Description

  • The invention relates to an operating and display unit for a hob with at least one heating zone, in particular for an electric built-in hob, with an operating and display element for setting an electronic control unit, which generates control signals for controlling power switching elements of a heating element assigned to the heating zone, this operating - And display unit is arranged in a section of the cooktop.
  • To control the heating power of the heating elements in the individual heating zones of a hob, cookers and built-in cooktops are equipped with corresponding operating elements for the user. These operating elements can be combined with suitable display elements to form an operating and display unit. The display elements are used, for example, to display the switch-on states the heating zones, the temperature or other information.
  • Rotary switches are known as controls of simple design; however, touch-sensitive sensor elements can also take their place. Display elements designed as light-emitting diodes are also known.
  • The starting point of the invention is a known hob plate, in which the operating and display elements are integrated in the hob plate. In the case of previously known built-in hobs or cookers, the operating and display elements for several heating zones are combined in one operating and display unit. Such a design is used above all for hob plates made of heat-resistant glass plates, for example of the glass ceramic material known under the trademark CERAN. The advantage of such an integration of the operating and display elements essentially into the plane of the hob is that they are in the user's field of vision and access area when viewed directly from above, so that better usage properties and greater ease of use are achieved.
  • The height of kitchen worktops, which are intended to accommodate built-in cooktops, is limited to a relatively low value of, for example, 40 mm by standardization, and this depth should not be exceeded for installation reasons, even when inserting a cooktop. In addition, since the glass-ceramic plate forming the hob is not intended to protrude significantly above the surface of the kitchen worktop, it appears difficult to heat-sensitive electronic components in the small installation space available as well as to accommodate operating and display elements. Another problem is the dissipation of the energy loss of the power switching electronics, which is also released as thermal energy and can damage the electronic components, in particular the sensitive sensor elements and the power controller, by excessive heat. It has therefore not been possible to accommodate these parts with relatively flat cooktops with a small installation depth according to the dimensions specified above.
  • A hob is known from DE 38 02 406 A1, in which a functional part is inserted in a corner region of the hob plate. This functional part forms an operating and / or display unit. Since there is no height offset of the functional part with respect to the hob, there is no increase in the free installation height for the installation of operating and display elements. In addition, the remaining joint between the functional part used and the hob plate is not closed, so that remnants of overflowed food can get stuck.
  • The prior art also includes a switch point display according to CH-PS 402 210. This is a control panel which is inserted into the kitchen worktop outside the hob and which contains operating and display elements for hot plate control. This control panel is also not arranged in a section of a corner area of the cooktop, but lies to the side of the cooktop. The problem of creating additional free installation height does not exist here because there is sufficient installation height available in the interior of the separate control panel.
  • The invention is based on the task of specifying an operating and display unit which, while maintaining the advantageous combination of operating and display elements, offers better cooling conditions even with a relatively small installation depth and thereby avoids the disadvantages of the previously known forms of training.
  • This object is achieved according to the invention in that the cooktop has a raised plate part that at least partially overlaps the cutout above the cutout, and that operating and display elements are arranged in the area of this raised plate part. This creates an additional gain in space by increasing the internal free installation height by at least the thickness of the hob plate and thereby the temperature in the area of the built-in electronic components can be reduced in such a way that damage due to excessively high temperatures can be avoided and that in the built-in hob despite the low Installation depth the entire electronics including the power section is to be accommodated.
  • In a preferred embodiment, the operating and display elements are arranged under the raised plate part. The operating elements are expediently sensor keys, so that a cleaning-friendly surface of the operating and display unit is achieved in connection with flat display elements.
  • The cooktop is advantageously made of glass-ceramic material.
  • An appropriate training can provide that an additional Küchlschiene for connection in the region of the cutout is provided with at least one power switching element. With such a design, the electronic control unit can also be arranged below the attached plate part, with a sufficient cooling effect being achieved.
  • The thermal load on the electronic built-in parts can optionally be further reduced by using the edge surround as a heat sink in the case of an existing metallic edge surround of the hob plate and preferably connecting it to at least one power switching element. Such an embodiment can also be used to achieve an improved cooling effect in operating and display units in which the cooktop plate does not have a raised plate part. It also appears expedient to connect an additional cooling rail present in the region of the cutout to the metallic edge border.
  • An expedient design, in which the operating and display unit is preferably arranged in a front corner area of the cooktop, enables this unit to be at a sufficiently large distance from the heating elements of the heating zone and therefore a lower thermal load. The attached plate part can be constructed in various ways, preferably triangular, sector-shaped or rectangular or composed of such contours. In order to achieve a greater free installation height below the raised plate part, it can also be expedient to place the plate part on the hob plate with the interposition of a spacer part which preferably also overlaps the hob plate at least in sections.
  • In a preferred embodiment, the plate part can consist of a blank made of glass-ceramic material. The attached plate part can also be expediently connected to the hob plate by a heat-resistant adhesive connection.
  • The invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to an exemplary embodiment shown schematically in the figures; show it:

  • FIG. 1 shows a built-in hob 2 built into a recess in a kitchen worktop 1, which is provided with an operating and display unit 5 in a front corner region 3 of a glass ceramic hob 4.
  • The hob plate 4, which is flat on its upper side 6, has four heating zones 7, each with an electrical resistance heating element (not shown) below the ceramic hob plate 4. In the corner area 3, the essentially rectangular hob plate 4 is provided with a triangular cutout 8. Above the cutout 8, a plate part 9 is glued overlapping as a glass-ceramic plate cut corresponding to the shape of the cutout 8 on the upper side of the cooktop plate 4 with a constant width B (see FIG. 2). The plate part 9 is opposite the hob plate 4 aligned so that its side surface 10 is flush with the side surface 12 of the hob 4 and its side surface 11 with its side surface 13.
  • As can be seen from FIGS. 1 and 2, an operating element in the form of a sensor element 20 and a light-emitting diode as a display element 21 for displaying the heating level set by the sensor element 20 are arranged in the plate part 9 for each heating zone 7. In this case, feed lines (not shown) transmit electrical signals from the sensor elements 20 to an electronic control unit 22 located below the plate part 9. Depending on the actuation of the sensor elements 20, this generates control signals for controlling power switching elements 24, which in turn supply the supply voltage for the resistance heating elements of the heating zones 7 . In the exemplary embodiment shown, the power switching elements 24 are triacs.
  • To dissipate the relatively large amounts of heat that the power switching elements 24 release as loss energy in the area of the operating and display unit, the power switching elements 24 are placed on a cooling rail 30. A further improvement in the cooling effect is achieved in that the cooling rail 30 is connected to a metallic rim 31 of the hob plate 4 and the plate part 9 in the form of aluminum profile rails as a heat sink. In an alternative embodiment it can also be provided that the edge border is connected directly to the brackets of the power switching elements.

Claims (11)

  1. Operating and display unit for a hob with at least one heating zone, in particular for an electric built-in hob, with an operating and display element for setting an electronic control unit, which generates control signals for controlling power switching elements of a heating element assigned to the heating zone, this operating and display unit in A cutout of the cooktop is arranged, characterized in that the cooktop (4) has a raised plate part (9) which overlaps the cutout (8) at least in sections above the cutout (8), and that operating and display elements (20, 21) are arranged in the area of this raised plate part (9).
  2. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that the hob plate (4) consists of glass-ceramic material.
  3. Device according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that an additional cooling rail (30) is provided in the region of the cutout (8) for connection to at least one power switching element (24).
  4. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the electronic control unit (22) is arranged below the attached plate part (9).
  5. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the attached plate part (9) is triangular.
  6. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the attached plate part (9) is circular sector-shaped.
  7. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the attached plate part (9) is rectangular.
  8. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that the plate part (9) is connected to the hob plate (4) by an adhesive connection.
