Definitions

  • the invention relates to a mullion-rung construction, in particular for facades and roofs, for receiving flat elements, in particular glass panes or facade panels, according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
  • a post-rung construction with notches at the ends of the rung profiles is described in German Offenlegungsschrift DE 34 19 538.
  • the rungs of the previously known construction are notched at their ends in the area behind the grooves running at the edges of the front side, that is to say they are provided with a recess produced, for example, by milling out.

  • water that has formed on the front of the rungs and has penetrated there can flow into the area in front of the front of the post and be drained downward along the vertical posts there.
  • Due to the overlapping of the rung ends with the edge areas of the front sides of the posts the grooves for receiving sealing strips are present along the rungs, and the grooves running perpendicularly thereto are for receiving sealing strips along the posts.
  • the rung profile is also notched at its ends, namely up to the rear of the central web, which is excellent on the front surface, so that the grooves also Take up the sealing strips of the rung on the side surface of the post and only the middle bar of the rung overlaps the edge area of the front surface of the post.
  • no distance compensation is required for the sealing strips, since the corresponding grooves of the rungs and the posts are at the same level, but a vertical abutting edge remains between the side surface of the post and the end face of the groove of the adjacent rung. This vertical butt edge allows water to penetrate the interior of the building behind the facade.
  • the invention is based on the technical problem of creating a mullion-rung construction which allows a simple connection of mullions and rungs, the corresponding grooves of the rungs and the posts for receiving sealing strips being at the same level.
  • the posts designed as hollow profiles each have a plurality of grooves on their front side, which run along the longitudinal extent of the posts, and also as Hollow profiles formed rungs each have a plurality of grooves on their front side, which run along the longitudinal extent of the posts.
  • a rung connector is slidably guided in the longitudinal direction of the rung in the joint area to the posts in at least one of the grooves and is fixed in position on the rung.
  • a part of the rung connector can be inserted into an opening in the post corresponding to the cross-sectional shape of the rung connector, a straight joint being formed between the rung and post in the assembled state.
  • a straight joint is defined by the fact that both the side wall of the post and the end face of the rung abut one another in a common plane. There are therefore no notches in the joint area.
  • rung connectors which can be moved in the longitudinal direction of the rung and can be attached to the rung, a connection can be made between the rungs and the posts, with a straight joint between the rungs and the posts. Since there are no notches or overlaps between the rungs and the posts, the corresponding grooves of the rungs and the posts for receiving the sealing elements can be arranged on the same level and there is no need for complex shaping of the sealing elements, nor for complex manufacture of the end regions of the rungs. to make a simple connection between rungs and posts. Furthermore, by designing the post-rung construction according to the features of claim 1, a whole series of elements can be conveyed to the installation site in a preassembled state. Finally, incorrectly cut sprouts that are not between already arranged Posts can be used to bring them to the desired size with a simple, straight saw cut.

  • the sealing elements along the rung as well as the sealing elements along the post have fastening elements which engage in the fastening grooves of the associated spacer bar.
  • a liquid and vapor-tight barrier can be created along the front of the rungs and posts, whereby the fastening elements between the rung and the post in shape viewed from the outside of the building, the rung connector is located behind the waterproof barrier and therefore does not need to be sealed separately.

  • the sealing elements along the rung and the sealing elements along the post each have a drainage channel, the drainage channels of the sealing elements along the post engaging deeper into the second groove of the post than the drainage channels of the sealing elements along the rung.

Abstract

The structure accommodates flat plates or glass panes on a building facade or roof, each hollow profiled upright (12) having several lengthwise grooves (12A-C) in its front surface. Each hollow profiled crossbar (14) likewise has several such lengthwise grooves (14A-C) in its front surface. Where the crossbar butts against the upright, a connector (16) slides in one of its grooves and is lockable in position. Part of the connector engages in an opening in the upright. On connection of the latter and the crossbar a straight join is formed between them. There can be five grooves in both the upright and the crossbar, each comprising a third central groove and first and second ones situated symmetrically in relation to it, the second ones being adjacent to it.

A post-rung construction with notches at the ends of the rung profiles is described in German Offenlegungsschrift DE 34 19 538. The rungs of the previously known construction are notched at their ends in the area behind the grooves running at the edges of the front side, that is to say they are provided with a recess produced, for example, by milling out. Thus, the milled area of the rung ends lies on the side surface of the posts, while the central web and the grooves of the rung located on the edges of the front overlap the post on its front. As a result of this overlap, water that has formed on the front of the rungs and has penetrated there can flow into the area in front of the front of the post and be drained downward along the vertical posts there. Due to the overlapping of the rung ends with the edge areas of the front sides of the posts, the grooves for receiving sealing strips are present along the rungs, and the grooves running perpendicularly thereto are for receiving sealing strips along the posts.

This difference in position must be compensated for accordingly by the shape of the sealing strips, since these are in the same plane on the flat filling element, i.e. on the glass pane or facade panel.

In another mullion-rung construction for facades, as proposed in German patent DE 38 08 751, the rung profile is also notched at its ends, namely up to the rear of the central web, which is excellent on the front surface, so that the grooves also Take up the sealing strips of the rung on the side surface of the post and only the middle bar of the rung overlaps the edge area of the front surface of the post. With this arrangement, no distance compensation is required for the sealing strips, since the corresponding grooves of the rungs and the posts are at the same level, but a vertical abutting edge remains between the side surface of the post and the end face of the groove of the adjacent rung. This vertical butt edge allows water to penetrate the interior of the building behind the facade.

The invention is based on the technical problem of creating a mullion-rung construction which allows a simple connection of mullions and rungs, the corresponding grooves of the rungs and the posts for receiving sealing strips being at the same level.

This technical problem is solved by a post-rung construction with the features of claim 1.

The posts designed as hollow profiles each have a plurality of grooves on their front side, which run along the longitudinal extent of the posts, and also as Hollow profiles formed rungs each have a plurality of grooves on their front side, which run along the longitudinal extent of the posts. On the rungs, a rung connector is slidably guided in the longitudinal direction of the rung in the joint area to the posts in at least one of the grooves and is fixed in position on the rung. A part of the rung connector can be inserted into an opening in the post corresponding to the cross-sectional shape of the rung connector, a straight joint being formed between the rung and post in the assembled state.

A straight joint is defined by the fact that both the side wall of the post and the end face of the rung abut one another in a common plane. There are therefore no notches in the joint area.

By using the rung connectors, which can be moved in the longitudinal direction of the rung and can be attached to the rung, a connection can be made between the rungs and the posts, with a straight joint between the rungs and the posts.

Preferably, the posts and rungs designed as hollow profiles each have five grooves on their front side, a central, third groove and axially symmetrical to the central, third groove, first grooves and second grooves, the second grooves adjoining the central, third groove. As a result, a sufficient number of grooves are created on the hollow profiles of the post and rung to fulfill the diverse tasks of these components. On the one hand, sealing elements can be inserted and fastened in two of the five grooves formed. The above-mentioned rung connectors along the rungs can be conveniently arranged and fastened in the second grooves of the hollow profiles, while the central groove is used to fasten cover strips that close off the facade, but can also accommodate support elements that attach the facade panels .

The first grooves are preferably used for fastening sealing elements. Since the first grooves run along the side edges of the front of the post and the rung, it is advisable to attach the sealing elements in this area in order to make the entire post-rung construction liquid- and vapor-tight.

According to a preferred embodiment, the strip-shaped sealing elements along the rungs and the strip-shaped sealing elements along the posts each have tear-out slots along which the sealing elements can be divided. As a result, an overlapping connection between the sealing elements along the rungs and the sealing elements can be made directly on site, ie on the construction site along the posts in the joint area between the posts and rung.

Preferably, the sealing elements overlap along the rung and the sealing elements along the post so that the sealing element is arranged along the rung to the outside of the facade or the roof. As a result, the water that has penetrated behind the facade panels or the liquid that has condensed out in this area can be specifically transferred into the vertically arranged drainage ducts along the posts.

According to a preferred embodiment, a spacer bar is arranged above the central, third groove of the rung as well as above the central, third groove of the post, which has two fastening grooves running in the longitudinal direction.

Preferably, the sealing elements along the rung as well as the sealing elements along the post have fastening elements which engage in the fastening grooves of the associated spacer bar.

By attaching a spacer bar with longitudinally extending fastening grooves as well as engaging the sealing elements with the fastening grooves of the spacer bar, a liquid and vapor-tight barrier can be created along the front of the rungs and posts, whereby the fastening elements between the rung and the post in shape viewed from the outside of the building, the rung connector is located behind the waterproof barrier and therefore does not need to be sealed separately. Furthermore, the liquid and waterproof barrier also acts as a shielding surface Helps reduce heat loss due to heat radiation between the outside and inside of the building.

According to a preferred embodiment, the sealing elements along the rung and the sealing elements along the post each have a drainage channel, the drainage channels of the sealing elements along the post engaging deeper into the second groove of the post than the drainage channels of the sealing elements along the rung.

This design allows the penetrated or condensed liquid to be drained off to a different extent into the second grooves, by the drainage channels along the posts reaching behind the drainage channels along the rungs and thus representing a "second level" which transported those from the drainage channels of the rungs Can absorb liquid and drain it in a targeted manner.

The hollow profiles of the posts and rungs are preferably rolled in one piece from sheet metal, preferably sheet steel.

Fig. 1 shows schematically the connection area between the post 12 and rung 14 of a post-rung construction, which is generally designated by reference number 10.

The post 12, of which only a section is shown, as well as the rung 14 are each, as is clear from the figures described below, designed as hollow profiles. The posts 12 and rungs 14 are preferably formed in one piece from rolled steel, each of which has a longitudinal seam, not shown, in a groove base, which results from the production from rolled steel.

The post-rung construction 10 shown in FIG. 1 is used in particular for facades or roofs, with flat filler elements, such as glass panes or facade panels, being placed on the substructure formed by the posts, rungs and sealing and fastening elements. Fig. 1 shows the design of the mullion-rung construction seen from the outside of the facade.

As will become clearer from the following figures, both the post 12 and the rung 14 have a series of grooves, which are each arranged symmetrically to the longitudinal axis of the post 12 or the rung 14. Specifically, these are the grooves 12a and 14a for receiving and fastening sealing elements, 12b and 14b for receiving fastening elements and for the formation of drainage channels for penetrated or condensed water, as well as a central groove 12c or 14c for receiving fastening elements. While the bottom of the grooves 12a, 12b, 12c and 14a, 14b, 14c each lie on the same plane, the webs arranged between the respective grooves are of different heights.

Die Befestigung der Sprossenverbinder 16 in den Nuten 14b wird zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt eingehend beschrieben.1 shows the attachment of the rung 14 to the post 12. For this purpose, a rung connector 16 is located in each of the grooves 14b of the rung 14, the shape of which is described in more detail below with reference to FIGS. 2 and 3. The rung connectors 16 are each provided with an elongated hole 18 and thus allow the rung connectors to be displaced axially in the longitudinal direction of the rung 14. After the desired axial displacement of the rung connectors 16, they are fixed in position by means of a suitable fastening element 20, for example a hexagon socket screw. As already stated above, both the post 12 and the rung 14 are a closed hollow profile, so that the end of the fastening element 20 inside the profile is not accessible or is very difficult to access from the end faces. The attachment of the rung connector 16 in the grooves 14b will be described in detail later.

Fastening bolts 22 are arranged on the rung connectors 16 and engage in correspondingly shaped receiving openings in the post 12 when the rung 14 is attached to the post 12.

The rung 14 lies flat against the post 12, ie there are no shoulders or notches in the rung 14 or the post 12. This allows the desired Elongated rung 14 between two juxtaposed posts 12 inserted from the front and are attached to the post by moving the rung connector 16 in the axial direction of the rung and towards the post.

The view shown in FIG. 2 corresponds to that shown in FIG. 1. The rung connector 16 is preferably formed from cast steel and then plasticized. While the length of the rung connector can be varied within a wide range, its width is matched to the width of the groove 14b or the distance between the webs delimiting the groove 14b. As a result, the rung connector 16 slides in the groove 14b and no separate axial guidance is required. Small deviations are compensated for by the fact that the fastening bolt 22 has a slightly conical shape and thereby acts as a centering when entering the corresponding fastening hole in the post 12. The elongated hole 18 has an axial length which, even when two fastening elements 20 (not shown) are used, permits the adjustment path required for fastening the rung to the post.

Fig. 3 shows another view of the rung connector 16, it being clear that in the region of the elongated hole 18 of the rung connector 16 is narrower to prevent the sinking of one or more fasteners, for. B. in the form of fastening screws without the screw heads protruding over the rung connector 16.

Fig. 4 zeigt einen Schnitt entlang der Linie A-A in Fig. 1. This section runs exactly in the parting plane between Post 12 and rung 14, ie between the front end of the rung 14 and the side wall of the post profile 12. However, for better clarity, the rung profile is shown with broken lines. From Fig. 4 it can be seen that the rung connectors arranged in the grooves 14b of the rung 14 each with the fastening bolts 22 pass through a correspondingly shaped bore 26 in the post 12. The end face of the rung 14 is, as stated above, on the flat side wall of the post 12 without the need for steps or notches on the post or on the rung. This allows the rungs in a simple manner when creating post-rung constructions, for. B. can be cut to a desired size by a sawing process. The spacer bar 28, also shown in FIG. 4, will be described at a later point in time.

In the vertical section shown, the rung profile 14 and a web of the post 12 are again shown. A rung connector 16 is fastened in each of the grooves 14b of the rung 14. The fastening is carried out by means of a fastening element 20, which in the case shown is an Allen screw. Any precaution 32 is preferably taken with the fastening element 20 such that it is captively connected to the rung 14 even in the loosened state. The grooves 14b of the rung 14 are provided with a bore 30 through which the fastening elements 20 can be inserted into the rung 14. Subsequently, a blind plug nut 24 with the internal thread matched to the fastening element 20 is inserted into the rung profile 14 from the outside and is used for then screwing the fastener in place.

Due to the configuration of the fastening of the rung connector 16 in the groove 14b shown in FIG. 5, it can be preassembled on the rung 14 before the mullion-rung construction is connected, the fastening elements 20 being still loosened and therefore a displacement of the rung connector in Longitudinal direction of the rung, ie 5 perpendicular to the plane of the drawing. As a result, as will be shown later in connection with the design of the sealing elements, a large part of the individual components required for the mullion-rung construction can be delivered to the construction site in a preassembled state.

Fig. 6 shows a vertical section through the entire post-rung construction 10 of the present invention. To keep FIG. 6 clear, rung connectors 16, which are located in the grooves 14b of the rung 14 and would be visible in the present view of the section through a rung 14, have not been shown.

For this purpose, a spacer strip 28 already indicated in FIGS. 4 and 5 is first pushed over the central groove 14c of the rung so that two legs 36 of the spacer strip 28 made of plastic on the webs between the grooves 14b and 14c on the grooves 14b facing Sides tight. The spacer strip 28 has grooves 38 which extend in the longitudinal direction and, in the installed position, open upwards and downwards and are used for the clamping or form-fitting insertion of sealing elements in the form of elongated sealing strips. The sealing elements 40 are inserted on the one hand into the grooves 14a of the profile 14 and on the other hand engage in the grooves 38 of the spacer strip 28. On the one hand, this creates a sealing connection along the side of the rung 14 directed towards the outside of the building, and on the other hand the spacer strip 28 which is merely plugged onto the rung 14 fixed in position. Finally, the groove 14b of the rung is sealed against moisture penetrating from outside. As a result, those areas in which there are bores in the closed profile of the rung 14, ie in the area of the rung connectors 16, are sealed by the sealing element 40 and no additional sealing measure is required for the fastening elements for the rung connectors, not shown in FIG. 6.

The sealing element 40 is formed on the side facing the facade plate 34 as a labyrinth seal and additionally has longitudinal slots 42 which allow the seal 40 to be easily cut along the line shown in broken lines. As a result, an overlapping arrangement of the sealing elements running along the rung and the sealing elements running along the post can be formed in the joint region between rung 14 and post 12, as will be explained in more detail later. The facade shown in Fig. 6 is closed to the outside by a preferably multi-part cover strip 44 which extends in the longitudinal direction of the rung 14. The multi-part cover strip 44 shown in FIG. 6 consists of a first profile strip 46 which on the one hand serves to receive strip-shaped sealing elements 48 and on the other hand also has a plurality of bores along its course which serve to receive a fastening element which passes through the spacer strip 28 and is fastened in the central groove 14c. To seal in the area not shown To achieve fasteners and also to be able to individually design the visual appearance of the facade construction, a second profile strip 52, which together with the first profile strip 46 forms the cover strip 44, is fastened in a suitable manner on the first profile strip.

The fastening of the facade panels 34 takes place on the one hand by the clamping contact between the sealing elements 40 and 48, and on the other hand by resting on a support element 54, which provides on each rung 14 a support for the facade panel 34 extending upwards from the rung concerned. The load that occurs is transmitted to the support element 54 via the spacer strip 28 arranged therebetween and, in some areas, the sealing element 40 arranged therebetween to a plurality of fastening elements 56 arranged along the rung 14, which pass through the spacer strip through suitable bores and in the central groove 14c of the rung 14 can be fixed.

The rung 14 shown in FIG. 6 can already be largely preassembled by the sealing elements 40 already being arranged in the grooves 14a and engaging in the grooves 38 of the spacer strip 28 which is likewise attached to the rung 14. In this way, a fixation of the spacer strip 28 is already achieved. Furthermore, the fastening elements 56 can also be inserted into the central grooves 14c at predetermined intervals.

Fig. 7 shows a horizontal section through the post-rung construction. All components that are shaped corresponding to those shown in FIG. 6 are provided with the same reference numbers, even if the components shown in FIGS. 6 and 7 are not are identical since the FIGS. 6 and 7 are sectional representations which are carried out once in the vertical direction and once in the horizontal direction.

In the same way as was explained above in connection with FIG. 6, a spacer strip 28 and a cover strip 44 consisting of a first profile strip 46 and a second profile strip 52 are pushed or fastened onto the post 12 shown in FIG. 7. The sealing elements 48 shown in FIG. 7 are identical in construction to the sealing strips 48 shown in FIG. 6 and run in the horizontal direction. The facade panels 34 are fixed in position on the post 12 extending in the vertical direction only by the clamping installation between the sealing elements. The sealing elements which are inserted into the first grooves 12a of the post 12 and in turn inserted into a groove 38 of the spacer strip 28 differ from those shown in FIG. 6. The sealing elements 58 running along the vertical posts are designed with a view to the targeted removal of the steam or liquid which penetrates from the outside of the building or condenses in the facade area.

Comparing the design of the sealing elements 40 and 58 in FIGS. 6 and 7, it is clear that the sealing elements 40 and 58 have a different shape. While the sealing elements 58 running along the post 12 have a pronounced drainage channel 60, the corresponding drainage channel 62 of the seal 40 along the rung 14 is only very weakly pronounced. This means that the drainage channel 60 extends deeply into the second grooves 12b along the post, while the sealing elements 40 along the rungs have only a very slight drainage channel 62.

In the joint area between rung 14 and post 12, both the sealing elements 40 along the rung and the sealing elements 58 along the post are divided along the longitudinal slot 42 (see FIG. 6), and then arranged to overlap. Here, the upper halves of the sealing elements along the rungs, i.e. the halves facing the facade panel 34 and the exterior of the building are placed overlapping over the lower halves of the seals 58 along the post. This design of the seals creates a liquid- and vapor-tight connection between the rung and the post. The water collected in the essentially horizontal drainage channel 62 of the sealing element 40 is fed in the joint area between the rung and the post into the, as described above, much more bulged, vertically extending drainage channels 60 of the sealing element 58 and is conveyed downward. This creates a liquid- and vapor-tight barrier, which is additionally supported by the fastening of the sealing elements 40 or 58 to the spacer strips 28.

A further advantage of the design of the sealing elements shown is that the fastening elements between rung 14 and post 12 (see FIG. 4) are arranged behind the liquid- and vapor-tight barrier and therefore no separate sealing measures are necessary in the post-rung connecting area. The same applies to the rung connectors 16 shown in FIG. 1 and their fastening in the second grooves 14b of the rungs. These fastening elements are also located behind the drainage channel 62 and are therefore not to be sealed separately.

Another advantage of the illustrated design of the sealing elements 40 and 58 is that a continuous shield is formed along the front of the rungs and posts, which is formed by the sealing elements and the spacer bar. As a result, heat losses due to heat radiation between the cover strip 44 and the posts as well as rungs can be significantly reduced. The fastening elements 56 for supporting the facade panels also do not allow an opening to be created in the hollow profile 14 of the rung, since the fastening elements 56 are preferably screwed into the middle, third groove 14c, a self-tapping fastening element being used which does not the bottom of the middle, third groove 14c reached.

The assembly of the post-rung construction works in the following way. The posts are already preassembled in such a way that the sealing elements 58 are each inserted into the first grooves 12a, the spacer strip 28 is inserted over the webs delimiting the central groove 12c, and the sealing elements 58 are fastened in the grooves 38 of the spacer strip 28. The rungs are preassembled in the same way, the only difference is that near the front ends of the rung, on which a rung-post connection is to be made, the seals are not yet connected to the spacer strip 28 and, on the other hand, the seals are in each case protrude the front end of the rungs. The rung connectors are already preassembled on the rungs, but the rung connectors are still slidable.

The rungs can be inserted directly between the posts already arranged at a predetermined distance from the front and then by moving the Rung connectors each of the fastening bolts 22 are inserted into the correspondingly shaped bore 26 on the side walls of the post hollow profile. The rung connectors are then fixed with the aid of the fastening elements 20, so that the rung connectors can no longer slide back. In the overlap area of the sealing elements 40 and 58, they are divided along the longitudinal slots 42 in the manner described above and finally placed on top of one another in an overlapping manner. After a possible adhesive fixation of the sealing elements, the facade panels 34 are arranged, the supporting elements 54 and fastening elements 56 required for this are attached, and finally the cover strips with the sealing elements 48 inserted are screwed to the hollow profiles of the rungs 14 and posts 12.

The advantage of the present invention is that a very simple connection between posts and rungs has been created, which does not require notching or milling in the post as well as in the rung. There is a straight joint between rungs and posts, i.e. both the side wall of the hollow post section 12 and the end face of the rung 14 each lie against one another and in a common plane.
