- Foot mat according to one of claims 1 through 5, characterized in that the base part (12) of the connection elements (2) is plate-like and extends longitudinally with a length, which is at least twice as long as the width of the plate-like base part (12), on whose longitudinal axis (18) two of the perpendicular, spaced-apart retaining bolts (14) are arranged in the same distance to respectively associated ends (15) of the plate-like base part (12), and that centrally between the retaining bolts (14), a burl-like alignment element (19) is provided on the upper surface (20) of the plate-like base part (12) that extends at a right angle to the longitudinal axis (18) of the plate-like base part (12), whose height is approximately half the length of the perpendicular retaining bolts (14).

- Foot mat according to claim 6 and 7, characterized in that the free ends (22) of the retaining bolts (14) are formed to be cap-like with an anchoring edge (23), which can be brought into engagement with the edge of the associated bore (10).
- Foot mat according to one of claims 1 through 8, characterized in that the connection elements (20) are made by injection molding.
- Foot mat according to one of claims 1 through 9, whose profile elements are formed with a dirt scraper and defining strips for bristle and/or carpet strips, characterized in that a plurality of connection elements (20) are arranged in at least two spaced-apart rows in their longitudinal direction, that in each row arrangement, the burl-like alignment element (10) of the connection elements (20) lie respectively centrally in the gap (21) between the spaced-apart, adjacent profile elements (10) oriented toward one another, each connection element (2) is engaged with its retaining bolt (14) with two adjacent profile elements, and bridges over this and the ends (10) of the plate-like base part (120) facing toward one another in the longitudinal direction are spaced apart from the connection elements (2), such that, as viewed in a longitudinal section of the foot mat, a hollow chamber (11) is provided in the center of each profile element (1) beneath its dirt scraper (6) or its bristle strip.
