Claims (8)

  1. Safety anchoring member (8) for a cable (4) on a support (1), the said anchoring member (8) comprising a body (8a, 8b) and a clamping element (8c) defining a passage for the cable (4), the said passage having a section that is variable over at least one portion of the length of the passage, characterised in that the said anchoring member (8) is retained inside said support (1) by releasable locking means, the body (8a, 8b) co-operating with this clamping element (8c) to reduce the section of passage of said cable (4) in order to clamp the cable (4) and in that said anchoring member (8) has at least one stop (12) designed to modify this section by displacing the clamping element (8c) relative to the body (8a, 8b) and moving to bear on this support (1) and on a surface (13) of the element, and said surface (13) having a shape that is designed to increase the section of this passage and release the cable when the locking means release the anchoring member and when sufficient translation of the body relative to this support is imparted, and said surface (13) of the anchoring member (8) has at least one section inclined at a certain angle relative to the oriented axis of translation (OT) of the anchoring member (8), this inclined portion being oriented in the direction (OS) away from the passage, and in that this angle of inclination (alpha) between the oriented axes of translation and the inclined section is an acute angle.
  2. Safety anchoring member as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that said body is designed to displace the said clamping element during translation of this body.
  3. Safety anchoring member as claimed in one of claims 1 or 2, characterised in that release of the locking means of said anchoring member and said cable is actuated by a remote control.
  4. Safety anchoring member as claimed in claim 3, characterised in that said locking means are released under the action of a tractive force exerted by the cable.
  5. Safety anchoring member as claimed in one of claims 2 to 4, characterised in that said locking means comprise a pin that is shearable beyond a certain stress threshold.
  6. Safety anchoring member as claimed in one of claims 2 to 5, characterised in that said surface of the anchoring member is crenellated (13a, 13b) and has at least one indentation (13b) and in that the said stop (12) is designed to penetrate into this indentation when the translational movement is effected.
  7. Safety anchoring member as claimed in one of claims 2 to 6, characterised in that it is designed so that the cable (4) can be introduced into the passage from the side.
  8. Safety anchoring member as claimed in one of claims 2 to 7, characterised in that it has means (14, 16, 17, 18) forming a seal with the interior of this support around the cable.
