Da die Lageröffnung an einer zylindrischen Mantelfläche des Lagerzapfens großflächig anliegt sind die beiden Zangenhälften um die Lagerzapfen- bzw. Lageröffnungsachse gegeneinander verschwenkbar. Durch den großflächigen Kontakt kann das Moment zwischen den Funktionselementen und den Handgriffen sicher übertragen werden. Diese Lagerung zwischen den beiden Zangenhälften wird durch eine Schraube, die in den Lagerzapfen eingeschraubt ist und mit ihrem Schraubenkopf an der die Lageröffnung umgebenden Außenseite der Zangenhälfte anliegt, gesichert. Da es sich bei der Schraube um einen Standardartikel handelt, kann sie kostengünstig und einfach beschafft werden.
