Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Anordnung zur Kommunikation zwischen einer Basisstation und weiteren Stationen einer Postbearbeitungsmaschine und zu deren Notabschaltung, wobei pro Station jeweils zwei Schnittstellen vorgesehen sind, um zwei benachbarte Stationen schnittstellenmäßig zu verbinden und daß die Postbearbeitungsmaschine nach beiden Seiten unbegrenzt erweiterbar ausgebildet ist, wobei die Steuerung programmiert ist, die jeweils ankommende Nachricht auszuwerten oder zur jeweils anderen Schnittstelle weiterzuleiten, wenn sie nicht an die empfangende Station gerichtet ist, sowie daß Hardware- und Softwaremittel vorgesehen sind, damit über eine Notausleitung von jeder Station eine Notabschaltung aller Stationen aktiviert werden kann.

The invention relates to an arrangement for communication between a base station and other stations of a mail processing machine and for their emergency shutdown, with two interfaces being provided per station in order to interface two neighboring stations and that the mail processing machine can be extended to either side without limitation, the Control is programmed to evaluate the incoming message or to forward it to the other interface if it is not directed to the receiving station, and that hardware and software means are provided so that an emergency shutdown of all stations can be activated via an emergency exit from each station.
