Definitions
- the invention relates to a doctor blade according to the preamble of claim 1.
- a doctor blade is known from US-PS 30 84 663.
- doctor rods act as a very precise dosing agent.
- the ribs remaining between the grooves or forming these grooves wear out very quickly during operation. There is therefore an endeavor to produce the doctor rods from the most wear-resistant material, but here the limits are soon reached by the production.
- the object is to produce a doctor blade provided with circumferential grooves, so-called roller doctor blades, with a very wear-resistant surface.
- the disks 2 of smaller diameter consist e.g. made of normal steel, while the disks 1 of the larger diameter preferably consist of ceramic, in particular oxide ceramic.
- the difference in diameter is dimensioned depending on the required depth of the grooves 6. It is generally less than 1.5 mm, with an application of the doctor rod at groove depths of at most 0.2 mm preferably being considered here.
- These grooves are very difficult to manufacture, on the other hand, wear plays a special role here due to the small groove depth.
- Normal, e.g. Doctor rods made entirely of steel have a far too short service life in operation.
- the thickness of the washers is generally between 0.1 and 0.5 mm in these applications.
- the intermediate ring disks 2 are preferably made of an elastic material, for example steel, or a solid aluminum. They can also preferably be made somewhat thicker than the ceramic disks 1. As a result, the entire rod becomes more elastic, so that when the doctor rod deflects, the relatively brittle ceramic disks 1 cannot be overstressed so easily. It can be seen from FIG. 2 that the ceramic disks 1 are fixed in the circumferential direction on the carrier rod 3 by means of a groove 5 and a tongue 4. The whole package from the washers is clamped on both or at one end of the support rod 3, for example by a nut 8. But you can also glue the washers to each other and to the support rod 3.
- Another manufacturing method consists of alternately applying disks 1, 2 made of different materials with the same outside diameter to the support rod 3, clamping them and grinding the outside diameter continuously. Then the spacers 2 can be reduced in their outer diameter by etching to the required groove depth, e.g. partially immerse the squeegee in an etching bath while rotating until the required groove depth is reached. Corresponding material removal by spark erosion or electrochemical erosion is also possible.
- the carrier rod 3 should be made of this material because of the same possible thermal expansion coefficient.

Abstract
Description
Eine solche Rakel ist bekannt aus der US-PS 30 84 663.The invention relates to a doctor blade according to the preamble of
The essentially circumferential surface grooves of these doctor rods act as a very precise dosing agent. However, the ribs remaining between the grooves or forming these grooves wear out very quickly during operation. There is therefore an endeavor to produce the doctor rods from the most wear-resistant material, but here the limits are soon reached by the production.
According to the invention, the object is to produce a doctor blade provided with circumferential grooves, so-called roller doctor blades, with a very wear-resistant surface.
This object is achieved by the features of the characterizing part of
Ein vorteilhaftes Herstellungsverfahren geht aus Anspruch 6 hervor. An advantageous manufacturing method is evident from

On a
The thickness of the washers is generally between 0.1 and 0.5 mm in these applications. The
Another manufacturing method consists of alternately applying
If the
