Definitions
- the cylinder lock is of the type in which control elements are provided with control elements which protrude into a key channel and scan control grooves of a key inserted into the key channel, at least one control element with two control elements being provided on at least one side of the key channel approximately parallel to this, which extend with a first longitudinal extension through a slot of the cylinder core into the key channel in order to cooperate with the shallow control grooves of the key inserted into the key channel and on the same side of the key channel at least one further control element is provided with a control element which is in contact with a second Longitudinal extension through another slot of the cylinder core extends into the key channel to interact with the deep control groove of the key inserted into the key channel, the first longitudinal extent being smaller than the second longitudinal stretching and at least one locking element is provided, which can be brought into the release position for the rotation of the cylinder core relative to the cylinder housing when the control elements are in the appropriate position.
- control grooves are generally provided on the side surfaces, the distance from which is variable from the key back, and if necessary, further control elements, such as incisions on the key bit for pin tumblers, control surfaces on the key back and longitudinal ribs and grooves are arranged in the key insertion direction, at least one of the two Side surfaces at least three control grooves are provided, at least one of the control grooves is formed deeper than the other control grooves and the two shallow control grooves are provided approximately parallel to each other.
- the present invention is based on a key and lock construction as disclosed in EP-OS 335 069.
- the aim of the invention is to improve this known lock in terms of number of variations and locking security.
- the same effect is also to be achieved with regard to the new design of the key.
- the lock according to the invention is characterized in accordance with the characterizing part of claim 1. Further preferred and advantageous features of the invention, also with regard to the key design, can be found in the following description, the patent claims and the drawing.
- FIG. 1 shows a locking cylinder in which the cylinder housing in the central longitudinal section and the cylinder core rotatable therein are shown in a view in an untwisted position.
- Figure 2 shows schematically a section along the line II-II, only one half of the cylinder core and cylinder housing is shown and the key is inserted.
- Fig.3 is a section along the line III-III in Fig.2.
- 4 is a central longitudinal section through the cylinder housing and
- FIG. 5 shows a partial section of the view of the cylinder housing from the right, the partial section corresponding to the line V-V in FIG. 4.
- Figure 6 is the side view of a key and
- Figure 7 is a section along the line VII-VII in Figure 6.
- 8 and 9 are a longitudinal section and a view of the profile bar.
- 10 and 11 are views of a further embodiment of the lock similar to FIGS. 1 and 2.
- the cylinder housing 1 sits in the cylinder bore 2 of the cylinder core 3, which is rotatable relative to the cylinder housing.
- the cylinder core is closed off from the outside by the collar 4, while on the other side of the cylinder core the coupling part 5, not shown here, is seated.
- the cylinder housing 1 has six ring grooves 6 parallel to one another, which are open towards the cylinder bore 2.
- a locking slide 8 is slidably arranged, which carries a number of locking elements 9, which over the protrude outer cylinder surface of the cylinder core 3 and can enter the ring grooves 6 with a corresponding sliding position of the locking slide 8 and thus allow the rotation of the cylinder core in the cylinder housing, or prevent the cylinder core from rotating in the sliding position shown, since they are on the webs 34 between the ring grooves 6 get stuck.
- the locking slide is suspended via a spring pin 10.
- a control slide 11 is provided at one end of the locking slide 8 and can slide radially into the cylinder core.
- control slide 11 lies above a run-up surface 42 of the locking slide 8. If the control slide 11 is pressed into the cylinder core, the locking slide 8 is displaced to the right against the spring of the spring pin 10 until the locking elements 9 engage the annular grooves 6 are in alignment.
- FIG. 2 shows a section along the line II-II, only one half of a cylinder lock being shown. The other half is only indicated schematically in order to keep the drawing clear.
- the key 14 is fully inserted into the associated key channel of the cylinder core.
- the key 14 has control grooves 15, by means of which the corresponding displacement position of the locking pins 16, which are arranged displaceably in the cleared bores 13, is set.
- the locking pins 16 have control bolts 17 towards the key channel, which are guided in the control grooves 15 of the key and on the other side each locking pin 16 carries locking bolts 18 which run in recesses 19 when the locking slide 8 is in the position shown.
- the control slide 11 is in the zero position (untwisted position of the cylinder core in the cylinder housing) in a control recess 20 of the cylinder housing 1.
- the control slide 11 is pushed inwards in the direction of the arrow 21, which is permitted by the dome milling 22 in the key 14.
- the locking slide 8 is moved to the right, which in turn is made possible by the fact that the locking pins 16 assume a position according to the correct key 14, which allow the locking projections 23 of the locking slide 8 to enter.
- the locking elements 9 come into the corresponding position that they are aligned with the ring grooves 6 of the housing and allow the cylinder core to be rotated in the cylinder housing.
- FIG. 3 shows a section which illustrates the interaction of the parts described above.
- the cross section of the key 14 is incomplete insofar as it has only drawn in the grooves 15, which are actually tax effective at the corresponding cross section.
- the single deeper groove is therefore missing in the left half and the two associated shallower grooves are missing in the right half, which is explained in more detail below.
- the flat key 14 is scanned from the left and from the right by the two locking pins 16 and strictly speaking by the control bolt 17. Both locking pins 16 are displaceable in height in the cleared bores 13.
- the locking bolts 18 lie as ribs along the locking pins 16 and have recesses 24 through which the locking extensions 23 of the locking slide 8 can be pushed. If on one side of the key 14 all locking pins 16 assume this correct position, the associated locking slide 8 can be moved so that the locking elements 9 can enter the respective ring grooves 6 when the cylinder core is rotated, so that the cylinder core can be rotated further.
- the key is a wrong one, at least one of the locking pins 16 is wrong, so that the locking pin 18 meshes with one or both locking extensions 23 and thus the locking slide 8 cannot be moved.
- the locking elements 9 then strike the surfaces 25 of the webs 34 between the ring grooves 6, so that another further twisting of the cylinder core is prevented massively and effectively.
- a profile strip 26 is provided as a further safety and variation element.
- This profile strip 26 lies along the key channel in a recess 27 of the cylinder core and is radially displaceable therein, that is in the direction from and to the key.
- the profiling 28 scans an associated profiling of the key back (or the key chest) 29.
- the profile strip 26 has a plurality of bumps 30 distributed over its length, with which the profile strip lies in moon-shaped bumps 31 when the key is in the zero position.
- the profiles 28 and those of the key back 29 are not engaged. When turning the cylinder core, the profile bar 26 is pushed towards the back of the key, so that the mutual profiles scan each other.
- the profile strip 26 remains with part of its body within the cleared slot 32, so that the strip strikes one of the stop surfaces 33 of the webs between the ring grooves 6. 8, 9 show the profile strip 26 in section and view from the key channel and are self-evident. The number of ribs shown is just one of the many possible variations. 3 shows the profile strip 26 in a raised position, as occurs in practice only after turning the cylinder core. The depth of the grooves 15 and the longitudinal extent of the control bolts 17 are each drawn in with the same dimensions. In practice, there are preferably different dimensions, as will be explained below with reference to FIGS. 6 and 7.
- the control recess 20 serves to control the control slide 11.
- the annular grooves 6 are each separated from the webs 34 from one another.
- the webs 34 are interrupted by the cleared grooves 35 and form the surfaces 25, which may serve as a stop for the locking elements 9.
- Three of the ring grooves 6 have the moon-shaped Overflow troughs 31, in which the overflow knobs 30 run and as a result of which the profile strip 26 is pressed inwards against the back of the key.
- the also cleared groove 36 is used during assembly for inserting the profile strip 26 into the recess 27 of the cylinder core.
- Fig. 6 shows the side view of a key, as it can be used for example in a lock seated FIGS. 1 to 5.
- the key shank On the flat side 37 shown, the key shank carries the spherical milling 22 for receiving the control slide 11.
- Three control grooves extend from the key tip 38 in accordance with the control grooves 15 described above.
- the two control grooves 39 are guided parallel to one another and are designed to be relatively shallow.
- the third control groove 40 is deeper and can therefore also cut the other two grooves 39.
- One type of locking pin has a longer control pin 17 which is guided through the deep control groove 40.
- the other locking pin type has two shorter control bolts which are guided by the two control grooves 39.
- the positions of the various control bolts 17 of the locking pins lying parallel to one another are drawn as circles in FIG.
- the key is preferably provided as a reversible key, according to which the other flat side of the key is designed in such a way that the same picture results after a 180 ° rotation, as shown in FIG.
- the key tip 38 is dovetail-shaped.
- the shallow grooves 39 extend into both tip areas of the key, while the deep control groove 40 begins in the middle at the bottom of the dovetail-shaped recess. This ensures that the control pin 17 of the locking pins regardless of their random rest position of the correct control grooves be recorded.
- the profiling on both key backs is also provided symmetrically for the formation of a reversible key, the profiling showing any of the many possible profiling variations.
- the profiling is preferably inclined, which makes reworking much more difficult.
- two transverse grooves 41 are provided, which serve as locking grooves for a spring catch arranged in the cylinder core. This spring catch noticeably signals the key user when the key is fully inserted into the key channel.
- the dome milling 22 extends with its cylindrical surface-shaped reasons to close to the central longitudinal plane of the key, so that only a relatively thin web remains between these reasons.
- the depth of each dome milling corresponds to the necessary stroke of the control spool 11. However, the dome milling may only extend over a limited part of the key shaft height, otherwise the key would break at this point. This is another key security feature.
- the height 44 of the calotte milling is preferably more than 50% of the key shaft height 45.
- the base 46 of the dovetail-shaped recess 47 lies in the longitudinal plane of symmetry 48 of the key shaft, from where a deeper groove 40 (on both key sides) also begins.
- the two flanks 49 guide the control bolts 17 of the locking pins into a likewise symmetrical position, from which the parallel, shallower control grooves 39 extend.
- Control slide 11 causes the displacement of the locking slide 8.
- the control slide 11 can be made of hardened metal, so that only slight wear occurs.
- the displacement is supported by the bevels of the blocking elements 9 (see FIG. 1) which slide between the annular grooves 6 along the leading edges of the webs 34. Wear of these bevels is effectively prevented.
- FIG. 10 shows a view of the lock according to the invention analogous to FIG. 1, a modified version of the locking slide 8 being used and bearing the reference number 50.
- 11 shows the corresponding sectional side view.
- the locking slide 50 is not slidable in the axial direction, but in the radial direction and in one piece with the control slide 51, which corresponds to the function of the control slide 11 described above.
- the locking slide 50 is either inserted over its entire length within its longitudinal recess 7 in the cylinder core 3, or is prevented in its radial displacement when the wrong key is used, so that the elongated latching extension 52 protrudes in an axial longitudinal groove of the cylinder housing and thus the rotation of the cylinder core prevented.
- the locking slide 50 can preferably be made entirely of hard metal, so that it also represents a drilling protection.
- the two extensions 53 are used for additional control of the spool.
- the bores 54 shown in broken lines are open at the bottom against the material of the cylinder core and take up compression springs, so that the locking slide 50 as a whole is biased outwards in the direction of the cylinder housing.
- This locking slide 50 can be seen in FIG. 11.
- the functional position is shown in which the correct key is inserted and is already slightly twisted, so that the locking slide 50 is pushed into the cylinder core over its entire length.
- the webs 34 of the annular grooves on the inner surface of the cylinder housing are interrupted by an axial groove 55, so that there is room for immersing the latching extension 52 of the locking slide 50.
- the illustrated inserted position of the locking slide 50 is made possible in that all locking pins 16 assume the correct position, as has already been described above, and in that the key has the correct spherical milling 22.
- the compression springs 56 can push the locking slide in the direction of arrow 57 outwards.
- the latching extension 52 thus enters the axial groove 55 and the webs 34 located between the ring grooves 6 can prevent the cylinder core from rotating. This blocking occurs when either the spherical cap 22 is not available or is not deep enough, or when at least one of the locking pins 16 is in the wrong position.
