The invention relates to a fuel pump, which for Assembly is provided in a fuel tank, for Conveying fuel to an internal combustion engine Motor vehicle with a in a pump housing rotating, a wreath blade chambers bounding vanes having impeller and with in the pump housing arranged part-annular channels, which with the vane chambers from an inlet channel to one of the Internal combustion engine leading exhaust port and to a form further connection leading delivery chambers, wherein the connection for supplying a fuel within provided the fuel tank conveying suction jet pump is.
Such fuel pumps, the same time at least one Supply suction jet pump with fuel and fuel to promote the internal combustion engine of the motor vehicle, are commonly used in today's motor vehicles and are known from practice See, for example, US 5,452,701 A. The well-known from practice Fuel pump has a single delivery chamber.
Through the delivery chamber fuel is to the outlet channel and conveyed to the leading to the suction jet pump connection. In the leading to the suction jet pump connection is a valve opening above an intended pressure arranged. This will ensure that below the intended pressure of the entire subsidized Fuel is conveyed to the internal combustion engine.
A disadvantage of the known fuel pump is that the valve is a costly and trouble-prone component represents. Furthermore, by switching the Valve the amount and pressure of the engine subsidized fuel.
The invention is based on the problem of a fuel pump of the type mentioned above, that it is particularly simple and the quantity and the pressure of the pumped to the internal combustion engine Fuel is independent of the suction jet pump.
This problem is inventively achieved in that the leading to the outlet channel and to the terminal delivery chambers are separated from each other.
By this design, the fuel pump according to the invention through the separate delivery chambers two from each other independent, having a common impeller Pump. The fuel pump according to the invention can be by a corresponding design of the outlet to the channel leading delivery chamber easy on the pressure and the Amount of fuel to be delivered to the internal combustion engine interpret. This gives the internal combustion engine at any time the required amount and the pressure of fuel. The suction jet pump has one of the first delivery chamber separate delivery chamber and also receives at any time Fuel. This delivery chamber can also be designed by constructive measures. A valve for controlling the to the ejector pump or to the Internal combustion engine promoted fuel is thanks to the Invention no longer required. Another advantage the invention is that fuel in the terminal to the suction jet pump undisturbed by the valve the known fuel pump particularly turbulence flows. This leads to a high efficiency of the fuel pump.
The fuel pump according to the invention is constructive especially easy when going to the outlet and leading to the terminal conveyor chambers each other enclose concentrically. This allows the delivery chambers each example in length, diameter and location easily to the intended pressure to be delivered and lay out the amount of fuel to be pumped.
The delivery chambers could be like separate pumps each connected to an inlet channel. to Reduction of manufacturing costs of the invention Fuel pump, however, it contributes when the delivery chambers are connected to a common inlet channel.
Mutual influence of the in the inlet channel to the two delivery chambers flowing fuel can be according to another advantageous embodiment of the invention just avoid if the inlet channel is a extending from a fuel filter to the impeller Partition has, wherein the inlet channel on one side of the Partition wall to the radially inner and on the other side the partition leads to the radially outer delivery chamber. This partition can be in the manufacture of the pump housing Provide or insert later in the inlet channel.
The associated with the connection suction jet pump receives according to another advantageous embodiment of the invention for filling the baffle in the fuel tank a sufficient amount of fuel, though the leading to the terminal conveying chamber made smaller is as the leading to the outlet channel conveying chamber.
On the impeller forces can be according to a another advantageous embodiment of the invention simple compensate if the port and the exhaust port are orthogonal to opposite ends of the Impeller are arranged.
The wreaths of the vanes could, for example, like for side channel pumps in the end faces of the impeller be arranged. The fuel pump according to the invention designed However, especially space-saving, if the radial outer ring vanes on the circumference of the impeller is arranged.
The circumferentially arranged vanes could For example, over the entire height of the impeller extend or as with a peripheral pump on the Corner areas may be arranged on the end faces. The too the connection for the suction jet pump leading delivery chamber is particularly compact in cross section when the radially outer rim vanes in a sub-area the height of the impeller protrudes from the circumference thereof and if the part-annular channel designed like a groove is.
To further reduce the manufacturing costs of the invention Fuel pump helps when the groove-like designed partially annular channel substantially in one of the housing parts arranged and from the other housing part is limited laterally.
The fuel pump according to the invention has particularly low radial dimensions when to the outlet channel and to the terminal leading delivery chambers in the direction of rotation the impeller are arranged one behind the other. This design also leads to a further reduction the manufacturing costs for the fuel pump according to the invention, because the impeller thereby only a single Wreath vanes needed.
The internal combustion engine and the suction jet pump obtained according to another advantageous embodiment of the invention each the intended amount of fuel, if the leading to the terminal conveying chamber is shorter than the other delivery chamber.
Each of the funding chambers could, for example, via each a separate inlet channel connected to a fuel filter be. To further reduce manufacturing costs it contributes to the fuel pump according to the invention however, when leading to the delivery chambers inlet channels a connection with a common fuel filter exhibit.
The connection of the fuel filter to the pump housing designed according to another advantageous development The invention particularly simple when the Inlet channel within the pump housing to the individual Förderkammern branches out.
The connection for the suction jet pump and the outlet channel can be used to compensate for axial forces according to a another advantageous embodiment of the invention directly arrange opposite if the impeller in the area each of its end faces in each case a delivery chamber and if the one delivery chamber to the outlet channel and the other delivery chamber led to the terminal is.
When first filling the fuel tank is in accordance with another advantageous embodiment of the invention only a small amount of fuel to operate the Internal combustion engine required when the intake port of the to the connection of the suction jet pump leading delivery chamber provided for guidance to the fuel tank is. This ensures that a low Amount of fuel in the fuel tank after a short period of operation the fuel pump of the invention Internal combustion engine is available.

um 180° versetzt dargestellt. Meist beträgt der Winkel
zwischen dem Einlaßkanal 18 und dem Auslaßkanal 19 jedoch
ca. 270° - 330°.The
vorgesehene Trennwand 36 angeordnet ist.FIG. 2 shows the
Figur 3 zeigt in einer Schnittdarstellung durch die
Kraftstoffpumpe 5 aus Figur 2 entlang der Linie III - III
das den Auslaßkanal 19 aufweisende Gehäuseteil 9 des Pumpengehäuses
8. Hierbei ist zu erkennen, dass der Winkel
zwischen dem am Anfang der Förderkammer 21 angeordneten,
in Figur 2 dargestellten Einlaßkanal 18 gegenüber dem
Auslaßkanal 19 um ca. 300° versetzt ist. Die teilringförmigen
Kanäle 24, 26 der beiden Förderkammern 21, 22 erstrecken
sich jeweils über den gleichen Winkelbereich.Figure 3 shows in a sectional view through the
Figur 4 zeigt eine weitere Ausführungsform der Kraftstoffpumpe
5 aus Figur 1. Im Gegensatz zu der Ausführungsform
aus Figur 2 haben Leitschaufeln 37 der zu dem
Anschluß 20 der in Figur 1 dargestellten Treibmittelleitung
12 führenden Förderkammer 22 eine über die gesamte
Höhe des Laufrades 7 gleichbleibende Abmessung. Ein teilringförmiger
Kanal 38 dieser Förderkammer 22 ist als eine
der Höhe des Laufrades 7 entsprechend breite Nut ausgebildet.FIG. 4 shows a further embodiment of the
Bei einer in Figur 5 dargestellten weiteren Ausführungsform
der Kraftstoffpumpe 5 erstreckt sich ein teilringförmiger
Kanal 39 der zu dem Anschluß 20 führenden Förderkammer
22 nur über einen Teilbereich der Höhe des
Laufrades 7. Weiterhin ist dieser teilringförmige Kanal
39 nur in einem der Gehäuseteile 9 des Pumpengehäuses 8
angeordnet. Hierdurch läßt sich das andere Gehäuseteil 10
besonders kostengünstig herstellen. Leitschaufeln 40 dieser
Förderkammer 22 stehen von dem Umfang des Laufrades 7
ab.In a further embodiment shown in Figure 5
the
optimierten Querschnitt.A further embodiment of the invention shown in
Schaufelkammern 52 - 55 axial durch das Laufrad 7 hindurch.FIG. 7 shows the
In a further embodiment according to FIG. 10, the
