Claims (9)

  1. A mould for making mouldings from plastic material, more particularly ceramic material, comprising two mould halves each comprising a light-metal or light-metal alloy support part (2, 2') and a synthetic resin core (4, 4') and each connectable to one terminal of a voltage source (24), the space (14) between the edges of the two mould halves being filled by the plastic material when the mould is closed, characterised in that on the mould cavity side each core (4, 4') is covered by an intermediate layer consisting of an elastomer such as a rubber cloth (6) or rubber membrane (6'), in that each intermediate layer (6, 6') is clamped between a mould half and a metal edge strip (8, 8') adjacent the mould cavity and electrically connected to the associated mould half, and the mould half is clamped and in that one terminal of the voltage source (24) is connectable via an edge strip (8 or 8') and the other terminal is directly connectable to the associated mould half.
