Description

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION.
As is expressed in the title of the present descriptive report, the following invention consists of a self-adjustable starting system for the water distributor in washing machines dispenser, which is useful for its incorporation in automatic washing machines for the correct conduction of the water that goes in the dispenser to the division that corresponds to the washing cycle in which the progammer is, so that the self-adjustable starting system allows the distributor to be perfectly commanded in each new progamme although an accidental maladjustement takes place, being the cited self-adjustement during all the appliance life.
Thus, the distributor starting system is essentially based on a pulley of spiral narrow pass that is crossed by the connection cable, remaining the cited pulley joined to the distributing body so that the cited connection cable is joined to the cam reader of the progammer through one of its extremes while its other extreme is joined to the spring that is fixed to the own dispenser.
Likewise, a part of the cable length is lodged in a cover which two extremes are fixed to the respective fastening pieces so that if there is some accidental displacement of the cover, as it can happened because of an inaccurate initial fastener, a maladjustement of the connection cable can take place at the moment of the stoppage, but its automatic adjustement take place at the moment of the progammer activation because it has the pulley of spiral narrow pass that is crossed by the cable and some stops of the distributing body that will allow the cable slipping when it arrives at the stops, causing the self-adjustement.
FIELD OF APLICATION.
The self-adjustable starting system for the water distributor in washing machine dispensers is applicable in automatic washing machines and it is refered to the connection that exists between the cam reader of the progammer and the distributor of water entry into the dispenser, so that in accordance with the washing cycle that is determined by the progammer, the water entry into the corresponding division of the dispenser so that the cited division contains the respective washing product that will be pulled by the water.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION.
The automatic washing machines are endowed of the water entry dispenser in their upper part, being this dispenser endowed of a whole of divisions that lodge the detergent and the rest of products that are utilized during the washing process.
The cited dispenser has a whole of canals so that the entry water is conveyed to these canals by the distributing control according to the washing cycle that goes to take place.
The cited distributing control is commanded from the progammer through a cam which is connected to a stiff element that is joined to the distributing control. Thus and in accordance with the progammer advance, it acts on the cam that causes the turn of the distributing control for conveying the water to the suitable canal.
The movement transmission, materialized by a rigid element placed on the upper part of the appliance, from the front part of the control panel in which the progammer is placed to the dispenser which is placed in the back part, makes difficult the placement of other appliance mechanisms.
Besides, the transmission mechanism that is made up of rigid elements shows some gaps that will be resolved with difficulty, although there are continous adjustments that can cause a defective working of the appliance.
Other starting system for the water distributor in automatic washing machines dispensers is formed by a cable, being great part of the cable length lodged in a cover so that one of the cable extremes is joined to the cam reader of the progammer and its other extreme is fixed to a upper body of the dispenser, which is joined to the distributor for transmiting the gyratory movement that is necessary for the suitable water conduction to each of the dispenser divisions.
Likewise, the system has a gyratory tensile piece so that one of its extremes has a upper fastened body to the cover while its adjustment is carried out through its other extreme. Thus, if the piece which is joined to the distributor and fixed to the cable does not remain perfectly adjusted, the worker will have to act on the tensile piece for the indicator of the upper piece of the distributor indicates the correct position.
The distributing body is affected by the action of a spring so that it remains placed since it places the tensile piece adequately when the adjustment of the starting system has happened.
The drawback of this system emerges if the accidental maladjustment of the starting takes place. This maladjudstement can damage the washing process so that the technical services can be necessary for its new adjustement.
The accidental maladjustement of the starting can be caused by several motives. Thus, the cover only have to be fixed in its activation by a simple rough edge for causing the maladjustement when later it will be in its static position so that the drawback that emerges consits of the necessary intervention of the technical services for its new adjustement.
In the other hand, as the distributor adjustement is done without precision, the indicator is more or less near of the respective signs depending on the vision angle from which the adjustment will be done. Because of this motive, different workers can carry the adjustment out in different points so that the system lacks a perfect reliability.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION.
In the present report, a self-adjustable starting system for the water distributor in automatic washing machine dispensers is described. This system is usable for the movement transmission from the cam reader of the progammer in its turn during the washing cycle to the water distributor of the corresponding dispenser division. The washing products are placed into these divisions, being the movement transmited by a connection cable so that the system is basically formed by a pulley of spiral narrow pass that is crossed by the connection cable, the stop means of the whole pulley-water distributor into the dispenser divisions, the tensile means of the connection cable and the guide means of the own connection cable through a spindle which receives the strength of the cable.
The conduction pulley of the connection cable shows a spiral narrow pass and it is joined to the distributing body of the water into the several dispenser divisions because it has a projection, that is lodgeg into a distributor housing of similar section, which acts as the turn spindle of the whole pulley-distributor.
In the other hand, the pulley of spiral narrow pass is fixed to a lid that has a lateral gable that adapts oneself to its lateral surface, closing the spiral narrow pass of conduction of the connection cable.
Likewise, the whole pulley-distributor has a pair of stops that limit its trip with regard to the dispenser divisions for the water introduction so that one of the stops allows its commanded placement when the progammer control is activated because the progammer control action causes the dragging of the cable and the consequent turn of the whole pulley-distributor until it contacts with the adjustment stop. At that moment, the implementation of the progammer control will cause the slipping of the cable into the pulley, but not its dragging and turn, so that thus the system self-adjustment will take place each time a new machine progamming will happen, happening this event during all its useful life.
The opposite extreme of the connection cable than the one that joins it to the cam reader is fixed to a spring whose other extreme is fixed to the own dispenser so that the connection cable remains tense.
In the other hand, as the stress practised by the cable is received by the spring of union between the pulley and the distributor and that acts as the turn spindle of the whole, for avoiding a possible break, the system is susceptible of incorporating a spindle that will conduct the connection cable from its pulley exit for its connection with the tensile spring, being the cited spindle the one that will receive the stress practised by the cable.
The cited spring is not indispensable because the stress that is practised by the cable is small and consequently the break risk of the connection spring from the pulley to the water distributor is minimum because it receives perfectly the cited strength.
In order to complement the description which is made hereinafter and for the purpose of providing a better understanding of its characteristics, the present descriptive report is accompanied by a drawing, in whose figures the most significant details of the invention are represented in a illustrative way and not limitative.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DESIGNS.
Figure 1.- It shows a plan view of the self-adjustable starting system placed on the dispenser, where we can observe the pulley that is joined to the distributor body that lodges the connection cable into its spiral narrow pass, being it finished off by a extreme spring. Besides we also observe the fastener body of the cover, and the progammer cam and its reader that will be with regard to the progammer control over the appliance frontal part.
Figure 2.- It shows a lateral view in elevation of the starting system, where we can observe the distributor body, the upper pulley that is joined to it and the extreme spring, being the dispenser lid sectioned.
DESCRIPTION OF A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT.
In view of the above cited figures and in accordance with the used numbering, we can observe how the self-adjustable starting system of the water distributor (1) into the inner part of the automatic washing machine dispenser (2) with regard to its division referring to the corresponding washing cycle, is formed by a pulley (3) of spiral narrow pass that is crossed by the cable (4) that connects the cam (6) reader (5) of the progammer with the spring (7).
Thus, great part of the length of the cable (4) that acts as starting is lodged in the cover (8) which is fixed through one of its extremes to the fastener body (9) of the dispenser (2) upper side, and to the own machine chassis.
In this way, the connection cable (4) is fixed to the cam (6) reader (5) of the progammer through one of its extremes, and after being conducted through the spiral narrow pass (13) of the pulley (3), it is fixed through its other extreme to the spring (7), which is fixed to the joint fastener (10) of the dispenser. For assuring the cable (4) placement into the pulley (3) narrow pass (13), the cited pulley has a closing lid (11) that blocks the lateral surface of the pulley (3), that is it blocks its narrow pass.
In the other hand, the pulley body (3) has a little lower central pivot that will be inserted into the corresponding housing of the distributing body (1), materializing thus the union between both bodies. This union can be carrying out at any position of the distributor (1), because the system self-adjustement will take place later, only activating the progammer control.
In this way and during the system assembly, It will take place the fastening among the cover (8) and the cable (4) extremes, which other extremes are joined to the cam (6) reader (5) of the progammer and to the spring (7) that at the same time is fixed to the own dispenser (2), so that the cable (4) crosses the spiral narrow pass (13) of the pulley (3), that is fixed to the distributing body (11) in any position of the same. The cited distributor (1) remains gyratory between a pair of lateral stops that will allow its introduced turn to the several divisions of the dispenser (2).
Once the system has been assembled, we only have to activate the progammer control for the displacement of the reader (5) causes the dragging of the cable (4) that will be cause, because of the simple friction, the turn of the whole pulley (3)-distributor (1) until itself does stop, being the gauge (14) indicating the position 0 so that when the cited whole does stop, the only element that can slide will be the cable (4) because of its own dragging, tautening the spring (7) so that the perfect distributor self-adjustement has happened in this way.
The spiral narrow pass (13) of the pulley (3) will form an angle bigger than 360 degrees because the cable turns the pulley round once as minimum.
In accordance with what we said, once the progammer control is activated again if there is any displacement of some system element that causes its maladjustement, we will act in the same described way, and the system will be autoadjusted again, avoiding in this way some posible interventions of the technical service if the maladjustement has take place because of the usual use of the machine by the user, because the system will be autoadjust again when the user activates the progammer control.
In the other hand, the system can incorporate a spindle (12) as an accesory element, so that the cable (4) is carried from the pulley (3) to the spring (7), avoiding the concentration of the practised strength over the union spindle of the pulley (3) with the distributor body (1).
Wiith the use of the proposed system, the positioning of the tensile piece is avoiding as well as the tensile operation by a worker so that it represents a decrease concerning the material and the labour, causing an economical saving because through the proposed system, the assembly can be carried out with any distributor position without an adjustment will be necessary. Besides, the proposed system has a total reliability because the distributor remains perfectly placed indepently of the bigger or smaller worker skill.
Equally, as the system autoadjusts itself in each new progamming if there is any maladjustement during its customary use so that it will autoadjust itself at the moment in which it will be progammed again, avoiding some problems to the user and the consequent call to the technical service for the manual adjustment of the system such as it is carried out during its assembly in the factory since the user does not know this operation and can not carry out it.
