Abstract

The seal rests against a window pane, protruding from the base part which is fixed to a window casement (1). A support part also protrudes from the base part. The seal consists of cellular or foam material, and the base part is harder and less compressible. The support part has a row of protuberances separated by recesses and spaced apart. The row of protuberances extends in the lengthwise direction of the seal (5).

Description

The invention relates to a strand-shaped seal for Windows or similar components in the preamble of the claim 1 genus mentioned.

Such a seal is already known (EP-A-0 652 346). there the support part has a series of incisions. It is also known from DE-A-4 228 874, the Sealing part in its elastic deformability by a to improve the larger cavity inside the sealing part. While such seals are made in one piece, is at another known seal (EP-A-0 247 533) flexible plastic existing sealing part from other Material as the base part made of rigid plastic and support part made.

Although such seals have already proven their worth in some cases have, it prepares both during assembly and at Sealing problems when the strand of the sealing profile is around For example, 90 ° corners must be deflected, as a result folds often appear, which leads to leaks.

The invention has for its object a strand To improve the seal of the type mentioned at the beginning, that, despite being easy to manufacture, without loss the tightness also around 90 ° corners in the glazing area Window can be relocated without having to assemble Problems arise.

Die Erfindung ist im Patentanspruch 1 gekennzeichnet. The invention is characterized in claim 1.

According to the invention, the Support part on a series of wells, which by Raises (increased in relation to the depressions) from each other are separated and spaced apart so that the row of depressions in the longitudinal direction of the strand-shaped Seal extends. This results in a kind comb-shaped structure of the support part. The wells are in particular embossed notch-shaped or groove-like recesses or material weaknesses.

While increasing the preferred embodiment of the invention the "support function" for example in a slot of the meet window sashes made in particular of wood, allow the weakening of material in the area of the depressions between the increases a better turn around, for example 90 °, although the material at the relevant point of the Base part or support part a Shore hardness between 50 and 95, in particular between 65 and 80 Shore. The "Bending" the seal in the area of the sealing part, the Cross-sectional thickness in particular several times the support part is not a big problem because the sealing part from in particular closed-cell or foamed Material, especially foam rubber. Both parts, the Sealing part on the one hand and the base and support part on the other hand, there are preferably the same material, especially rubber or elastomers, even if through Introduce very small voids that are particularly homogeneous are distributed, different properties in the sealing part of these parts can be set.

The invention avoids the V-shaped incision or cutting by 45 ° on miter and gluing on the corners what is not only very time-consuming, but also often leads to sealing problems at the corners, especially with driving rain led. The strand-shaped seal according to the invention is in front especially on the outside exposed to wind and rain in the area between window sash and window glass.

The recesses are made in particular by embossing, for example Running an embossing wheel into the material strand before vulcanization or by cutting accordingly produced with a cutting knife after the vulcanization process. It is recommended if the remaining cross-sectional thickness of the material on the wells extending in the longitudinal direction extending row is about 0.1 to 0.3 mm, while the distances between adjacent depressions or adjacent increases between 1 and 5 mm should.

In addition, the surveys or recesses wavy with gradual changes in cross-section and not sharp, because this avoids the risk of tearing and the support function is favored despite the fact that it can be deflected around corners.

The support part is between the ridges in cross section preferably weakened to about 10 - 40%, so that the sealing cross-section in the region of the recess, which preferably extends from a sealing edge with a recess firmly attached to the sealing part, is only as thick as in the region of the elevations An essentially wave-shaped arrangement also offers advantages weakening lines running parallel to each other, essentially through elongated perforation holes in the Material of the support part are formed and preferably in The normal direction to the outer edge of the same, because of this good mutual support from neighboring, for example Incisions of separate parts of the support part he follows.

It has been shown that despite being relatively wider Sealing profile formation, i.e. relatively wider Support parts and a relatively large distance Support surface of the support part from the sealing surface of the as Sealing lip trained sealing part, surprisingly no wrinkling when turning around corners in such a way occurs that the sealing function and the thermal insulation function is impaired in accordance with the Heat Protection Ordinance.

According to Figure 1 are two glass panes forming a window pane 2 attached to a window sash 1 made of wood, the from the fixed glare or window frame 4 a bit in the interior R is swung away. At groove 3 in the window sash 1 is on the W side facing the weather Side a seal 5 according to the invention, for example, according to Art of Figure 2.

On the one hand, this seal 5 has a bead-like seal part 6 made of foam rubber with numerous small cell-like or pore-like cavities 6b, which at the in broken lines illustrated dividing line 6a in FIG passes over the base part 7, which, on the other hand, is compact Rubber is made. The seal 5 is therefore a one-piece integrated element made of the same base material, here rubber, its properties only through the proportion of voids 6b are changed in the sealing part 6 relative to the base part 7. The base part 7 closes on the same side as the Sealing part 6, but facing away from the weather side W, a support part 8, which consists of increases 9, which by Material weaknesses 10 are separated from each other, like that can be seen even better from FIG.

During the sealing part 6 in the longitudinal direction LR a uniform Cross-sectional thickness that is at least twice the cross-sectional thickness of the elevations 9 on the support part 8 is, the elevations 9 are each through depressions 10 separated from each other in the longitudinal direction LR. there there is also a distance between the elevations 9 and the Sealing part 6 in the transverse direction QR to form a kind Separation channel 22 between sealing part 6 and support part 8.

In the embodiment of FIG. 4, the support part 8 has more Rows of several, namely three increases 9a on the Place the elevation 9 of Figure 3 on; these increases 9a are separated from one another by sawtooth-like depressions 10a and form rows extending in the transverse direction QR of increases 9a. The sawtooth-like formation of these depressions 10a is designed such that the gently rising Flank also the outer elevation 9a located on the edge Insert the support part 8 with the base part 7 in the Slot 3 of the window sash 1 according to Figure 6 facilitates that Pulling out but difficult. The inventive Seal 5 inserted so far into the slot 3 that the Seal 5 finds a good hold there and with the Sealing part 6 made of foam rubber and flattened to the Creates outside of the glass pane 2 according to Figure 5. At the the inside of the other glass pane facing the interior R. 2 is another seal 15 by means of a holding strip 11 pressed. The glass panes 2 are supported on a block 13 on and are spaced by a spacer 12 kept apart. The depressions 10a and preferably less deep than the depressions 10.

It is advisable to form the sealing part 6 in such a way that the elastomeric foam with preferably closed cells or cavities 6a of an average size in the micrometer to millimeter range preferably has a density between 0.2 and 0.8 g / cm 3 .

wherein material weakenings of the supporting portion (8) are constituted by at least a row of depressions (10), which are separated from each other by elevations (9), and are disposed such that the row of depressions (10) extends in the longitudinal direction (LR) of the strand-shaped seal (5), characterized in that material weakenings of the sealing portion (6) are constituted by a cellular material, i.e. one that comprises small pore-shaped or, respectively, cell-shaped cavities (6b) and that the depressions or, respectively, the elevations are configured to be undulatory with gradual changes in cross-section, rather than to be sharp-edged.
  2. Seal according to claim 1, characterized in that the supporting portion (8) comprises further rows of depressions (10a) which are separated from each other by elevations (9) in a transverse direction (QR) extending transversely with respect to the longitudinal direction (LR) of the strand-shaped seal (5).
  3. Seal according to claim 2, characterized in that the depressions (10a) of the rows extending in the transverse direction (QR) are formed to be less deep in the supporting portion (8) or, respectively, in the base portion (7) than the depressions (10) of the row of elevations (9) extending in the longitudinal direction (LR).
  4. Seal according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cross-section of the base portion (7) is reduced to a cross-sectional thickness between 0.1 and 0.3 mm at the locations of the depressions (10) of the row extending in the longitudinal direction (LR).
  5. Seal according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the elevations (9) of the row extending in the longitudinal direction (LR) are separated from each other in uniform spacings between 1 and 5 mm.
  6. Seal according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the depressions (10, 10a) are impressed or cut into the base portion (7) or, respectively, the supporting portion (8).
  7. Seal according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the sealing portion (6) essentially protrudes from the base portion (7) towards the same side as the supporting portion, but comprises a multiple thickness over the latter in the uninstalled condition.
  8. Seal according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the depressions (10) of the row extending in the longitudinal direction extend from one edge of the seal (5) almost up to the sealing portion (6) and that the seal cross-section in the region of these depressions (10) is only 0.1 - 1.4 times as thick as the seal cross-section in the region of the elevations (9).
  9. Seal according to any or several of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cellular material of the sealing portion (6) comprises an essentially closed-cell structure having small cavities (6b) of an average size between 1 and 100 µm and a density between 0.2 and 0.8 g/cm2.
  10. Seal according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the base portion (7) comprises a Shore hardness between 50 and 95°.
