Abstract
Description
- This invention applies to articulated support planes and especially to articulated support planes for hospital or care beds.
- It is known the availability of equipped beds having loading plane equipped with a support plane composed of various plane components between them articulated to create various support postures similar to those of the "deckchair seatings".
- The kinematic mechanisms used to move and position the various components of plane are the most varied.
- It is used compound levers and various levers, combinations of threaded stems and screws, are applied hydraulic devices.
- As always in every structure it is determinant the functionality, the simpleness and the cost.
- The various manufacturers endeavoured to the purpose to attain as above explained the maximum reduction of costs saving the functionality, trying to simplify each single part as much as possible.
- The solution has been obtained by the achievement of the present patent, which succeeded, differently from what now exists in the market, to move the single components composing a plane of articulated support of a hospital and/or care bed using an only stem operated in transfer. Therefore for the transfer of the stem only one actuator is necessary.
- The purpose of the patent, which is that of the maximum cheapness and simplicity, has been reached being able to obtain the various postures of the articulated support plane using an only stem operated by an only actuator.
- It can be said that the articulated support plane offers a sequence of postures similar to those of a deckchair fitted up with legs support.
- The moving parts which compose an articulated support plane are substantially two: one for the backrest support (hereinafter called backrest) and a second one for the support of the legs.
- The two moving parts in the point of their hinging on the bearing frame are suitably spaced out in order to create the bottom space for the pelvis of the persons who must be supported.
- The inclination taken on by the backrest is opposed by the inclination taken on by the part facing the legrests support plane.
- The legrests support plane is composed of two contiguous plane elements hinged one to the other.
- While the plane element facing the backrest is directly hinged by its free side to the loading frame underneath, the plane element contiguous with the first one and hinged to him is connected to the carrying frame by crank stems hinged on the sides near the free end.
- The backrest is equipped on the hinging side, in the central part, with an arm which comes down; the plane facing hinged with the free side to the carrying frame is equipped with a middle cross bar to which are hinged two section flat bars (which will perform the function of push or tie rod) which are connected to the below operation stem.
- Under the carrying plane and supported by this placed almost horizontally there is the operation stem. This stem is connected by pin with its end to the backrest arm and in a suitable medium area is connected by two section flat bars to the plane facing the backrest, being these section flat bars hinged on the upper part to a cross beam welded to the plane facing the backrest and on bottom to the stem.
- These connection section flat bars in the conditions of linear posture of the articulated support plane have a inclined descending arrangement towards the headboard of the carrying frame.
- By the linear posture the backrest lays leant to the carrying frame and so staying leant to the carrying frame are the two plane elements articulated one to the other for the elevation of the legs.
- By transfering the stem to inside, the backrest raises up and it raises up also the plane facing the backrest following the decrease of the inclination of the two connection section flat bars.
- This element of plane facing the backrest during its raising up lets raise by the same extent the part of the plane element connected to it by hinging and let it transfer towards the centre.
- This transfer conerning the entire element of plane, for the coupling of the crank poles placed towards the edge it causes its partial raise up (whose grading depends on the length and of the positioning of these crank poles).
- We point out that the maximum inclination of the backrest and the posture of the two plane elements articulated one to the other for the raise up of the legs is determined in such a way to comply with the EEC directives.
- Those previously described is clarified by examining the enclosed Tables of Drawing.
- Fig. 1 shows globally a hospital or care bed equipped with an articulated support plane where the various planes which compose the horizontal laying plane are placed on the same level. It is underlined the existence of an only stem for the operation of the various planes.
- Fig. 2 shows globally the bed with laying articulated plane corresponding to that one of fig. 1 where the various planes composing this articulated support plane are raised up to perform their function. It is underlined the existence of an only stem for the operation to determine the positioning out of the coplanarity of the various planes composing the articulated support plane.
- Fig. 3 shows globally the equipped bed shown in fig. 1 viewed from below.
- Fig. 4 shows the equipped bed shown in fig. 1 viewed on flat from below.
- Fig. 5 represents the side view of the bed corresponding to fig. 1.
- Fig. 6 represents the side view of the bed corresponding to fig. 2.
- Fig. 7 is the side view of the bed represented in fig. 5 where the opposite sleeper of the carrying frame has been omitted to underline the existence of an only control stem and how it results connected with the planes which must be moved.
- Fig. 8 is the side view of the bed represented in fig. 6 where the opposite sleeper of the carrying frame has been omitted to underline the existence of an onlycontrol stem and how it results connected to the planes which must be moved.
- There have been indicated with 1 the sleepers of the carrying frame; with 2 the bed legs, with 3 the element of the articulated plane which takes on the backrest function, with 4 and 5 the moving elements of plane hinged one to the other in the
joint axle 14 which take on the function to support raised the legs of the person laying over; with 6 the stem for operating the moving of theplane elements operation stem 6; with 8 the connection section flat bars of theplane element 5 to thestem 6 with function of push (or pull) for the raise of this plane element; with 9 the cranks which connect theplane element 4 to the sleepers of thecarrying frame 1; with 10 the mechanism which transmits the motion coming from theactuator 11 to thestem 6; with 12 the hinging axle of theplane element 3 to the sleepers of the carrying frame; with 13 the hinging axle of theplane element 5 to the sleepers of thecarrying frame 1; with 15 a support connected to the carrying frame for the slide of the stem. - After what explained above it is clear the innovation concerning the moving device of the plane elements composing the support articulated plane for adjustable postures similar to those of the deckchair seatings achieved in its simplest and cheapest presently existing shape.
- Creations which derive from the basic idea which is characteristics of this invention let remain into the patent.
- The executive shape of the single parts and of the ensemble is not binding what represented, having to be considered only as an example following a preferential solution.
