Claims (13)

  1. Protective element with a protective sleeve for pushing onto, or into, an in particular rod-like part (1), having resilient longitudinal lamellae (2) provided on an inner wall and/or outer wall of said protective element, the lamellae (2) being inclined such that their free end regions can be bent approximately radially to the longitudinal axis of the protective element, characterized in that of the two axial ends one terminates without a covering and the other terminates with a cover (5) closing it.
  2. Protective element according to Claim 1, characterized in that the cover (5) is snap-fitted or clamp-fitted.
  3. Protective element according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the protective sleeve has at least one longitudinal slit for swinging it open in the circumferential direction.
  4. Protective element according to Claim 3, characterized in that the borders forming the longitudinal slit can be circumferentially hooked one inside the other or latched to one another (hook connection 4).
  5. Protective element according to Claim 3 or 4, characterized in that the protective sleeve is provided, in addition to a longitudinal slit, with a film hinge (3) running parallel to the said slit.
  6. Protective element according to one of Claims 3 to 5, characterized in that the protective sleeve is divided in two in the longitudinal direction, and the two parts can be latched to one another or hooked to one another on their longitudinal borders (hook connection 4).
  7. Protective element according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the protective sleeve is of a cross-sectionally angular shape.
  8. Protective element according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the angular shape is a square shape.
  9. Protective element according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that in each case four longitudinal lamellae (2) are provided in a closed sleeve.
  10. Protective element according to one of Claims 3 to 9, characterized in that, in the case of a sleeve which can be swung open or is divided in two in the longitudinal direction, in each case two longitudinal lamellae (2) are provided in each half portion.
  11. Protective element according to Claim 10, characterized in that, in the case of a sleeve which is divided in half and of a total of four longitudinal lamellae (2), in each case two are arranged in one half, in each case one of these lamellae being arranged approximately parallel to the dividing plane and the other being arranged approximately at right angles to this plane.
  12. Protective element according to one of Claims 6 to 11, characterized in that the two protective-sleeve parts of a sleeve which is divided in two have the same function and can be connected to one another in positions in which they have been rotated through 180° in relation to one another.
  13. Protective element according to one of Claims 3 to 12, characterized in that, in the case of a sleeve which has been divided in two and has sleeve parts which are merely hooked to one another, a stable connection of the two sleeve parts is provided only when the lamellae (2) are subjected to stressing, in that these lamellae (2) subject the hook connection (4) to closure stressing.
