Definitions
- the invention relates to a guide sleeper with a trapezoidal cross section, which has a base, two side walls and a top, with mutually complementary first and second coupling elements with which adjacent guide sleepers can be coupled.
- Such guide thresholds are known, for example, from DE 89 15 303 U1, DE 89 12 563 U1, DE 91 07 263 U1 and DE 39 01 873 A1. They serve as temporary road markings on roads, for example in construction site areas.
- the known guide thresholds have some disadvantages that make them appear to be of limited use for this purpose. On the one hand, they are relatively voluminous and chunky, so that a lot of material is required to manufacture them and they are e.g. need so much space in narrow construction site areas that the remaining lane is too narrow. Their assembly into a continuous chain, which is carried out at the ends via plate-shaped connecting devices, is therefore relatively complicated to accomplish, and individual elements cannot be removed separately.
- the invention has for its object to provide a threshold of the type mentioned, which is smaller and more compact, has a comparatively low weight with sufficient traction and is easy to assemble and disassemble.
- each side wall has a flat wall section that merges into the base at an acute angle, that a concave forming a step on the flat wall section Transition area connects, which is followed by a second flat wall section.
- the cross-section of the guide threshold according to the invention is designed as a trapezoid with tapering side walls.
- Their shape means that they have a particularly high grip, i.e. can be run over by a motor vehicle at any approach angle without slipping.
- the tire of a motor vehicle does not collide with a vertical wall section, but easily hits the side wall of the threshold and thus presses it even more firmly onto the floor.
- the grip no longer depends on the dead weight of the threshold.
- the new guide threshold represents almost no noticeable resistance for vehicle tires.
- the transition of the flat wall section into the base is advantageously chamfered.
- the chamfering prevents the relatively thin edge from breaking off, particularly during transport and also when the guide threshold is passed over, and the guide threshold is thereby damaged.
- the chamfered area since the chamfered area only has a height of 2 mm to 5 mm, the chamfer has no disruptive effect when driving over it, so that the grip on the ground is not impaired. Since the chamfered area forms an angle of less than 90 ° with the base, impairment of the road grip can be ruled out for this reason alone, since the Vehicle tires can easily drive over this chamfered area over onto the first flat wall section. In addition, the chamfered area gradually merges into the flat wall section.
- the flat wall section and the base advantageously enclose an angle between 30 ° and 50 °, in particular between 35 ° and 45 °.
- the guiding threshold is optimally pressed onto the ground when driving over it.
- the displacement forces are easily absorbed by the base, which lies on the floor with sufficient static friction.
- the concave transition area is preferably 0.5 cm to 2 cm, in particular 0.5 cm to 1 cm long. This configuration creates a small step in which the forces from the vehicle tire act almost completely in the vertical direction on the guide threshold when the side threshold is passed.
- the concave transition region can be flat.
- the second flat wall section preferably merges into the upper side in a curve. This curvature prevents damage to the guide threshold on the one hand, and damage to the vehicle tire passing over it on the other. In addition, this curvature gives the guardrail an attractive appearance.
- Typical dimensions for the guide threshold according to the invention are a length of approx. 1 m, a width at the base of approx. 20 cm to 26 cm and a height of approx. 7 cm to 10 cm.
- the side walls are approx. 10 cm to 12 cm long. This results in an extremely compact design with high grip, so that the dead weight of the guardrail can be kept low.
- a receiving slot or other recess or receptacle can be provided in the guide threshold, into which a guide tab can be inserted vertically. This means that the guiding flags do not have to be installed together with the guiding thresholds, but can then be attached.
- the guide vane can be secured with an insert wedge so that it does not come loose when the vehicle is run over.
- the guide sleepers according to the invention are made from recycled material, ie reprocessed material, preferably pressed from granulated material. They are manufactured by cold pressing, so that they deform the guide threshold little or not at all in hot or cold conditions. In addition, defective guiding thresholds can be ground back into granules. So they are recyclable.
- a proportion of elastomers e.g. Rubber granules may be provided so that the guide threshold is elastic to a certain extent.
- anti-slip profiles in particular rubber or plastic knobs, can be provided at the base of the guide threshold.
- the construction of the coupling elements according to the invention means that the individual guide sleepers only have to be plugged into one another, that is to say they can be assembled simply and quickly in order to achieve a secure connection and that they do not move laterally at the connection points.
- the two coupling elements leave so much play in the connection that the guide sleepers can be mounted in a radius of 3 ° to 10 ° and can therefore also be used in road curves.
- the connection according to the invention also makes it possible to remove individual guiding thresholds from a guiding threshold chain separately, for example to temporarily allow passage.
- the guide threshold shown in FIG. 1 is approx. 1 m long, 26 cm wide at its widest point and 8 cm high at its highest point. It consists of pressed recycling material with 25 to 30% rubber granulate, e.g. of vehicle tires. It weighs approximately 16 kg and is elastic to a certain extent. For safety reasons, its surface is covered with a yellow layer of lacquer containing glass beads, which has reflective properties and is easy to see in the dark or in poor visibility.
- the cross section shows a base 2, two side walls 3 and 4 and an upper side 5.
- the cross section is reminiscent of a trapezoid.
- Nubs 6, 7 are embedded in the base 2 as additional anti-slip profiles.
- a closer look reveals the profile of the side walls 3, 4 as follows: the base 2 is followed by a 2 mm to 5 mm high chamfered area 8, which is at an angle ⁇ of approximately 70 ° to 80 ° into the base 2 and opens out via a convex transition region 9 into an approximately 4 cm long first flat wall section 10.
- This wall section 10 is connected via a concave transition area 11 to an approximately 6 cm long second flat wall section 12.
- the first flat wall section 10 and the second flat wall section 12 together with the base 2 each form an angle ⁇ or ⁇ 'of 35 ° to 45 ° and both lie in different planes.
- the second flat wall section 12 opens into the upper side 5 via a curve 13.
- the profiles of the two side walls 3, 4 are mirror images of each other to the vertical center line of the threshold 1.
- FIG. 2 shows how two guide thresholds 1 and 1 'according to the invention are connected to one another.
- a first coupling element 15 connects to an end face 14 of the guide threshold 1 '. This consists of a neck 16 which opens into the end face 14 and whose free end widens into a knob 17.
- the two coupling elements 15 and 19 are in the manner of a father-mother connection complementary to each other, so that on the one hand they interlock exactly, on the other hand they have so much play that the guide thresholds 1, 1 'can be angled at an angle of approximately 3 ° to 10 ° to one another.
- the guide sleeper 1 has on its upper side 5 a semicircular shaped receiving opening 22, into which, as shown in FIG. 2, a convexly curved guide tab 23 can be inserted vertically from above.
- This guide flag 23 is made of flexible material so that it can be driven over and is also covered with a reflective layer. It can be secured via a plug-in wedge, not shown here, which can be inserted into a wedge opening 24.
- the guide tie 1 has an insertion opening 25 for a lifting hook.
- the lifting hook is inserted into the insertion opening 25 and rotated through an angle, for example 90 °, so that it jams in the insertion opening 25. Then the threshold 1 can be easily raised and lifted out of the connection due to its relatively low weight.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a guide sleeper with a trapezoidal cross section, which has a base, two side walls and a top, with mutually complementary first and second coupling elements with which adjacent guide sleepers can be coupled.
Such guide thresholds are known, for example, from DE 89 15 303 U1, DE 89 12 563 U1, DE 91 07 263 U1 and DE 39 01 873 A1. They serve as temporary road markings on roads, for example in construction site areas.
The known guide thresholds have some disadvantages that make them appear to be of limited use for this purpose.
Above all, these known guide thresholds represent a certain resistance for the car tire when driving over it, since it hits a relatively high vertical wall section. This can lead to uncontrolled steering movements, especially with unsafe drivers.
Based on DE 89 15 303 U1, the invention has for its object to provide a threshold of the type mentioned, which is smaller and more compact, has a comparatively low weight with sufficient traction and is easy to assemble and disassemble.
The solution to the problem is that each side wall has a flat wall section that merges into the base at an acute angle, that a concave forming a step on the flat wall section Transition area connects, which is followed by a second flat wall section.
The cross-section of the guide threshold according to the invention is designed as a trapezoid with tapering side walls. Their shape means that they have a particularly high grip, i.e. can be run over by a motor vehicle at any approach angle without slipping. The tire of a motor vehicle does not collide with a vertical wall section, but easily hits the side wall of the threshold and thus presses it even more firmly onto the floor. The grip no longer depends on the dead weight of the threshold. In addition, the new guide threshold represents almost no noticeable resistance for vehicle tires.
The transition of the flat wall section into the base is advantageously chamfered. The chamfering prevents the relatively thin edge from breaking off, particularly during transport and also when the guide threshold is passed over, and the guide threshold is thereby damaged. However, since the chamfered area only has a height of 2 mm to 5 mm, the chamfer has no disruptive effect when driving over it, so that the grip on the ground is not impaired.
The flat wall section and the base advantageously enclose an angle between 30 ° and 50 °, in particular between 35 ° and 45 °. As a result, the guiding threshold is optimally pressed onto the ground when driving over it. The displacement forces are easily absorbed by the base, which lies on the floor with sufficient static friction.
The concave transition area is preferably 0.5 cm to 2 cm, in particular 0.5 cm to 1 cm long. This configuration creates a small step in which the forces from the vehicle tire act almost completely in the vertical direction on the guide threshold when the side threshold is passed. In one embodiment, the concave transition region can be flat.
The second flat wall section preferably merges into the upper side in a curve. This curvature prevents damage to the guide threshold on the one hand, and damage to the vehicle tire passing over it on the other. In addition, this curvature gives the guardrail an attractive appearance.
Typical dimensions for the guide threshold according to the invention are a length of approx. 1 m, a width at the base of approx. 20 cm to 26 cm and a height of approx. 7 cm to 10 cm. The side walls are approx. 10 cm to 12 cm long. This results in an extremely compact design with high grip, so that the dead weight of the guardrail can be kept low.
A receiving slot or other recess or receptacle can be provided in the guide threshold, into which a guide tab can be inserted vertically. This means that the guiding flags do not have to be installed together with the guiding thresholds, but can then be attached. The guide vane can be secured with an insert wedge so that it does not come loose when the vehicle is run over.
To make it easier to remove individual guide sleepers, in particular from a guide tie chain, one or more receiving openings can be provided for a lifting hook.
The guide sleepers according to the invention are made from recycled material, ie reprocessed material, preferably pressed from granulated material. They are manufactured by cold pressing, so that they deform the guide threshold little or not at all in hot or cold conditions. In addition, defective guiding thresholds can be ground back into granules. So they are recyclable.
A proportion of elastomers e.g. Rubber granules may be provided so that the guide threshold is elastic to a certain extent.
- beschichtung. For safety reasons, it is advisable to provide the surface of the guardrail with reflective material. An all-round coating or surface coating or coating with glass beads is particularly suitable.
To further increase the slip resistance, anti-slip profiles, in particular rubber or plastic knobs, can be provided at the base of the guide threshold.
The construction of the coupling elements according to the invention means that the individual guide sleepers only have to be plugged into one another, that is to say they can be assembled simply and quickly in order to achieve a secure connection and that they do not move laterally at the connection points. However, the two coupling elements leave so much play in the connection that the guide sleepers can be mounted in a radius of 3 ° to 10 ° and can therefore also be used in road curves. The connection according to the invention also makes it possible to remove individual guiding thresholds from a guiding threshold chain separately, for example to temporarily allow passage.

The guide threshold shown in FIG. 1 is approx. 1 m long, 26 cm wide at its widest point and 8 cm high at its highest point. It consists of pressed recycling material with 25 to 30% rubber granulate, e.g. of vehicle tires. It weighs approximately 16 kg and is elastic to a certain extent.
