Claims (12)

  1. Manual operating device with a turning handle for electrical switching devices, in which
    the turning handle (5) indicates the respective switching position of the switching device (1),
    the turning handle (5) is in operative connection with the drive spindle (22) of a rotary drive (2) of the switching device (1),
    a base plate (4), mounted on the rotary drive (2), has a web (41) running peripherally around it in a circular form and
    the base plate (4) can be mounted by means of fastening means in various positions, offset around the drive spindle (22),
    characterized in that
    an inwardly protruding, annular first edge segment (42) is formed onto the web (41),
    the turning handle (5) is operatively connected to a drive plate (6; 6') which can be fitted within the web (41) and can be brought into engagement with the drive spindle (22),
    an annular second edge segment (62; 62') is formed on the drive plate (6; 6') with respect to the otherwise set-back edge region (63; 63'),
    in the OFF position of the switching device (1), the two edge segments (42, 62 or 62') fit together, not congruently, to form almost a full annulus, the set-back edge region (63; 63') forming a passage for the first edge segment (42), and
    in every position deviating from the OFF position, the second edge segment (62; 62') is at least partly congruent with or engages behind the first edge segment (42).
  2. Manual operating device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the base plate (4) is of a substantially square form and is provided with switching position symbols.
  3. Manual operating device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the base plate is of a substantially circular form and is provided with switching position symbols.
  4. Manual operating device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that one of the edge segments (42; 62 or 62') makes up approximately one quarter and the other of the edge segments (62 or 62'; 42) makes up approximately three quarters of a full annulus.
  5. Manual operating device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the turning handle (5) is provided with a blocking slide (52) and a blocking pin (54), which can be operated by the latter and, in the blocked OFF position, reaches through a first blocking opening (43) in the first edge segment (42).
  6. Manual operating device according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the blocking pin (54) respectively reaches with substantially half its extent into the openly formed first blocking opening (43) and into an openly formed second blocking opening (67) in the set-back edge region (63).
  7. Manual operating device according to one of the two preceding claims, characterized in that in the first edge segment (42) there is provided a third blocking opening (44) for the blocking pin (54) reaching through in the locked ON position.
  8. Manual operating device according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the third blocking opening (44) can be broken out.
  9. Manual operating device according to one of the two preceding claims, characterized in that the third blocking opening (44) can be closed by a plug-in insert.
  10. Manual operating device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the drive plate (6) and the peripheral web (41) of the base plate (4; 4') are enclosed by a peripheral collar (56) of the turning handle (5).
  11. Manual operating device according to the preceding claim, characterized in that means for releasing the turning handle (5) from the possibly extended drive spindle (22) are accessible via corresponding through-openings (45; 57) in the web (41) and in the collar (56) exclusively in the OFF position.
  12. Manual operating device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the turning handle (5) is mounted by means of a further base plate (4') on a switch cabinet door (8), the further base plate (4') and the base plate (4) mounted inside the switch cabinet having congruent positions and a coded extension spindle (9) being arranged between the drive plate (6') and the turning handle (5).
