Abstract

The electric connector (1) provides a releasable connection of an electrically conductive multiple fibre flat band cable (6) to a pre-manufactured plug (5). The latter is to be inserted into the connector (1). The insulated housing (19) receives the electric contacts. The housing (19) has at least one contact element group (11) for the leads of the electric connection. The electric connector (1) is arranged as an adaptor between the flat cable terminal and the individual lead terminal in a screw clamp, insulation displacement clamp or spring clamp arrangement. The insulating housing (19) has no circuit board. The connector (1) preferably has lead pieces (11) made from a lead frame. Several separation points are provided between the lead pieces for connection pieces.
