Abstract

A rail system has an extruded plastic strip with two lower flanges with a downward facing slot and linked by a cross piece (16). The slot has inner grip flanges (34) to hold the folded over ends of flat inserts. The depth of the slot is 4 to 6 mm. A similar slot system on the top of the strip provides a grip for hanging supports (48) to hang the system from a wall, ceiling etc. The ends of the strip are pressed to form stops to prevent the flat items sliding out.
