Abstract

The wedge-shaped plastic granulate blank (1) has a part (2) with flat parallel faces and a wedge-shaped end part (3) on one side. A groove-shaped profiled incision (4) separates the wedge-shaped end part and part of the flat section. The surface (5) of the flat section next to the wedge-shaped end part is perforated. The surface (8) of the blank facing the perforated surface is also perforated. The surface (5) of the flat section and of the blank has oblique-angled grooves (6) and ridges (7).

Description

  • The invention relates to a device for height compensation of components.
  • When forming roof trusses from wooden components, there is the problem that the wooden structural elements can warp due to drying processes. This has the consequence that in order to achieve a perfect roof structure, a height adjustment of the roof battens on the rafters is usually required. For this purpose, it is known to provide plywood panels or pieces of board for underlaying roof battens. Placing pieces of board or plywood under them is very time-consuming, as they have to be made in individual cases. Wooden wedges are also used, but they have the disadvantage that they can only be guided past the roof batten nail on one side and therefore predominantly cause the respective roof batten to twist. Similar problems exist when building buildings using drywall. When using old buildings as well as new buildings, when using drywall, it is necessary to level the floors, walls, ceilings and prefabricated built-in elements such as windows and doors in order to compensate for inaccuracies in the body-in-white. When installing curtain walls, it is often necessary to support the components at critical points in order to align the substructure.
  • The object of the invention is to provide a device of the type mentioned, which is to be prefabricated and by means of which a height adjustment of components can be carried out easily.
  • According to the invention, the object is achieved by a blank made of plastic, wood or the like, which consists of a plane-parallel flat section with a wedge-shaped end section formed on one side exists, wherein a groove-shaped opening separating the wedge-shaped end section and part of the flat section is formed in the blank. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are described in the dependent claims.
  • According to the invention, prefabricated wedge-shaped elements are used for height compensation of components such as roof battens, which can be delivered to the construction site in kit form.   • The device according to the invention consists of a blank 1 which has a plane-parallel flat section 2, on which a wedge-shaped end section 3 is formed on one side. In the blank 1, a groove-shaped opening 4 is formed which separates the wedge-shaped end section 3 and part of the flat section 2. The surface 5 of the section 2 adjoining the wedge-shaped end section 3 is perforated. The perforation preferably consists of grooves 6 and webs 7, which are arranged at an oblique angle to one another in a herringbone manner.
  • The groove-shaped opening 4 makes it possible to enclose, for example, a roof batten nail with the device in a non-slip manner. The perforation of the surface 5 is preferably designed so that two Blanks 1 can be placed one above the other and are in engagement with each other. It is also possible to provide a perforation on the other surface 8 of the blank 1. In this case, more than two blanks 1 can also be placed one above the other and releasably but firmly connected to one another. As a result, even larger differences in height can be compensated for in a simple manner.
  • The blanks 1 can be formed in different lengths and thicknesses, it being expedient to assign a particular color to each dimension of the blank for better visual differentiation. Due to the kit-like design of the blanks, these can be easily transported in magazine belts so that they are always at hand when building the roof. This results in a significant increase in performance in the leveling work on roof battens. It is advantageous to produce the blanks 1 from plastic granules, so that shrinkage or swelling is prevented. Such blanks 1 can be made from recycled plastic, with only a certain impact hardness and frost resistance having to be guaranteed.
  • The blanks 1 can be not only rectangular, but also square, oval or circular. It is advantageous to design the groove-shaped opening 4 in a profiled manner in order to prevent the device from slipping out of a screw connection or nail connection.
  • For this purpose, an extension 9 can be formed on the inside end section 10 of the opening 4, which is, for example, circular (FIG. 3). It is also possible to profile the opening 4 so that 4 recesses on the side walls 11, 12 of the opening 13 are formed, as indicated by dashed lines in FIG. 3. It is also possible to design the side walls 11, 12 of the openings 4 in a wedge shape with a distance that decreases from the opening section 14 (FIG. 4). In a further embodiment, outwardly curved surface sections 15 can be formed on the side walls 11, 12 of the opening 4. These surface sections 15 can be arranged so that they are opposite each other (Fig. 5). These surface sections 15 can also be designed such that they lie against one another (FIG. 6). According to a further embodiment, wedge-shaped projections 16 can also be formed on the side walls 11, 12 of the opening 4, which projections 16 are arranged offset from one another (FIG. 7). It is also possible to profile the opening 4 in that barbs 17 are formed on the side walls 11, 12 (FIG. 8).

Claims (18)

  1. Device for leveling components from a blank made of plastic, wood or the like, which is designed as a wedge, characterized in that the blank (1) consists of a plane-parallel flat section (2) with a wedge-shaped end section (3) formed on one side and that a groove-shaped opening (4) separating the wedge-shaped end section (3) and part of the flat section (2) is formed in the blank (1).
  2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the surface (5) of the section (2) adjoining the wedge-shaped end section (3) is perforated.
  3. Device according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the surface (8) of the blank (1) opposite the surface (5) is perforated.
  4. Device according to claim 2, characterized in that grooves (6) and webs (7) are formed in the surface (5) of the section (2).
  5. Device according to claim 3, characterized in that grooves (6) and webs (7) are formed in the surface (8) of the blank (1).
  6. Apparatus according to claim 4 and 5, characterized in that the grooves (6) and webs (7) are arranged at an oblique angle to one another.
  7. Device according to claims 1 to 6, characterized in that that the blank (1) consists of plastic granules.
  8. Apparatus according to claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the blank (1) is rectangular, square, oval or circular in plan view.
  9. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the groove-shaped opening (4) is profiled.
  10. Device according to Claim 9, characterized in that an extension (9) is formed on the inside end section (10) of the opening (4).
  11. Apparatus according to claim 10, characterized in that the extension (9) is circular.
  12. Apparatus according to claim 9, characterized in that a recess (13) is formed in the opening (4) in the side walls (11, 12) thereof.
  13. Apparatus according to claim 9, characterized in that the side walls (11, 12) of the opening (4) are wedge-shaped with a distance which decreases from the opening section (14).
  14. Device according to Claim 9, characterized in that surface sections (15) which are curved outwards are formed on the side walls (11, 12) of the opening (4).
  15. Device according to claim 14, characterized in that the outwardly curved surface sections (15) are arranged opposite one another.
  16. Device according to claims 14 and 15, characterized in that the outwardly curved surface sections (15) abut one another.
  17. Device according to claim 9, characterized in that wedge-shaped projections (16) are formed on the side walls (11, 12) of the opening (4).
  18. Device according to claim 9, characterized in that barbs (17) are formed on the side walls (11, 12) of the opening (4).
