Abstract

Detachable spindle for washing machine drum which is applied for the transmission of the swiveling to the washing machine drum. This spindle has the corresponding bearings and the detent for allowing the turn with regard to the tank that covers the drum so that the joining extreme of the spindle (1) to the drum (2) has a truncated cone shape with a pair of copes (9) that are diametrally confronted, on whose surface the injection of the drum body is realized so that it will be leaned against the same during the assembly.

Description

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION.
As is expressed in the title of the present descriptive report, the following invention consist of a detachable spindle for washing machine drum, being of the kind of those that the drum spindle remains interlocked to the drum, crossing the tank body and having the corresponding bearings and the watertightness lock for allowing the turn of the spindle that is interlocked to the drum with regard to the tank, so that as the spindle can be detached, its manipulation is making easy in case of failure or deterioration of the bearings as well as the repair and the change of those damaged components has been limited.
The fact is that the spindle of the washing machine drum will be detachable makes easy the manipulation of the whole that is related to it by the technical assistance service as well as the change of the spindle and the bearings in case of deterioration, placing other new components in a easy and fast way and with a minimum cost since it is detachable.
Thus, if there is a wear of the bearing tracks of the drum, the same can be replaced with another one without having to change not any additional component directly related to it.
FIELD OF APLICATION.
The detachable spindle for washing machine drum is applied for all kind of washing machines and it remains interlocked to the drum for transmitting the swiveling to it, so that the spindle crosses the body of the washing machine tank since it has the corresponding bearings and detent.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION.
Conventionally, the spindle that transmits the swiveling to the washing machine drum, is interlocked to it and the bearings, that allow its turn with regard to the fixed tank, are assembled on the same.
In this way, if there is a deterioration of the bearings, it usually implicates the deterioration of the bearing tracks of the spindle so that we only have to change the bearings for solving the problem. Often, the new bearings end up creating some tracks in the spindle so that the only solution is the change of all the whole, that is the bearings and the spindle joined the drum that is interlocked to, with the high cost that this implicates.
The fact of to change only the bearings in case of deterioration is a consequence of the high price that means to change all the whole, but finally the only valid solution is the change of all the whole if there is a deterioration of the bearings since otherwise the problem continues.
The drum spindle is assembled interlocked to the drum, given that for a correct working the cited whole must come true the following characteristics: 100% anti-turn, 100% anti-traction and 100% perpendicularity between them.
Thus, the three cited characteristics between the drum and the spindle are obtained because of the joining of two elements between them through mechanical means so that the only solution that has been adopted until now has been to interlock them betwen them during the own manufacturing process in a not detachable way joining, to the spindle extreme that is interlocked to the drum, a perimetral cope so that when the drum body is injected, the cited cope remains crammed, stopping its minimum displacement.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION.
In the present report, a detachable spindle for washing machine drum is described. This system is usable for the transmission of the swiveling to the washing machine drum, which has the corresponding bearings and detent for allowing the turn with regard to the tank that covers the drum. Besides, it has a perfect watertightness, being the spindle constituted by the joining extreme to the drum with truncated cone shape so that its lateral surface is endowed of a pair of copes, according to all its height, that are diametrally confronted and on whose surface the injection of the drum body is realized, obtaining in this way their total homogeneity.
The spindle has a threaded blocked up hole in relationship to the joining base of the drum body so that the corresponding screw of fixing between both bodies is inserted into the cited hole, with a great advantage that consists of the cited joining is detachable, allowing the change of the bearings and the spindle without need to have to change not any other component in case of deterioration of the bearings so that this makes easy the apparatus manipulation by the technical service and let obtain a great reduction in the price of the repair of a possible failure.
The injection of the body of the fixing drum to the spindle on the same, let obtain some backing surfaces with a total homogeneity, allowinng a 100% adjustment between the drum body and the new detachable spindles that are mechanized with a total accuracy, so that in this way all the mechanical characteristics that are required for the perfect joining between the spindle and the drum are carried out, as being 100% anti-turn, 100 % anti-traction and 100% perpendicularity, besides there is a 100% adjustment between them and the spindle is detachable.
In order to complement the description which is made hereinafter and for the purpose of providing a better understanding of its characteristics, the present descriptive report is accompanied by a drawing, in whose figures the most significant details of the invention are represented in an illustrative and not limitative way.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DESIGNS.
Figure 1.- It shows a sectioned view of the spindle that transmits the movement to the washing machine drum, where we can observe the truncated cone shape in the joining of the spindle with the drum body, as well as the threaded blocked up hole that is placed in an axial central position with regard to the spindle, in relationship to the cited joining base.
Figure 2.- It shows a plan view of the drum spindle, by the fixing base, through the corresponding screw, so that we can observe the truncated cone shaped surface of backing to the drum body, being endowed of a pair of copes that are diametrally confronted fortheir joining.
DESCRIPTION OF A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT.
In view of the above cited figures and in accordance with the used numbering. we can observe how the spindle (1) is fixed to the drum body (2) through one of its bases, on which the corresponding screw (7) is inserted into the threaded blocked up hole (3) of the spindle, being placed in an axial and central position with regard to the joining base.
For obtaining an interlocked fixing between the spindle (1 ) and the drum (2) with the neccesary characteristics of 100% anti-turn, 100% anti-traction and 100% perpendicularity between them, the drum is injected on the surface with truncated cone shape (4) of one of the extremes of the spindle (1 ) during the own manufacturing process, allowing the neccesary mechanization of the spindle so that in this way, a perfect adjustment between the backing surfaces of the spindle and the drum body is obtained.
Thus, once the bearings (5) and the lock (6), that allow the turn of the spindle (1 ) pulling (1) the drum along, have been assembled, the corresponding screw (7) will be threaded into the blocked up hole (3) of the spindle that is joined to the drum so that the cited action can be carried out because the internal base of the drum (2) has a hole (8) that let manoeuvre on the subjection screw.
In this way, if there is a deterioration of the backings (5), the disassembly of the spindle (1) can be done unscrewing the screw (7) and liberating the whole of the spindle with the bearings with the back of the tank, allowing the change not only of the bearings but also of the spindle for being able to incorporate some news components, so that the new spindle will be coincide perfectly with the housing of the drum body for being able to fix through the corresponding screw (7). In this way, all the mechanical characteristics that the cited joining requires are taken into account.
Likewise, the spindle (1) has a pair of copes (9) in relationship to its surface with truncated cone shape (4), so that once the spindle has been fastened through the screw (7), the required characteristics of 100% anti-turn, 100% anti-traction and 100% perpendicularity between the spindle and the drum are obtained, but besides a 100% adjustment between them is obtained with the addition of the spindle is detachable so that it represents a great advantage for the technical service as well as for the user since in case of failure, a perfect repair will be allowed with a minimum cost.

Claims (3)

  1. DETACHABLE SPINDLE FOR WASHING MACHINE DRUM which is applicable for the transmission of the swiveling to the washing machine drum and which has the corresponding bearings and the lock for allowing the turn with regard to the tank that covers the drum. The cited spindle (1) is characterized because its extreme of joining to the drum (2) has a truncated cone shape with a pair of copes (9) that are diametrally confronted, on whose surface the injection of the drum body is realized so that it will be leaned against the same during the assembly.
  2. DETACHABLE SPINDLE FOR WASHING MACHINE DRUM according to the first claim and characterized because the spindle (1) has a threaded blocked up hole (3) in relationship to its joining base to the drum (2) so that the corresponding fixing screw (7) is inserted into the cited hole.
  3. DETACHABLE SPINDLE FOR WASHING MACHINE DRUM according to the previous claims and characterized because the injection of the drum body of fixing to the spindle on the same let obtain a 100% adjustment between them because of the mechanization of spindles with a perfect adjustment and perpendicularity with the drum at the same time they are detachable.
