Darüber hinaus lassen sich Aussagen über die Lebensdauer von Gummitüchern bzw. Gummiwalzen machen, insbesondere dann, wenn diese Gummitücher zu mehreren Einsätzen an evtl. noch verschiedenen Druckmaschinen kommen. Claims (5)

  1. Device for the identification of a roller shell (2) of an offset printing machine, which roller shell is made of a rubber-like material, having a microchip (3) incorporated into the roller shell (2) of the offset printing machine and having a sensing device (4), which excites the microchip (3) to emit signals, the signals permitting unambiguous identification of the microchip (3), and thus of the roller shell (2).
  2. Device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the roller shell (2) is a rubber blanket.
  3. Device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the microchip (3) has dimensions in the order of magnitude of mm2.
  4. Device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the signals emitted by the microchip (3) are radiowaves which contain information relating to an identification number of the microchip (3).
  5. Device according to Claim 4, characterized in that information relating to the roller shell (2) which is assigned to the identification number is stored in a storage device (6) which is assigned to a computer (5), and in that this information is made available after the identification number has been input.
