Definitions
- the invention relates to a method and an arrangement according to the corresponding patent claims for packaging continuously conveyed printed products, such as newspapers, magazines or brochures, one printed product or a small number of printed products each being packed.
- banderole which banderole is usually narrower than the printed product, but also the same It can be as wide as the printed product in that it is usually covered on all sides with a film, for example by welding, or in that it is inserted in envelopes.
- Different packaging methods differ in the type of packaging that can be realized with them, and thus in the effective protection that the packaging offers the printed product, and in the complexity of the method, whereby a package that offers more protection can usually be realized with a more complex method.
- the invention therefore makes it its task to demonstrate a packaging method for individual printed products or small groups of printed products with which a multiplicity of different packages can be implemented and which can be carried out directly on a high-performance stream without separating the products, that is to say in one stream, in where the products are mostly transported transversely to their edges and at distances that are significantly shorter than their edge lengths. It is also the object of the invention to provide an arrangement for carrying out the method, which arrangement should have as many components already known from the further processing of printed products as possible and which is designed such that it can be easily adapted to different variants of the packaging method.
- the basic idea of the method according to the invention is to adapt the insertion method as a packaging method.
- a bent or pre-folded packaging element is inserted with the bow or fold first into an essentially V-shaped, continuously conveyed insertion compartment.
- the packaging element In its bent or folded state, the packaging element is usually at least larger in one direction than the printed product to be packaged.
- the packaging element is opened (the two V-shaped parts separated from each other) and the product to be packaged is "inserted" into the bent or prefolded packaging element.
- the packaging element is then at least partially closed, while it is still in the insertion compartment, for example by placing parts of the packaging element which protrude beyond the product to be packaged around its edge and, for example, gluing them to the opposite side.
- the printed product at least partially enclosed by the packaging element is removed from the insertion compartment.
- a plurality of printed products can be inserted into a packaging element with one another or in succession and packaged in the manner described as a group of printed products.
- Figure 1 illustrates for explaining the inventive method and the inventive arrangement, very schematically a packaging drum 1 is, as described for example in German Pat. No. 2,447,336 or the corresponding U.S. Pat. No. 3,951,399 (F69) is described in a function as insertion drum.
- the packaging method according to the invention can be carried out with such a drum, which is adapted to the packaging drum in a manner to be described.
- the packaging drum is driven to rotate about its axis of rotation (arrow B).
- a plurality of insertion compartments 10 which extend in the axial direction of the drum, that is to say transversely to its direction of movement B, and which are equipped with transport means for the transport (arrow A) of a compartment content in the axial direction.
- the insertion compartments have means for carrying out individual method steps and / or such means are arranged in the region of the drum circumference in such a way that the insertion compartments are moved past one after the other by the rotation of the drum.
- the plug-in compartments also contain holding means with which a compartment content is held in the compartment at least on the lower side of the drum.
- Transport means for transporting a compartment content are described, for example, in patent publication CH-575303 (or US-4058202, F76).
- folded or at least curved packaging elements 3 are fed to the drum in a continuous flow (arrow C), for example a high-performance current, in such a way that a packaging element is placed in each plug-in compartment, specifically with ahead of the fold or arch such that it comes to rest against the bottom of the V-shaped compartment.
- a continuous flow for example a high-performance current
- the packaging elements placed in the insertion compartments are now moved in the axial direction on the one hand by the rotation of the drum and on the other hand by the transport means in the compartments, which results in a spiral path of movement.
- this movement path can have a continuous or advantageously a stepped, spiral shape. While the packaging elements pass through this spiral path, they are first opened or at least brought into a defined, open position, then at least one printed product 4 to be packaged is fed to each compartment or each open packaging element (high-power current, arrow D) and inserted into the packaging element.
- Devices can be used, for example, for feeding (arrows C, D) the packaging elements 3 and the printed products 4 into the drum and for removing (arrow E) the packaged products 5 from the drum, as described in the patent publications CH-668244 ( or US-4801132, F200), EP-481914 (or US-5169139, F303), EP-341423 (or US-4981291, F262) or DE-2447336 (or US-3951399, F69) by the same applicant are.
- FIG. 2 shows a rotating packaging system 2 with which the method according to the invention can also be carried out.
- Circulation systems of this type in the function of plug-in systems are described, for example, in patent publications CH-669944 (or US-4743005, F209) or EP-0346578 (or US-5104108, F265).
- V-shaped insertion compartments 20 are used, which are moved continuously on a self-contained transport path, for example, as shown, connected to form a self-contained compartment chain and deflected around two deflection rollers.
- the compartments are arranged transversely to their direction of transport (arrow B).
- the compartments of the circulating packaging system can be significantly wider than the objects to be processed and are then provided with internal transport means for moving (perpendicular to the paper plane) the objects in the compartments and transversely to the conveying direction of the insertion compartments (arrow B) .
- Such means of transport can also be absent, that is, the packaging elements and the printed products to be packaged then have an essentially constant position in the compartments and the means for carrying out individual process steps are advantageously arranged outside the compartments and carry out a clocked transport of the compartments synchronized function.
- Means for carrying out method steps that require a longer time to carry out their function can also be present in a plurality and can be moved along a certain section with a particular compartment and then moved back.
- the description of the method according to the invention in connection with the packaging drum can also be applied analogously to the rotating packaging system.
- the arrows B, C and D thus also denote the transport direction (B) of the insertion compartments during the implementation of the packaging process, the feeding (C) of the packaging elements 3, the feeding (D) of the printed products 4 to be packaged and the removal (E) of the packaged Products 5.
- Transporting the packaging elements and printed products in the insertion compartments (corresponding to arrow A in FIG. 1) is not shown, but is possible in both directions transverse to the direction of transport B.
- the arrow F denotes the return path through which the insertion compartments empty to the point of Packaging element feed can be returned.
- FIGS. 3 to 8 show different, exemplary variants of the packaging method according to the invention. Only one packaging element 3 and one print product 4 to be packed are shown in successive stages of the packaging process and as a finished packaging product 5. Furthermore, packaging products that can be produced are also shown in other similar process variants.
- Figure 3 shows a first exemplary process variant.
- a printed product 4.1 for example a brochure
- a packaging element 3.1 that is essentially the same width, which packaging element has a pre-fold, that is, the packaging element 3.1 is folded (or bent) in such a way that its two folding parts do not cross the fold have the same extent.
- the shorter part is as long as or shorter than the product 4.1 to be packaged, while the longer part is longer than the shorter part by more than the thickness of the product to be packaged.
- the packaging element 3.1 and the inserted printed product 4.1 are advantageously aligned laterally with respect to one another and then the part of the packaging element projecting beyond the inserted product is placed around the corresponding edge of the inserted printed product and pressed on the other side, for example after application of adhesive for the closure.
- the adhesive can also be applied to the packaging element beforehand, for example before the packaging elements are fed to the packaging arrangement. If the packaging element 3.1 consists of an adhesive film, it is sufficient to press it together to close it.
- a packaging product 5.1 is created in which the packaging element covers the main areas of the printed product, but which is open on the sides.
- the process variant according to FIG. 3 can be varied further as follows: the packaging element is narrower than the printed product to be packed and surrounds it in the finished packaging as a banderole (packaging product 5.2); the print product to be packaged is inserted with the flower first into the packaging element (packaging product 5.3) or in such a way that the folded back is positioned transversely to the fold of the packaging element; several printed products, advantageously of the same size, are inserted into the packaging element with one another or one after the other (packaging product 5.4).
- FIG. 4 shows a further exemplary method variant.
- the packaging element 3.5 is wider than the printed product 4.5 to be packed.
- the process is the same as the process according to FIG. 3 (without lateral alignment of the packaging element and printed product after insertion), but this is followed by a step for laterally closing the packaging element projecting laterally beyond the product to be packaged.
- This step can consist of activating adhesive that has already been applied to the packaging element beforehand, and then pressing the parts together (packaging product 5.5).
- the lateral closure of the packaging element can also be realized by deforming the lateral edge area of the packaging element, as a result of which a suitable packaging material is pressed together in such a way that a sufficient closure is formed even without adhesive (packaging product 5.6).
- FIG. 5 shows a further, exemplary method variant in which the packaging element 3.7, which is folded or bent in the middle (no pre-fold), projects beyond the product 4.7 to be packed, both parallel to its fold and transversely thereto.
- adhesive areas applied to the edge areas are activated beforehand if necessary and the edge areas are pressed together (packaging product 5.7). Adhesive can also be applied to the edge areas of the packaging element in the insertion compartments. An edge deformation process can also be used here (packaging product 5.8).
- FIG. 6 shows a further exemplary process variant.
- the packaging element 3.9 used essentially corresponds to a double page of the product 4.9 to be packed. This is inserted with the flower in front into the packaging element and the packaging element can be peeled off Adhesive points 60 in the areas of the folded back of the product to be packaged attached to its main surfaces. This creates a packaging product 5.9, the packaging element of which is not closed in itself, but rather by being fastened to the product to be packaged.
- FIG. 7 shows a further exemplary process variant.
- a packaging element 3.10 is used, which is not only pre-folded or at least bent, but which is prepared by further preparation steps.
- the packaging element arises from a sheet 70 which is folded on all sides larger than or the same size as the product to be packaged 4.10 in a not yet trimmed state. Two corners are cut off on this arch (71) and then folded in (72). The sheet is then folded or bent in the middle and used in this way as packaging element 3.10.
- the printed product 4.10 is, for example, inserted into the packaging element 3.10 with the folding back first, and both are trimmed together, for example laterally and in the region of the flower of the printed product (73).
- the folded corners of the packaging element are folded out (74) and the parts of the packaging element that protrude beyond the product to be packaged are placed around the edges thereof and, for example, glued to the opposite side.
- FIG. 8 shows a further exemplary method variant.
- a packaging element 3.11 is fed in here, which has already been stapled with the printed product that is not yet trimmed and is to be packaged.
- the production of such a printed product with attached packaging element in a collection process is described, for example, in the patent specification CH-540816 (Grapha Holding).
- the packaging element 3.11 has at least on one side a pre-fold 80 folded inwards.
- the packaging element 3.11 is dimensioned and folded in such a way that the folded edge of the folded pre-fold 80 would not protrude beyond the printed product even in its trimmed state.
- the printed product with the attached packaging element is trimmed in the insertion compartment at least parallel to the fold of the packaging element, so that the folded pre-fold 80 is not touched.
- the pre-fold 80 is then unfolded, placed around the flower of the printed product and pressed on the opposite side.
- the result is a packaging product 5.11, which is very similar to packaging product 5.1 (FIG. 3), but in which the printed product is held by means of the stapling.
- a packaging element 3.10 (according to FIG. 7) can also be stitched and further processed with a printed product.
- the printed product with the attached packaging element could of course also be fed to the method according to the invention in an already trimmed state.
- One or more other printed products can also be inserted into the printed product stapled with a packaging element, namely between the packaging element and the stapled printed product or between the sides of the printed product.
- FIGS. 3 to 8 can, as already partially indicated, be combined in many ways and modified in an obvious manner in such a way that a whole series of further packaging products can be produced.
- FIGS. 9 to 14 show exemplary embodiments of means for carrying out process steps on the packaging elements and / or printed products located in the insertion compartments.
- a packaging drum Figure 1
- a revolving Packaging system Figure 2
- it must be provided with means for opening the packaging element, with means for laterally aligning the packaging element and the product to be packaged, with means for trimming the packaging element and the printed product , with means for unfolding folded parts of the packaging element, with means for applying adhesive to the packaging element or printed product, with means for compressing or deforming edge regions of the packaging element, with means for folding the packaging element around edges of the product to be packaged and with means for pressing be equipped or equipped with parts of the packaging element.
- the means for performing the process steps listed above can be arranged on the plug-in compartments. They can be quasi stationary and the internal means of transport can guide the packaging elements and / or the printed products to be packed into their area for interaction, or they can act on the packaging elements and / or printed products stationary in the compartments through their own movement.
- the means for carrying out the method steps can also be arranged in a stationary manner outside the insertion compartments in such a way that they can interact with the packaging elements and / or printed products guided into their area by the movement of the insertion compartments.
- Means for opening the packaging element in the insertion compartment of a packaging drum or for the defined positioning of the already open packaging element in the insertion compartment of a packaging drum are known, for example, from the already mentioned patent publication DE-2447336 (or US-3951399, F69).
- DE-2447336 or US-3951399, F69.
- Further means of opening are described in the patent publications CH-644814 (or US-4398710, F111) or CH-644815 (or US-4420146, F112).
- FIG. 9 schematically shows an example of a means for unfolding a folded-in part of the packaging element aligned parallel to the folded edge in an insertion compartment with internal transport means (not shown), for example in a packaging drum. Only one wall 90 of the plug-in compartment is shown. The rotation of the drum and the movement of the compartment contents are indicated by arrows B and A.
- the packaging element 3 with the folded-in part 91 is moved past an unfolding lug 92 in its open state during its movement in the plug-in compartment (arrow A) in such a way that it engages between the folded-in part 91 and the rest of the packaging element and unfolds the folded-in part.
- a folding sword must be provided for a corresponding folding part leading in direction A, similar to that shown in FIG. 10.
- FIG. 10 shows an example of means for unfolding the folded parts of a packaging element 3 in a plug-in compartment without internal means of transport. Only one wall 100 of the plug-in compartment is shown.
- the conveying direction B of the insertion compartment is directed perpendicular to the paper plane.
- Rotating folding swords 101 and 102 are arranged in a fixed position to the side of the insertion compartment (100) and are synchronized with the movement of the insertion compartments in such a way that they reach under the folded-in parts 103 and 104 of the packaging element 3 and unfold them.
- Unfolding swords as shown in FIG. 10, can also be provided in each insertion compartment (without internal means of transport). They are then activated accordingly in a certain area of the transport route (B) of the compartments.
- FIG. 11 shows very schematically an example of a means for applying adhesive to the packaging element 3. It is a spray unit 110 which is arranged in a stationary manner outside of plug-in compartments 111. Depending on the orientation of the spray unit 110, parts of the packaging element 3, which protrude beyond the printed product 4 to be packaged, or the printed product 4 itself can be provided with adhesive.
- FIG. 12 shows an exemplary embodiment of means for compressing or deforming edge regions of the packaging element (for the method see FIGS. 4 and 5).
- This is a pair of rollers 121 pressed against one another, which is arranged on the insertion compartment (only one wall 120 of which is shown) and between which the edge region of the packaging element 3 is carried out during its transport in the insertion compartment (arrow A). If the edge area is to be deformed at the same time, interlocking toothed rollers are used instead of rollers.
- appropriately structured, mutually movable clamping jaws can be used.
- Figures 13 and 14 show exemplary embodiments of means for folding parts of the packaging element around edges of the product to be packaged and for pressing these parts on the opposite side.
- the packaging element when transported in the insertion compartment (arrow A), the pre-fold 130 of the packaging element 3 is guided through a folding nose 131 and then pressed against the packaged printed product by means of a press roller 132.
- This product can be used in plug-in compartments with internal transport means for transporting the products in direction A.
- the packaging element 3 and the printed product 4 to be packaged are held in the insertion compartment in such a way that the pre-fold 130 of the packaging element protrudes therefrom.
- the pre-fold is then guided past a folding template 140 by the movement of the insertion compartment in direction B, such that the pre-fold is placed around the corresponding edge of the printed product to be packaged.
- the pre-fold is then pressed against the packaged printed product with the aid of an appropriately arranged star roller 141 driven in synchronization with the movement of the insertion compartments.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method and an arrangement according to the corresponding patent claims for packaging continuously conveyed printed products, such as newspapers, magazines or brochures, one printed product or a small number of printed products each being packed.
Individual printed products or several printed products, for example small groups of printed products, are packed according to the prior art, for example for dispatch, by wrapping them in a more or less continuous process with a banderole, which banderole is usually narrower than the printed product, but also the same It can be as wide as the printed product in that it is usually covered on all sides with a film, for example by welding, or in that it is inserted in envelopes. Different packaging methods differ in the type of packaging that can be realized with them, and thus in the effective protection that the packaging offers the printed product, and in the complexity of the method, whereby a package that offers more protection can usually be realized with a more complex method.
It is common to all known methods that at least for partial steps thereof the products have to be separated, in some cases even stopped, that is to say that the printed products have to be supplied to these partial steps in a stream in which they are transported, for example, parallel to an edge pair and the distance between corresponding edges transverse to the conveying direction of two adjacent products is at least as large as the extent of the products in the conveying direction. With such flows, outputs in the range of 8,000 to 12,000 copies per hour are possible, but never the high performance required today of up to 40,000 copies per hour. In order to be able to achieve such a high level of performance with the known methods, they would have to be carried out in parallel in a multiplicity, which would be associated with a correspondingly large outlay on equipment.
The invention therefore makes it its task to demonstrate a packaging method for individual printed products or small groups of printed products with which a multiplicity of different packages can be implemented and which can be carried out directly on a high-performance stream without separating the products, that is to say in one stream, in where the products are mostly transported transversely to their edges and at distances that are significantly shorter than their edge lengths. It is also the object of the invention to provide an arrangement for carrying out the method, which arrangement should have as many components already known from the further processing of printed products as possible and which is designed such that it can be easily adapted to different variants of the packaging method.
This object is achieved by the packaging method and the arrangement for carrying out the method as defined in the corresponding patent claims.
The basic idea of the method according to the invention is to adapt the insertion method as a packaging method. For this purpose, a bent or pre-folded packaging element is inserted with the bow or fold first into an essentially V-shaped, continuously conveyed insertion compartment. In its bent or folded state, the packaging element is usually at least larger in one direction than the printed product to be packaged. Then the packaging element is opened (the two V-shaped parts separated from each other) and the product to be packaged is "inserted" into the bent or prefolded packaging element. The packaging element is then at least partially closed, while it is still in the insertion compartment, for example by placing parts of the packaging element which protrude beyond the product to be packaged around its edge and, for example, gluing them to the opposite side. Then the printed product at least partially enclosed by the packaging element is removed from the insertion compartment. In the same way, a plurality of printed products can be inserted into a packaging element with one another or in succession and packaged in the manner described as a group of printed products.

Figure 1 illustrates for explaining the inventive method and the inventive arrangement, very schematically a packaging drum 1 is, as described for example in German Pat. No. 2,447,336 or the corresponding U.S. Pat. No. 3,951,399 (F69) is described in a function as insertion drum. The packaging method according to the invention can be carried out with such a drum, which is adapted to the packaging drum in a manner to be described.
US-4058202, F76).The packaging drum is driven to rotate about its axis of rotation (arrow B). Around its circumference, it has a plurality of
In the entrance area of the drum (beginning of arrow A, left in the figure), folded or at least
The packaging elements placed in the insertion compartments are now moved in the axial direction on the one hand by the rotation of the drum and on the other hand by the transport means in the compartments, which results in a spiral path of movement. Depending on the function of the internal transport means, this movement path can have a continuous or advantageously a stepped, spiral shape. While the packaging elements pass through this spiral path, they are first opened or at least brought into a defined, open position, then at least one printed product 4 to be packaged is fed to each compartment or each open packaging element (high-power current, arrow D) and inserted into the packaging element. In the course of the spiral further transport, depending on the process variant and equipment of the drum, further process steps of the packaging process are carried out, but at least one step in which the packaging element is sealed, and in the exit area of the drum (end of arrow A, right in the figure) packaged printed
Further process steps that can be carried out with the means already mentioned on the
US-4801132, F200), EP-481914 (bzw. US-5169139, F303), EP-341423 (bzw. US-4981291, F262) oder DE-2447336 (bzw. US-3951399, F69) derselben Anmelderin beschrieben sind.Devices can be used, for example, for feeding (arrows C, D) the
FIG. 2 shows a
The description of the method according to the invention in connection with the packaging drum can also be applied analogously to the rotating packaging system. The arrows B, C and D thus also denote the transport direction (B) of the insertion compartments during the implementation of the packaging process, the feeding (C) of the
FIGS. 3 to 8 show different, exemplary variants of the packaging method according to the invention. Only one
Figure 3 shows a first exemplary process variant. A printed product 4.1, for example a brochure, is inserted with the folding back first into a packaging element 3.1 that is essentially the same width, which packaging element has a pre-fold, that is, the packaging element 3.1 is folded (or bent) in such a way that its two folding parts do not cross the fold have the same extent. Here, for example, the shorter part is as long as or shorter than the product 4.1 to be packaged, while the longer part is longer than the shorter part by more than the thickness of the product to be packaged. The packaging element 3.1 and the inserted printed product 4.1 are advantageously aligned laterally with respect to one another and then the part of the packaging element projecting beyond the inserted product is placed around the corresponding edge of the inserted printed product and pressed on the other side, for example after application of adhesive for the closure. The adhesive can also be applied to the packaging element beforehand, for example before the packaging elements are fed to the packaging arrangement. If the packaging element 3.1 consists of an adhesive film, it is sufficient to press it together to close it. A packaging product 5.1 is created in which the packaging element covers the main areas of the printed product, but which is open on the sides.
The process variant according to FIG.
FIG. 4 shows a further exemplary method variant. The packaging element 3.5 is wider than the printed product 4.5 to be packed. The process is the same as the process according to FIG. 3 (without lateral alignment of the packaging element and printed product after insertion), but this is followed by a step for laterally closing the packaging element projecting laterally beyond the product to be packaged. This step can consist of activating adhesive that has already been applied to the packaging element beforehand, and then pressing the parts together (packaging product 5.5). The lateral closure of the packaging element can also be realized by deforming the lateral edge area of the packaging element, as a result of which a suitable packaging material is pressed together in such a way that a sufficient closure is formed even without adhesive (packaging product 5.6).
FIG. 5 shows a further, exemplary method variant in which the packaging element 3.7, which is folded or bent in the middle (no pre-fold), projects beyond the product 4.7 to be packed, both parallel to its fold and transversely thereto. To close the packaging, adhesive areas applied to the edge areas are activated beforehand if necessary and the edge areas are pressed together (packaging product 5.7). Adhesive can also be applied to the edge areas of the packaging element in the insertion compartments. An edge deformation process can also be used here (packaging product 5.8).
FIG. 6 shows a further exemplary process variant. The packaging element 3.9 used essentially corresponds to a double page of the product 4.9 to be packed.
FIG. 7 shows a further exemplary process variant. Here a packaging element 3.10 is used, which is not only pre-folded or at least bent, but which is prepared by further preparation steps. The packaging element arises from a
FIG. 8 shows a further exemplary method variant. A packaging element 3.11 is fed in here, which has already been stapled with the printed product that is not yet trimmed and is to be packaged. The production of such a printed product with attached packaging element in a collection process is described, for example, in the patent specification CH-540816 (Grapha Holding). The packaging element 3.11 has at least on one side a pre-fold 80 folded inwards. The packaging element 3.11 is dimensioned and folded in such a way that the folded edge of the folded
In the same way as described in connection with FIG. 8 with a packaging element with a folded-in pre-fold, a packaging element 3.10 (according to FIG. 7) can also be stitched and further processed with a printed product. In both cases, the printed product with the attached packaging element could of course also be fed to the method according to the invention in an already trimmed state. One or more other printed products can also be inserted into the printed product stapled with a packaging element, namely between the packaging element and the stapled printed product or between the sides of the printed product.
The methods shown in FIGS. 3 to 8 can, as already partially indicated, be combined in many ways and modified in an obvious manner in such a way that a whole series of further packaging products can be produced.
FIGS. 9 to 14 show exemplary embodiments of means for carrying out process steps on the packaging elements and / or printed products located in the insertion compartments. Should an arrangement with a packaging drum (Figure 1) or with a revolving Packaging system (Figure 2) to be set up or set up in such a way that all of the described process variants can be carried out, it must be provided with means for opening the packaging element, with means for laterally aligning the packaging element and the product to be packaged, with means for trimming the packaging element and the printed product , with means for unfolding folded parts of the packaging element, with means for applying adhesive to the packaging element or printed product, with means for compressing or deforming edge regions of the packaging element, with means for folding the packaging element around edges of the product to be packaged and with means for pressing be equipped or equipped with parts of the packaging element.
The means for performing the process steps listed above can be arranged on the plug-in compartments. They can be quasi stationary and the internal means of transport can guide the packaging elements and / or the printed products to be packed into their area for interaction, or they can act on the packaging elements and / or printed products stationary in the compartments through their own movement. On the other hand, the means for carrying out the method steps can also be arranged in a stationary manner outside the insertion compartments in such a way that they can interact with the packaging elements and / or printed products guided into their area by the movement of the insertion compartments.
US-4420146, F112).Means for opening the packaging element in the insertion compartment of a packaging drum or for the defined positioning of the already open packaging element in the insertion compartment of a packaging drum are known, for example, from the already mentioned patent publication DE-2447336 (or US-3951399, F69). In the same publication there are means for laterally aligning the packaging element and the printed product to be packed described. These are to be adapted accordingly for plug-in compartments of a circulating packaging system. Further means of opening are described in the patent publications CH-644814 (or US-4398710, F111) or CH-644815 (or US-4420146, F112).
US-5113731, F271), CH-583611 (bzw. US4038893, F78) oder CH-668216 (F197).Means for trimming the packaging element and the printed product inserted therein are described, for example, in the patent publications EP-367715 (or US-5113731, F271), CH-583611 (or US4038893, F78) or CH-668216 (F197).
FIG. 9 schematically shows an example of a means for unfolding a folded-in part of the packaging element aligned parallel to the folded edge in an insertion compartment with internal transport means (not shown), for example in a packaging drum. FIG. 10 shows an example of means for unfolding the folded parts of a
Unfolding swords, as shown in FIG. 10, can also be provided in each insertion compartment (without internal means of transport). They are then activated accordingly in a certain area of the transport route (B) of the compartments.
FIG. 11 shows very schematically an example of a means for applying adhesive to the
FIG. 12 shows an exemplary embodiment of means for compressing or deforming edge regions of the packaging element (for the method see FIGS. 4 and 5). This is a pair of
