Abstract

This invention refers to a spraying capsule (1) for aerosol or liquid product to be assembled on corresponding spraying bomb, characterised by a spraying hole (F) of short length made on a central cylindrical element (6) mounted on the outlet spraying pipe or the product bomb. The capsule shows a front cavity (3) on the spraying side that allows the introduction of a molding trolley for being able to make the spraying hole having a limited length.

Description

  • This apparatus refers to the field of spraying capsules for liquid or aerosol products sprayed by a pressurised bomb.
  • A drawback of the preceding capsules of this type is that they have generally a very long spraying hole, with a length approximately equal to the capsule radius, that must cross the same capsule for reaching its periphery until the axial peripheral side, where it is foreseen the bomb spraying nozzle. As the hole must have a very limited diameter (0.2-0.5 mm) in a plastic rib part, it is necessary to make a pin of thin wire that tends to be bended during the molding operation end causes an oblique or curved hole to be produced, this fact causing a deviated or dispersed product spraying.
  • Owing to these reasons the manufacturers of spraying devices of this type were compelled to make capsules in many parts, that, when assembled, form a spraying channel of short length. In other cases the capsule is made in a sole piece, but shows the above mentioned drawbacks.
  • All of these drawbacks have suggested to us to search a solution more suitable for solving the spraying problem, making a spraying capsule in a sole piece, that includes also the control lever for the same spraying and which, in the lower part, embodies a spraying hole having a very little diameter and with short length, just sufficient for getting a spraying from an insertion pipe on the top end of spraying bomb.
  • The invention foresees to make a capsule having substantially a cylindrical form, but with two cavities opposed with one another, the first one for allowing the introduction of a trolley into the plastic material mold that allows to make a spraying hole with very little dimensions both in diameter and in length. Another cavity is foreseen on the opposed side and houses a lever joined to the capsule body by an elastic block so that it is possible to make the whole piece using a sole molding stroke, avoiding in this manner the use of many pieces as it was necessary in the process of the preceding technics.
  • An embodiment of the invention will be described with greater details in the following description, made with reference to the annexed drawing, that shows:
  • Figure 1 a cross section view of the capsule with its main parts, that are the sleeve with spraying nozzle and the lever supporting it;
  • Figure 2 a partial plan view of the capsule of Figure 1;
  • Figure 3 a schematic perspective view and drawn by free hand drawing that shows the action way of molding trolley for getting the micrometric spraying hole.
  • Observing at first the Figure 1, in cross section, and the Figure 2 in plan view, it can be noticed that the capsule body 1 is substantially cylindrical in form and that it shows a roof 2 that limits the top capsule part. The left side of drawing shows the cavity 3 that has two walls 3* directed substantially in radial direction and that end on a slightly conical part 3' limiting the cavity 3. The side diametrically opposed to cavity 3 forms a second cavity CE that holds a lever 4, having substantially a drop form and the lateral walls 9 that limit the capsule 1 on this side. The connection between the right-hand and left-hand side of symmetrical capsule is also obtained using a thin connection element made in circumference arc form 7 that is substantially joined near the top part 2 of the capsule, but with its ends joined to the walls 9 and substantially tangential therewith. The walls 9 ends in lower side, inside the internal volume of the capsule, with the edges 10, 11, 12 forming the internal lower part of capsule 1. The lever 4 has a rib 4' on its periphery that is used to allow an easier grip by the user's finger (not represented). The elastic action of lever 4 is obtained by the tongue 7 that joins the lever to the capsule body and has a limited thickness.
  • During the plastic molding the lever generation cavity is joined with injection channels 5 that then are separated by the body 1 allowing the lever movement. The lower part of the lever 4 holds a little cylinder 6, supplied with a central hole 6' that ends towards high side with the more little hole 6'', that is the real insertion channel in the bomb delivery capsule. A micrometric injection hole F is naturally orthogonal to the hole 6'' and can have a little diameter of 0.2-0.5 mm in relation to density and tacky characteristic of the product to be sprayed.
  • The hole F can be finished in the output zone by a conical part F1 or any other form, in relation to the product to be sprayed.
  • The internal lower part of capsule foresees, as usual made, at least six ribs 8 for the engagement of the capsule 1 on the top bomb edge.
  • The Figure 3 shows in schematic view the main parts of the invention in a free hand-made perspective view. This figure shows the main parts of the capsule, that is the cavity 3 for the insertion of the trolley CR that holds the pin 13, shown in very enlarged diameter with respect to real dimensions, that are only of 0.2-0.5 mm or greater according to the product to be sprayed. The little cylinder 5 is easily accessed by the hole molding trolley penetrating into the cavity 3 that allows its approaching until approximately the capsule centre. The hole 10 is made in this simple manner without using very long pins (5-6 centimetres) or without using a particular insertion block for getting a gauged spraying hole.
  • Another evident advantage of the invention is that it makes a capsule having an easier hand grip, as the lever 4 for controlling the spraying is housed between two walls 9 and therefore, also when hands are wetted, it is possible to grip and insert the finger for the spraying control of a lacquer or perfume.
  • Notwithstanding a certain complexity of the mold, to be made in various pieces, the Applicant thinks to be able to obtain capsules of various measures with a manufacturing cost reduced with respect to the traditional molds, that were made of 2-3 parts and required evidently at least 4-6 molds as minimum and 2-3 molding, delivery and finishing operations. On the contrary this invention allows to make a finished piece with a sole molding operation, then with production rate at least triple with respect to the ones of preceding solutions.
  • Although this invention was described with reference to its particular embodiments, many other variants and modifications and other uses shall be evident to the persons skilled of technics. Therefore it is preferred that this invention is not limited by the specific shown disclosure, but only by annexed claims.
