Das Unterhaltungsgerät weist ein Gehäuse 1 auf, in dem eine durch eine zentrale Steuereinheit gesteuerte Geldverarbeitungseinrichtung mit einer zugehörigen Einzahleinheit und einer Auszahleinheit untergebracht ist. Der Einzahleinheit ist ein Eingabeschlitz 2 für Münzen mit nachgeordnetem Münzprüfer, ein Eingabeschlitz 3 für Banknoten mit nachgeordnetem Banknotenprüfer und ein Eingabeschlitz 4 für Kreditkarten, Code-Karten oder dergleichen mit nachgeordneter Leseeinrichtung zugeordnet. Des weiteren ist die Geldverarbeitungseinrichtung mit einer Anzeige 5 gekoppelt, in der das in die Geldverarbeitungseinrichtung eingegebene Guthaben dargestellt wird. Die Geldverarbeitungseinrichtung kann eine Schnittstelle für die Datenfernübertragung über ein Modem an einen Heim-Computer aufweisen. Jedem Einschubfach 8 ist eine Spielbereitschaftstaste 10 zugeordnet, mit der ein in der Anzeige 5 vorhandenes Guthaben in Spieleinsatzschritten auf einen ausgewählten Spielautomaten übertragen werden kann, wobei das übertragene Guthaben in einer Guthabenanzeige 11 des jeweiligen Spielautomaten 9 anzeigbar ist. Auf der Basis dieses Guthabens ist dann der aus dem Einschubfach 8 herausgenommene Spielautomat 9 an jedem beliebigen Platz innerhalb einer Gaststätte oder dergleichen bespielbar. Der in einer Hand zu haltende Spielautomat ermöglicht ein ermüdungsfreies Spielen im Sitzen an einem Tisch oder an der Theke der Gaststätte. Will der Spieler sein Spiel beenden, so stellt er einfach den Spielautomaten 9 in das Einschubfach 8 zurück, woraufhin aufgrund der dann wiedergegebenen Verbindung mit der Geldverarbeitungseinrichtung ein eventuell in der Guthabenanzeige 11 vorhandenes Guthaben in die Geldverarbeitungseinrichtung zurückübertragen und in der Anzeige 5 angezeigt wird. Mittels der Rückgabetaste 7 kann dieses Guthaben in die Ausgabeschale 6 abgerufen werden oder es kann mittels einer Spielbereitschaftstaste 10 auf einen anderen Spielautomaten übertragen werden. Die Umlaufkörper 14 werden nach dem Inlaufsetzen zu Spielbeginn während oder zum Ende des Spiels unter Zufallseinfluß zum Stillstand gebracht. In einer Mehrzahl möglicher Rastpositionen kommen die Umlaufkörper 14 zum Stillstand. Den Rastpositionen sind auf dem Umfang der Umlaufkörper 14 Symbole zugeordnet, die der Anzeige des Spielergebnisses in den Ablesefenstern 13 dienen. Aus den angezeigten Symbolen kann der Spieler das Spielergebnis ablesen, insbesondere auch, ob sich ein Gewinn nach einem auf der Frontseite des Spielautomaten 9 erläuterten Gewinnschlüssel aus einer Kombination der angezeigten Symbole ergeben hat. Durch Betätigung einer Taste 15 können die in der Symbol-Spieleinrichtung 12 angezeigten Symbole gehalten bzw. nachgestartet werden. Im Falle eines Gewinns erfolgt die Gewinnausgabe durch Aufaddieren in der Guthabenanzeige 11. Im übrigen ist bei dem unteren linken Spielautomaten 9 des Unterhaltungsgerätes die Symbol-Spieleinrichtung 12 auf einem Bildschirm 16 dargestellt. Zwei Spielautomaten 9 weisen eine Risiko-Spieleinrichtung und ein Spielautomat 9 zwei Risiko-Spieleinrichtungen 17 auf. Jede Risiko-Spieleinrichtung 17 kann bei einem bereits erzielten Gewinn über eine Taste 18 in Betätigung gesetzt werden. Dabei wird auf einer Risikoleiter 19, die auf Gewinnanzeigeelementen verschiedene Gewinnwerte anzeigt, der bereits erzielte Gewinn und der erzielbare Gewinn optisch hervorgehoben. Über einen in dem Spielautomaten 9 vorhandenen Zufallsgenerator wird entschieden, ob der bereits erzielte Gewinn verlorengeht oder erhöht wird. Bei Erhöhung des Gewinnes wird dieser wieder als erzielter Gewinn angezeigt und auch der nun erzielbare Gewinn wird wieder optisch hervorgehoben. Durch Betätigung der Taste 18 kann der erzielte Gewinn erneut riskiert werden. Entscheidet der Zufallsgenerator, daß der Gewinn verlorengeht, so leuchtet ein der Risikoleiter 19 zugeordnetes Anzeigefeld 20 mit der Beschriftung "Nichts" auf und ein neues Spiel kann beginnen. Die Risikoleiter 19 zeigt im oberen Bereich Sonderspielgewinne und im unteren Bereich Geldgewinne an. In diesem Falle umfaßt die Geldverarbeitungseinrichtung einen Vorrat an Benutzerkarten mit einer zugeordneten Kartenausgabe 22 und einen Speicher für Benutzerguthaben. Des weiteren weist die Geldverarbeitungseinrichtung eine Erfassungseinheit für einen über die Einzahleinheit durch den Eingabeschlitz 2 für Münzen und/oder durch den Eingabeschlitz 3 für Banknoten eingegebenen Betrag auf. Der eingegebene Betrag wird in dem Speicher für Benutzerguthaben gespeichert und gleichzeitig wird eine Benutzerkarte mit einem Code entsprechende dem gespeicherten Benutzerguthaben über die Kartenausgabe 22 ausgegeben. Mit der Benutzerkarte kann dann ein ausgesuchter Spielautomat durch Einführung der Benutzerkarte in eine Leseinrichtung über einen Eingabeschlitz 23 des Spielautomaten bespielt werden. Nach Beendigung des Spiels wird der Spielautomat 9 in das Einschubfach 8 eingesetzt und die Benutzerkarte in die Kartenausgabe 22 zurückgegeben, woraufhin in der Anzeige 5 des Unterhaltungsgerätes das dem Benutzer noch zur Verfügung stehende Guthaben erscheint.A second exemplary embodiment of the money-operated entertainment device is shown in FIG. 2, in which the same parts are provided with the same reference numerals as in FIG. 1. Claims (14)

  1. Money-actuated entertainment apparatus, having a housing and a money processing means, which is controlled by a central control unit and has a paying-in unit and a paying-out unit associated therewith, characterised in that the housing (1) includes a plurality of slide-in compartments (8) for the accommodation of small, handy, computer-controlled entertainment terminals (9), more especially automatic gaming machines, which are removable from the housing by the player and can be returned again to the particular slide-in compartment after the end of the game, said terminals being provided with an accumulator and, in the slide-in position, being connected to the control unit of the money processing means bidirectionally either via a plug connection, which serves as an interface, or via a long connection lead.
  2. Money-actuated entertainment apparatus according to claim 1, characterised in that a game stand-by button (10) is associated with each slide-in compartment (8), by means of which button a credit, which is input into the money processing means and shown in a display (5), is transferable to the selected entertainment terminal (9) and can be shown in a credit display (11) of this entertainment terminal (9).
  3. Money-actuated entertainment apparatus according to claims 1 and 2, characterised in that the credit is transferred from the display (5) of the entertainment apparatus to the credit display (11) of the selected entertainment terminal (9) in predetermined steps, more especially game starting steps.
  4. Money-actuated entertainment apparatus according to claims 1 to 3, characterised in that, after a played entertainment terminal (9) has been re-inserted into the slide-in compartment (8), a credit which is displayed in the credit display (11) of this entertainment terminal (9) is totalled in the display (5) associated with the money processing means.
  5. Money-actuated entertainment apparatus according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the credit is recallable into a dispensing dish (6) of the paying-out means by actuating a return button (7).
  6. Money-actuated entertainment apparatus according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that a predetermined amount of money is inputted into the money processing means via a magnetic strip card.
  7. Money-actuated entertainment apparatus according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that an input of free games is provided via a code card which can be read by the money processing means.
  8. Money-actuated entertainment apparatus according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that
    - the money processing means includes a supply of user cards, a card dispenser (22) and a memory for user credits;
    - the money processing means has a detection unit for an amount input via the paying-in unit, an input amount being stored in the memory for user credits, and a user card having a code corresponding to the stored user credit being dispensed via the card dispenser (22), with which card a selected entertainment terminal (9) can be played via a user card reading means; and
    - after this entertainment terminal (9) has been re-inserted into the slide-in compartment (8) and after the user card has been returned to the card dispenser (22), the existing credit is transferred back to the money processing means via a user card reader.
  9. Money-actuated entertainment apparatus according to one of claims 1 to 8, characterised in that the money processing means has a display (5) which, when a user card is in the user card reader, displays the stored credit associated with said card.
  10. Money-actuated entertainment apparatus according to one of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that the individual entertainment terminals (9), which have a small housing, are provided with various symbol playing means (12) and various playing systems, including associated actuating means and displays.
  11. Money-actuated entertainment apparatus according to one of claims 1 to 10, characterised in that the housing (1) is configured as a wall, upright or table console.
