the said slide (2).
