Abstract

The invention provides a VDU workstation which has one or more horizontal support and / or guide rails (7), to which vertical side parts (8) are slidably attached, which are used for fastening built-in or add-on parts, serve devices, units or the like. This screen workstation allows a high degree of flexibility in the positioning and distribution of the built-in or add-on parts, devices, units or the like, as well as their extremely space-saving arrangement.

Description

  • The invention relates to a screen workstation which is suitable in particular for brokers, brokers, securities dealers or the like and which has a plurality of devices, such as screens, electronic units, storage racks or the like, which are arranged above and next to one another in the area of a worktop.
  • Such screen workstations must have considerable flexibility, and in particular in industries such as money and securities traders, commodities traders or brokers, it is necessary to arrange a large number of screens and electronic devices in a confined space. It is also necessary to arrange this electronic device and the screens in an adjustable manner both in the horizontal direction, in the vertical direction and in depth and in inclination.
  • This is necessary, on the one hand, to take the various device dimensions into account, and on the other hand to be able to take into account the ergonomic conditions of the workplace, such as the grip area of the employee and the mirror-free arrangement of the devices. In addition, it makes sense to be able to flexibly build the workplaces taking into account right-handed and left-handed people and the special and changing requirements of the individual work areas.
  • So it is not uncommon for up to six, or in extreme cases, more screens to be displaced in one workplace whose size should be arranged above and next to each other, next to keyboards, loudspeakers, storage racks etc.
  • In order to meet these requirements, enclosures with adjustable platforms or with adjustable shelves have been manufactured since then. Movable support arms of various designs or ball head brackets that can be moved in all directions are also used for this application. However, these or similar measures significantly impair the flexibility of the arrangement at the workplace. Furthermore, corresponding workplaces have the disadvantage that the urgently needed space at the workstation is lost due to the supporting structures, in particular the disadvantages mentioned above become apparent when it is necessary to arrange the workplaces closely together in order to meet the communicative requirements in this business area.
  • Furthermore, retrofitting in workplaces in the previous arrangement has entailed high cost expenditures if the use of new devices means that the dimensions deviate from the old devices and this results in high conversion costs. Another disadvantage of the previous arrangements is the limited dissipation of heat generated by the device, which is very much impeded by constructive side walls, floors, etc.
  • The object of the present invention is, in particular, to design a monitor work station of the type described above in such a way that a high degree of flexibility is achieved with such display work stations equipped with electronic devices with regard to the positioning of these devices and other built-in or add-on parts, devices, units o. The like. is desirable, can be easily implemented without the need for expensive conversion work or design changes. It should be possible that the retrofitting of technical office personnel, such as a caretaker or the like, can be carried out. Furthermore, an optimal retrofitting of devices should be made possible.
  • This object is achieved by a VDU workstation, which is characterized by a horizontal support and / or guide rail on which vertical side parts are slidably attached, on which support or holding elements for the devices mentioned and for installation units or the like can be attached and / or to which built-in or add-on parts, devices, units or the like can be attached directly.
  • The solution to the above problem is therefore, in particular, that the devices, such as screens and electronic components, keyboards, speakers or shelves, are hung on a horizontal rail system. The screens and other electronic devices can be installed in a workstation furniture in such a way that they can be moved in the horizontal direction via the side parts which are slidably attached to the horizontal support and / or guide rail and form a horizontally arranged hanging device.
  • Furthermore, the design according to the invention can be such that the vertical side parts are essentially flat, in particular plate-shaped, and through openings for fastening built-in or add-on parts, devices, units or the like on each side part or on two side parts or also on more than two side parts and / or for ventilation of heat-emitting built-in or add-on parts, devices, units or the like.
  • In this way, housings, such as loudspeakers, insert shelves or housings for accommodating other technical or electronic devices, can be attached or installed to the side parts or between two side parts.
  • The through openings can be designed as slots or holes, in particular circular holes, wherein the holes can also have other shapes, for example square, rectangular, oval or the like.
  • These through openings can also be provided in such a way that two or more identical and / or different built-in parts or the like can be fastened one above the other between vertical side parts.
  • In a further embodiment of the invention, the design of the side parts can be such that double-layered side parts are formed, which are composed of a first vertical part forming one layer and a second vertical part forming the other layer and fastened to one another. Here, the first vertical part and the second vertical part can be vertically and / or horizontally adjustably fastened to one another, for which purpose the two vertical parts can each have through openings, which are preferably designed as slots, the through openings of the one vertical part relative to the through openings of the other vertical part are preferably offset and / or rotated, in particular in such a way that the longitudinal extension of the through openings of one vertical part at an angle, preferably of 90 °, to the longitudinal extension of the through openings of the other vertical part is aligned.
  • If a monitor or other technical device is set up between two oppositely arranged, double-layered vertical side parts over a supporting floor, which is attached by inserting or screwing in, then it is through the slots or holes, preferably offset by 90 °, that are provided as through openings, possible to position the device both in height and in depth, as well as in the inclination, in that the two vertical parts, which form a double-layered side part, by loosening the screws of their through openings in a corresponding manner to one another adjusted and then screwed tight in the required position.
  • In a special embodiment of the VDU workstation according to the invention, two adjacent workplaces can be equipped with a common horizontal support and / or guide rail, so that devices can also be arranged in the connection area between two VDU workstations, which can be used by the operators of both VDU workstations. As a result, the invention can be used to provide an arrangement comprising a plurality of computer workstations with a comprehensive rail system.
  • Computer workstations of the type specified above according to the invention can be designed to be curved or curved in plan to optimize the viewing angle on the monitors, and in this case the design of the support and / or guide rails is also curved or curved.
  • Other developments of the invention are specified in the subclaims.
  • The above and other advantages and features of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to some particularly preferred embodiments of computer workstations according to the invention shown in FIGS. 1 to 10 of the drawing; show it:
