Abrollbare Abdeckung für sich im wesentlichen horizontal erstreckende Flächen von Bauwerken, insbesondere von Glasdächern, wobei die Abdeckung auf einer Abdeckungsrolle aufwickelbar ist, für welche ortsfeste Lagerböcke vorgesehen sind, und deren ausrollbares Ende in einer Saumstange gehalten ist, deren Enden in Führungsschienen antreibbar sind, so daß mittels der Saumstange die Abdeckung im vorgegebenen Ausmaß abgerollt wird, während das Zugmittel um eine vordere Umlenkrolle um 180 ° umgelenkt und sodann auf einer Aufwickelrolle aufwickelbar ist, und wobei nach Maßgabe eines Spannungsausgleichs zwischen der Abdeckungsrolle und der seitlich derselben vorgesehenen Aufwickelrolle für das Zugmittel eine elastische Verbindung besteht,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
   daß der Durchmesser des Grundes (2) der Aufwickelrolle (3), auf welche die erste Windung des Zugmittels (4) zur Anlage kommt, mindestens so groß ist wie der Durchmesser der voll aufgewickelten Abdeckungsrolle (1).
