    Claims (4)

    1. A device for unpiling a pile (10) of cards including:
      a picker (21) having a back and forth movement for driving each card to unpile; and
      a gate member (22) to let through a slit each card drawn by the picker; characterized in that the device comprises:
      a support member (24) placed at the top of the pile, and having a first axis (18) substantially parallel to the top of the pile, about which the picker (21) and the gate member (22) are articulated;
      a frame (14) having a second axis (19) perpendicular to the first axis and substantially parallel to the top of the pile, about which said support member is articulated; and
      a pressing device (12, 16) for urging the top of the pile against the picker and the gate member.
    2. The unpiling device of claim 1, wherein the pressing device includes a carriage (12) urged against the bottom of the pile (10) by a spring (16).
    3. The unpiling device of claim 1, wherein the first axis (18) is shifted with respect to the middle of the top of the pile, and wherein the picker (21) and gate member (22) extend partially over the cards perpendicularly to the first axis (18).
    4. The unpiling device of claim 1, wherein the picker (21) includes an abutting plane (21-1) having a portion parallel to the top of the pile (10) and a portion ascending inwards from the parallel portion.
