Definitions
- the present invention relates to a screw lock with child safety, with a Screw cap with an internal thread and a lower part with one with an external thread provided connection piece, on the screw cap and on the lower closure part in each case Engagement elements are provided which when screwing the screw cap together Intervention come in without significantly hindering the screwing on, in Opening direction by their engagement with the screw cap fully screwed on Prevent unscrewing them, these engaging elements by relative radial movement are disengageable and the engaging elements of the screw cap the outer wall part of the cap are arranged.
- closures or their screw caps have the outer shape of a one end of a closed cylinder with a double cylinder wall, the outer Cylinder wall on which, in the case of the former US Pat. No. 4,149,646, engaging elements are attached, can be pressed in the area of the engagement elements, so that this Engagement elements can be disengaged.
- screw is used in such a way that to indicate the closure of the closure, i.e. the screw cap on that Lower part of the closure or its threaded connector is screwed on.
- screw cap is used in such a way that to indicate the closure of the closure, i.e. the screw cap on that Lower part of the closure or its threaded connector is screwed on.
- open is used in such a way that to indicate the closure of the closure, i.e. the screw cap on that Lower part of the closure or its threaded connector is screwed on.
- the necessity of the indentation is connected among other things with the fact that in the case of GB 2108095 the screw cap must be ovalized in the area of the engagement elements move the engagement elements on the lower part of the closure and on the inside of the screw cap apart to be able to. Because a corresponding deformation in the thread area of the Screw cap is generally not possible, at least not when the screw cap these engagement elements must be screwed firmly and securely onto the threaded connector axially outside the thread on a corresponding axially elongated section the screw cap or provided below the thread on the socket of the lower closure part his.
- the screw cap therefore has a relatively large axial length or height and would accordingly if used on a bellows that cannot be folded in provided closure protrude relatively far above the container surface.
- screw caps For closures or lower closure parts without bellows are therefore often in the past other screw caps have been used that are not as large an axial length or none have such a large axial space requirement. Rather, the screw caps are known Screw locks with child locks, which are used for lower lock parts without bellows are provided, generally in two parts, one with a thread Inner cap is screwed directly onto the threaded connector and this inner cap from is surrounded by an outer cap, which is secured to the inner cap and cannot be removed is, at the same time, however, at least in the opening direction in relation to the inner cap is rotatable.
- Engagement elements are provided between the inner cap and the outer cap, which is a normal unscrewing of the inner cap by power transmission from the outer cap and make it relatively easy and easy to do with the engaging elements while at the same time, however, the engaging elements are designed so that when turning the Outer cap very easily over or over each other in the opening direction and only by targeted axial or radial pressure on the outer cap in Engagement can be held to rotate the inner cap in the opening direction.
- screw locks with child lock that in addition to one only to be applied in the opening direction, tangential to the screw cap or the outer Cap applied force an additional force must be applied, be it in the axial or in the radial direction to open the shutter, i.e. unscrew the cap or inner cap to be able to.
- the two-part screw caps are in the manufacture and Assembly relatively complex and expensive.
- the prior art can be described in that the one-piece Screw caps with securing function either require a relatively large amount of axial space have and therefore necessarily limited to use with bellows closures while the screw caps with child lock function on closures are difficult to handle without foldable bellows, a higher material consumption have and are sometimes also relatively complex and expensive two-part screw caps.
- the object of the present invention is to create a screw lock with child lock, which is easier to manufacture and is cheaper than the well-known screw caps and yet better functionality, especially with regard to the application and transmission of a torque, having.
- the offers on the circumference of the screw cap by the transition from the single-walled step to double-walled area is a good approach to opening or closing Unscrew the screw cap.
- the outer wall of the double-walled section are pressed radially inward to additionally open the To disengage engaging elements between the cap and the lower part of the closure.
- the screw cap according to the invention it is possible to manufacture the cap in one piece, the additional double-walled section in the manufacture and especially in the Assembly caused no excessive effort.
- the outside remains Wall section in this double-walled area from the threaded engagement between the cap and connecting piece of the lower part of the closure is unaffected and is therefore easily radially movable, around the engaging elements on the lower closure part and on this outer wall section disengage.
- the screw cap can be kept axially relatively short and is therefore also easily usable for closures, the lower part of which does not has foldable bellows.
- the double-walled design is on a small peripheral portion of the cap shell limited and is preferably at two diametrically opposite circumferential sections intended.
- the angular range over which the double-walled formation extends extends along the circumference of the cap, is preferably in a range between 30 ° and 90 °, i.e. limited to one twelfth to one quarter of the total circumference of the cap.
- No more material is required than with the known, one-piece screw caps Child lock that had a greater axial length. It can be selected by Wall thicknesses specifically adjust the force that is required to except the engaging elements Bring intervention so that the closure can be opened, regardless of the Design and arrangement of the thread on the inner wall of the jacket of the screw cap.
- the cap has the advantage that if the jacket is only in sections, e.g. in diametral opposite sections that extend over an angular range of e.g. 30 ° to Extend 90 °, is double-walled, in which case the transition from single-walled to the double-walled area generally forms a step on the circumference of the screw cap, which offers a good approach to grasping and screwing or unscrewing the screw cap. Nevertheless, the outer wall of the double-walled section must be radial in the opening direction be pressed inward in addition to the engaging elements between the cap and the lower part of the closure disengage.
- the at least one Engagement element which is provided on the cap, on the end face as an axial projection the outer wall section is arranged. It is understood that several such Engagement elements can be provided, especially if two or more diametrically opposite double wall sections are provided.
- This axial projection can also referred to as cams.
- a corresponding cam or projection or more generally an engaging element is in the preferred embodiment of the invention on one Flange part provided, which is the foot of the threaded connector on the lower closure part surrounds like a ring or wreath.
- This flange part does not necessarily have to be in one Level perpendicular to the axis of the lower part of the closure, but it is sufficient if this flange part has radial surface components and e.g. the shape of the cloak of a Has a truncated cone.
- an embodiment of the invention is preferred in which push the outer wall of the double-walled section radially inwards can, being between the engagement element on the lower closure part and the threaded connector of the lower part of the closure in the radial direction there must be a sufficient internal width must, so that the pressed-in engaging element of the screw cap through this Pass through the gap and thus on the engaging element of the lower closure part can be moved past.
- the radial thickness of the Engagement element of the closure cap is less than the mentioned clear distance between the engaging element on the lower part of the closure and the threaded connector of the lower part of the closure.
- the distance between the outer and inner wall section in the double-walled area of the screw cap must be large enough so that the engaging element are pressed correspondingly radially inwards on the outer wall of the closure cap can.
- an embodiment of the invention is preferred in which at least one Part of the engaging elements, i.e. either the engaging element or the engaging elements, which are provided on the cap or the one or more engagement elements which on the Lower closure part are provided, has a flat inclined surface against the circumferential direction or have, on which the engaging engagement elements of the counterpart hereby when screwing on the cap slide open, while the engagement elements at the same time a to the circumferential direction substantially perpendicular flank, which when trying to Open screw cap without radial movement of the engagement elements, in engagement with each other come and prevent opening.
- the engagement elements on the lower closure part extending in the circumferential direction the engagement elements of the cap has radially outwardly covering and / or leading webs. These webs ensure Unscrew the cap for a clean guide and support the sliding past each other of the engaging elements in this direction and at the same time cover the engaging surfaces in a radial outward direction, which engage with each other when the closure should be opened without moving part of the engaging elements radially.
- the webs in question can also be designed as an annular circumferential collar, which the lower edge of the screw cap or the end face of the outer wall of the Screw cap engages protruding engagement elements.
- flanks on the engagement elements or cams which slide open when screwed on the engaging elements or to facilitate sliding past one another can either apart from their inclination in the circumferential direction, in the radial or also in the axial direction be inclined, the projections radially after screwing in the former case Dodge inside and, in the second case, dodge axially, provided the outer wall section a corresponding axial yield allows.
- Figure 4 the closure in a side view, which consists of a lower part 20 and a screwed cap 1 there.
- the lock is in the same position also in Figure 1, but shown here in axial section.
- the lower closure part 20 consists of an approximately U-shaped closure foot in cross section 25 with legs 23, 26 of different lengths and one essentially radially extending flange part 4, and one on the locking foot 25 on the radially inner End of the flange 4 attaching threaded connector 21 with an external thread 22nd this external thread 22 is screwed on a screw cap 1.
- the screw cap 1 consists of a cap base 13 and the cap jacket 10 with an internal thread 2.
- FIG. 1 Further parts of the lower closure part 20 that can be seen in FIG. 1 are a guarantee seal 24 with a tear-off bracket 17.
- the inner U-leg 23 of the locking foot 25 is on his Provided on the outside with a locking projection behind a hole edge of a container opening locked, with bevels below this protrusion snapping this Lighten thighs.
- the leg is below this projection with recesses provided a complete pouring of liquid from the concerned To facilitate containers.
- the axis of the closure is designated 16.
- FIG 2 is a plan view of the closure shown in Figures 1 and 4 of reproduced above, whereby here essentially only the contours of the cap and recognizes the outer edge of the underlying locking foot 20 is at the same time the position of the section shown in Figure 1 is also shown.
- Figure 3 is the Closure in the same position as in Figure 2, but in a lower cutting plane shown in which the double-walled design of the screw cap 1 along recognizes two diametrically opposite wall sections.
- the outer walls jump in the double-walled areas radially outwards and are also with a Provide corrugation, which should improve the grip of the cap.
- the outer wall sections in the double-walled areas easily in between the inner wall section and outer wall section area left indented, even if the screw cap with its internal thread 2 on an external thread 22 of a corresponding threaded connector 21 is screwed on.
- Figure 5 is again a section of a horizontal section through the closure reproduced, the section plane immediately above that on the flange part 4 arranged cam 5 and by the beginning at the lower edge of the outer wall 12 Cam 3 runs through.
- the lateral contour of the cam 3 is, as already mentioned, dashed in Figure 4 specified.
- the two Cam 3, 5 two parallel and perpendicular to the circumferential direction engaging surfaces 8 or 8 '. These two surfaces hit in the opening direction of the screw cap 8, 8 'to each other and thus prevent the screw cap 1 from rotating relative to the lower part of the closure 20, with which the cam 5 is integrally connected, during the cam 3 is integrally connected to the screw cap 1.
- the double-walled Area of the screw cap 1 in the center of which the cam surface 8 is approximately, radially pressed inwards, which can easily be imagined on the basis of FIG.

Description
The present invention relates to a screw lock with child safety, with a Screw cap with an internal thread and a lower part with one with an external thread provided connection piece, on the screw cap and on the lower closure part in each case Engagement elements are provided which when screwing the screw cap together Intervention come in without significantly hindering the screwing on, in Opening direction by their engagement with the screw cap fully screwed on Prevent unscrewing them, these engaging elements by relative radial movement are disengageable and the engaging elements of the screw cap the outer wall part of the cap are arranged.
Such a screw cap is known from US Pat. No. 4,149,646.
Another screw cap with a double-walled jacket is known from US Pat. No. 4,752,014 known. With this screw cap, the outer jacket is the double-walled cap interrupted at one point and there has a push-in tab through which Pressing the engagement elements of the cap attached to the tab out of engagement with suitable ones Counterparts can be brought to the neck of the container.
The aforementioned closures or their screw caps have the outer shape of a one end of a closed cylinder with a double cylinder wall, the outer Cylinder wall on which, in the case of the former US Pat. No. 4,149,646, engaging elements are attached, can be pressed in the area of the engagement elements, so that this Engagement elements can be disengaged.
However, it is relatively difficult to use such a screw cap with a relatively compliant and in the remaining cylindrical outer cap wall sufficient torque to Open and close a container.
This also applies essentially to the closure known from US Pat. No. 4,752,014, which is the has an additional disadvantage that a corresponding cap, in which at the outer wall provided a tab separate from the wall and the end wall is, which in turn is hinged to the inner cap wall, only is extremely difficult and expensive to manufacture and causes correspondingly high costs.
In addition, the material consumption is relatively high in both known closures, since the cap is double-walled throughout, apparently in the case of US Pat. No. 4,149,646 for the purpose of sufficient radial mobility of the attached to the outer wall part To ensure engaging elements.
In general, with the known closures, opening or unscrewing the Lower part of the cap screwed on only possible if next to a essential tangential force in the opening direction an additional radial force engages the screw cap or the lower part of the closure in the area of the engagement elements, and thereby at least one of the engaging engagement elements radially so far is moved that the two engagement elements come out of engagement, so that unscrewing the cap is enabled. Such closures are also from other documents, e.g. from DE-A-42 09 784 and from GB-A-2,108,095, have been known for a long time.
In the context of the present application, the term "screwing" is used in such a way that to indicate the closure of the closure, i.e. the screw cap on that Lower part of the closure or its threaded connector is screwed on. For the reverse In contrast, the terms "open", "unscrew" or "unscrew" in the process used essentially synonymously.
The latter two publications each deal with bellows closures, at which of the threaded connector of the lower closure part via a bellows that can be put in and taken out is connected to a closure foot attached to the container and this threaded connector slipped into the locking foot together with the screwed-on threaded cap can be and only with an upper ring bracket or the like on the level of Closure opening or protrudes over the closure foot.
The necessity of the indentation is connected among other things with the fact that in the case of GB 2108095 the screw cap must be ovalized in the area of the engagement elements move the engagement elements on the lower part of the closure and on the inside of the screw cap apart to be able to. The screw cap therefore has a relatively large axial length or height and would accordingly if used on a bellows that cannot be folded in provided closure protrude relatively far above the container surface. This still applies in stronger measure for the closure according to DE 42 09 784, which is also below the edge of the screw cap on the lower part of the closure requires enough space to the lower part of the closure squeeze in this area and thus disengage the engaging elements To be able to get involved. This is practically only with a lower part provided with bellows possible, which is also sufficiently flexible due to the bellows to suit to be able to be squeezed together.
For closures or lower closure parts without bellows are therefore often in the past other screw caps have been used that are not as large an axial length or none have such a large axial space requirement. Engagement elements are provided between the inner cap and the outer cap, which is a normal unscrewing of the inner cap by power transmission from the outer cap and make it relatively easy and easy to do with the engaging elements while at the same time, however, the engaging elements are designed so that when turning the Outer cap very easily over or over each other in the opening direction and only by targeted axial or radial pressure on the outer cap in Engagement can be held to rotate the inner cap in the opening direction. In general, it is necessary for screw locks with child lock that in addition to one only to be applied in the opening direction, tangential to the screw cap or the outer Cap applied force an additional force must be applied, be it in the axial or in the radial direction to open the shutter, i.e. unscrew the cap or inner cap to be able to. The two-part screw caps are in the manufacture and Assembly relatively complex and expensive.
In general, it is assumed with such screw closures that at least small children or preschoolers who may be ignorant of the contents of a container could injure or poison outgoing dangers with this content, not in the Are able to coordinate the various power components, even if they are are otherwise able to open simple screw caps.
In summary, the prior art can be described in that the one-piece Screw caps with securing function either require a relatively large amount of axial space have and therefore necessarily limited to use with bellows closures while the screw caps with child lock function on closures are difficult to handle without foldable bellows, a higher material consumption have and are sometimes also relatively complex and expensive two-part screw caps.
Compared to this prior art, the object of the present invention is to create a screw lock with child lock, which is easier to manufacture and is cheaper than the well-known screw caps and yet better functionality, especially with regard to the application and transmission of a torque, having.
This object is achieved in that the jacket of the screw cap only along at least of a peripheral portion is double-walled, the transition from single-walled to the double-walled area of the screw cap one step on the circumference of the screw cap forms, in addition, the engagement elements of the screw cap on the outer wall part of the double-walled peripheral portion of the cap are arranged.
Advantageously, the offers on the circumference of the screw cap by the transition from the single-walled step to double-walled area is a good approach to opening or closing Unscrew the screw cap. At the same time, the outer wall of the double-walled section are pressed radially inward to additionally open the To disengage engaging elements between the cap and the lower part of the closure.
With the screw cap according to the invention, it is possible to manufacture the cap in one piece, the additional double-walled section in the manufacture and especially in the Assembly caused no excessive effort. At the same time, however, the outside remains Wall section in this double-walled area from the threaded engagement between the cap and connecting piece of the lower part of the closure is unaffected and is therefore easily radially movable, around the engaging elements on the lower closure part and on this outer wall section disengage. The screw cap can be kept axially relatively short and is therefore also easily usable for closures, the lower part of which does not has foldable bellows.
The double-walled design is on a small peripheral portion of the cap shell limited and is preferably at two diametrically opposite circumferential sections intended. The angular range over which the double-walled formation extends extends along the circumference of the cap, is preferably in a range between 30 ° and 90 °, i.e. limited to one twelfth to one quarter of the total circumference of the cap. No more material is required than with the known, one-piece screw caps Child lock that had a greater axial length. It can be selected by Wall thicknesses specifically adjust the force that is required to except the engaging elements Bring intervention so that the closure can be opened, regardless of the Design and arrangement of the thread on the inner wall of the jacket of the screw cap.
The cap has the advantage that if the jacket is only in sections, e.g. in diametral opposite sections that extend over an angular range of e.g.
In the preferred embodiment of the invention it is provided that the at least one Engagement element, which is provided on the cap, on the end face as an axial projection the outer wall section is arranged. It is understood that several such Engagement elements can be provided, especially if two or more diametrically opposite double wall sections are provided. This axial projection can also referred to as cams. A corresponding cam or projection or more generally an engaging element is in the preferred embodiment of the invention on one Flange part provided, which is the foot of the threaded connector on the lower closure part surrounds like a ring or wreath. This flange part does not necessarily have to be in one Level perpendicular to the axis of the lower part of the closure, but it is sufficient if this flange part has radial surface components and e.g. the shape of the cloak of a Has a truncated cone.
In principle, it would be conceivable for the outer wall of a double-walled section of the Compress the screw cap from the ends so that the engagement element on the Outer wall of the cap radially outward and so out of engagement with the engaging element of the Moving the lower part, especially when the double wall section over extends a large angular range or as a completely circumferential outer wall section can be ovalized. However, an embodiment of the invention is preferred in which push the outer wall of the double-walled section radially inwards can, being between the engagement element on the lower closure part and the threaded connector of the lower part of the closure in the radial direction there must be a sufficient internal width must, so that the pressed-in engaging element of the screw cap through this Pass through the gap and thus on the engaging element of the lower closure part can be moved past. Of course, this assumes that the radial thickness of the Engagement element of the closure cap is less than the mentioned clear distance between the engaging element on the lower part of the closure and the threaded connector of the lower part of the closure. In addition, the distance between the outer and inner wall section in the double-walled area of the screw cap must be large enough so that the engaging element are pressed correspondingly radially inwards on the outer wall of the closure cap can.
Furthermore, an embodiment of the invention is preferred in which at least one Part of the engaging elements, i.e. either the engaging element or the engaging elements, which are provided on the cap or the one or more engagement elements which on the Lower closure part are provided, has a flat inclined surface against the circumferential direction or have, on which the engaging engagement elements of the counterpart hereby when screwing on the cap slide open, while the engagement elements at the same time a to the circumferential direction substantially perpendicular flank, which when trying to Open screw cap without radial movement of the engagement elements, in engagement with each other come and prevent opening.
Furthermore, an embodiment of the invention is preferred, in which the engagement elements on the lower closure part extending in the circumferential direction, the engagement elements of the cap has radially outwardly covering and / or leading webs. These webs ensure Unscrew the cap for a clean guide and support the sliding past each other of the engaging elements in this direction and at the same time cover the engaging surfaces in a radial outward direction, which engage with each other when the closure should be opened without moving part of the engaging elements radially.
The webs in question can also be designed as an annular circumferential collar, which the lower edge of the screw cap or the end face of the outer wall of the Screw cap engages protruding engagement elements.
The flanks on the engagement elements or cams, which slide open when screwed on the engaging elements or to facilitate sliding past one another can either apart from their inclination in the circumferential direction, in the radial or also in the axial direction be inclined, the projections radially after screwing in the former case Dodge inside and, in the second case, dodge axially, provided the outer wall section a corresponding axial yield allows.
