Oftmals besteht die Anforderung, eine Metalloberfläche zu erhalten, wobei das Aufdampfen von dünnen Metallschichten zwar grundsätzlich möglich ist, doch den starken Belastungen und Abnutzungen oftmals nicht entspricht. Daher ist erfindungsgemäß der Oberfläche 42 eine Hülle 44 zugeordnet. Diese Hülle 44 besteht in zweckmäßiger Weise aus dünnem Metall und umgibt den Grundkörper der Abdeckplatte an der sichtbaren Seite vollständig, wie es aus der Fig. 11 klar zu ersehen ist. Die Hülle 44 ist mit dem Grundkörper 40 fest und dauerhaft verbunden. Hierzu ist die Hülle 44 bevorzugt auf die Oberfläche 42 des Grundkörpers geklebt. Wie aus Fig. 10 ferner zu ersehen ist, kann die Hülle 44 in einer alternativen Ausgestaltung Laschen 46 aufweisen, welche den hinteren Rand 48 des Grundkörpers 40 umgreifen. Die erfindungsgemäße Metallhülle 44 schützt den Grundkörper 40 in zweckmäßiger Weise vor äußeren Einwirkungen und die derart aufgebaute Abdeckplatte 4 zeichnet sich durch eine hohe Funktionalität und Lebensdauer aus.
