- A method for unloading reams of sheets (36) of securities from an exit of a machine (34) for the production of securities comprising at least one tray rack (31), said method being characterised by the following partially automated steps:a) placing of a container (1) comprising at least one door (6) on the same side as the tray rack (31),b) positioning and locking of the container (1) relative to the rack,c) transfer of the trays (32) carrying the reams (36) from the rack (31) into the container (1),d) closing of the door (6) of the container (1),e) unlocking of the container (1), the latter then being capable of being moved.
- The method as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that the positioning and locking step comprises the following steps:positioning of the container (1) by selfcentering means,locking of the container (1) by indexing and interlocking means (20),coupling of a door opening and closing driver (27),detection of the position of the door (6),control of a motor (26) connected to the door opening and closing driver (27), in order to open the door, if necessary, the coupling of the door opening and closing driver taking place at the same time as the locking of the container by the indexing and interlocking means (20).
- The method as claimed in claims 1 or 2, characterised in that the transfer of the trays (32) carrying the reams (36) from the rack (31) into the container (1) takes place simultaneously for all the trays (32), and in that a pusher (41) is used for carrying out the transfer step.
- The method as claimed in one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the step of closing the door (6) of the container (1) comprises the following steps:control of the motor (26) connected to the door opening and closing driver (27) in order to close the door,removal of the door opening and closing driver, andinterlocking of the door.
- The method as claimed in one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the step of unlocking the container comprises the removal of the indexing and interlocking means (20).
- An apparatus for unloading reams of sheets (36) of securities from an exit of a machine (34) for the production of securities having at least one tray rack (31), characterised in that it comprises:a closed container (1), at least one of the walls (2,3,4,5) of which comprises a door (6) capable of being opened and closed automatically,means (20) for positioning and locking the container (1) relative to the tray rack (31),means (16,19,26,27,30) for opening and closing the door (6),a transfer system (40) for moving the trays (32) carrying the reams (36) from the rack (31) into the container (1),an automatic system for controlling and checking the indexing and interlocking means (20), the means (16,19,26,27,30) for opening and closing the door, the transfer system (40) and the position of the door.
- The apparatus as claimed in claim 6, characterised in that the container (1) comprises four walls (2,3,4,5) which face one another in pairs and of which the walls (3,5) of one pair comprise supports (11,12), intended for receiving the trays (32) carrying the reams (36), and feet (8,9,14,15), and in that the door (6) slides vertically.
- The apparatus as claimed in claim 6 or 7, characterised in that the indexing and interlocking means (20) comprise means for positioning on the floor, which consist of two selfcentering cones fixed relative to the tray rack (31), for receiving at least two feet (8,9,14,15) of the container (1), at least one jack (21,21'), a support (19) fastened to the exit of the production machine (34) by guide means consisting of two vertical slideway systems (22,23), and at least one positioning index (24,25) fastened to the support (19) and cooperating with a corresponding opening in the container (1), the jack (21,21') moving the support (19) along the guide means (22,23) from a retracted position into a position locking the container (1) relative to the tray rack (31).
- The apparatus as claimed in one of claims 6 to 8, characterised in that the means for opening and closing the door (6) of the rack (1) comprisea winding tube (16) cooperating with an endless screw,a motor (26),an opening and closing driver (27) intended for cooperating with the endless screw,a transmission element connecting the motor (26) to the driver (27),
- The apparatus as claimed in one of claims 6 to 9, characterised in that the transfer system (40) comprises at least one frame (42,43), a pusher (41) moving laterally on a guide rail (44), and means for driving the pusher (41) in order to move it along the guide rail (44), said pusher (41) being sufficiently tall to transfer a set of trays simultaneously.
- The apparatus as claimed in claim 10, characterised in that the means for driving the pusher comprise a motor (46) and a ball screw (45) which are connected to one another by means of a transmission shaft (49) and a serrated transmission (48).
- The apparatus as claimed in claim 11, characterised in that the means (16,26,27,30) for opening and closing the door of the rack (1) comprise, furthermore, a safety limiter (30) to prevent the motor (26) from being overloaded, and in that the means for driving the pusher (41) comprise a safety limiter (47) for preventing the motor (46) from being overloaded, the apparatus comprising a safety element (28) keeping the indexing and interlocking means (20) in the retracted position in the event of a breakdown.
