Description

The invention relates to a profile for mounting ceiling panels, which comprises two spaced-apart parallel, integrally connected by a bottom section leg bars, of which one leg bar is provided for supporting the ceiling plates and the other leg bar to form a receiving slot for mounting is folded back outwards on a plate part. Furthermore, the invention relates to a ceiling panel system with profiles of this type.

For the wall-side mounting of ceiling panels, double Z profiles are known, which are fastened to the wall with their vertical leg strip and whose opposite horizontal leg strip is provided for supporting the ceiling panels. The horizontal section adjoining the vertical leg strip used for wall mounting is wider and forms the shadow gap. The dimension of the shadow gap or the corresponding profile section is selected according to the respective requirements, ie whether, for example, the attachment of a curtain rail, etc. is provided. A vertical profile section is located between this profile section and the leg strip provided for supporting the ceiling panels. On this vertical profile section, one leg strip of an angle profile is attached, the other leg strip is arranged in parallel and at a distance from the leg strip of the double Z profile provided for supporting the ceiling panels. The ceiling panels are clamped in place by profile springs that are clamped between the two side strips of the Doppe-Z profile and the angle profile. Mineral wool for insulation purposes is located above the ceiling tiles.

A disadvantage of the known step profile is its relatively complex production, because the double Z profile has to be folded three times. In addition, the associated angle profile must be screwed to the double Z profile. In some cases, the profile transitions cannot be realized in the desired smooth manner. Another problem with the known profile is that it is difficult to miter it in the corners of a room and make clean cuts.

Furthermore, a profile for holding ceiling panels is known from US Pat. No. 4,640,064, which has two leg strips arranged parallel to one another at a distance and which are integrally connected to one another by a base section. The lower leg strip is used to support the ceiling panels. The upper leg bar is folded outwards to form a receiving slot. An angled plate part which is fastened to a wall engages in the receiving slot with a relatively large amount of play.

The invention has for its object to provide a profile for mounting ceiling panels of the type mentioned, which ensures a reliable support for the ceiling panels with a given elegant transition to the ceiling panels, allows a firm mounting of the plate part in the receiving slot and is versatile .

This object is achieved in that
  • the leg strip provided for supporting the ceiling panels over part of their width, forming a second layer inwards folded back,
  • bores are provided in the region of the receiving slot for fastening the plate part by means of screws or bolts, and
  • the bottom section has mounting holes.

By folding back the leg strip provided for supporting the ceiling panels over part of their width, forming a second layer to the inside, a reinforcement of the lower leg panel is achieved, as a result of which the support for the ceiling panels can absorb a higher load. In addition, the fold-over of the lower leg strip in the visible transition area to the ceiling panels results in a filigree rounding, which creates a particularly appealing aesthetic impression. The holes provided in the area of the receiving slot for fastening the plate part by means of screws or bolts make it possible to immovably fix the plate part within the receiving slot of the profile, so that a relative movement between the plate part and the profile is excluded with certainty. Due to the mounting holes in the bottom section of the profile, the profile can be attached to a wall as a standard part as required, i.e. without creating a shadow gap. If the profile is not attached directly to a wall, but is used in combination with the plate part as a shadow gap profile, the mounting holes in the floor section serve as ventilation holes.

In certain applications, it is desirable to provide a larger surface area for the ceiling panels. According to a preferred embodiment of the profile according to the invention, the leg strip provided for supporting the ceiling panels then has a greater depth than the other leg strip.

The profile according to the invention can be made of metal. Due to the low bends, its manufacture is very simple. Alternatively, the profile comprising the leg strips and the base section can be made of plastic, for example of polyvinyl chloride (PVC).

A ceiling tile system using the profile is characterized in that a plate, angled rail or a plurality of angular sections arranged at a distance are provided for holding the profile. For example, a simple angle allows the creation of a shadow gap of any width, using standard angle rails. Depending on the requirements, any plates, angle rails or the like can be used as adapter parts, so to speak, while the profile always remains the same. The plate, the angle rail or the angle sections thus serve on the one hand as a supporting substructure for the profiles and on the other hand to compensate for tolerances in the shadow gap without having to change the ceiling tile formats. The costs can be kept so low. The profile can also be easily cut to length by hand. A particularly simple manufacture of the ceiling tile system results from the fact that no continuous rails are used, but rather angular sections arranged at a distance.

If necessary, a sealing strip can be provided between the bottom section and the wall. In this way, for example, dimensional tolerances and joints can also be compensated for, which results in an essentially continuous ceiling surface without wall gaps.

A curtain rail can be formed in one piece on the profile. Alternatively, the plate or angle rail on which the profile is attached can carry a curtain rail.

In order to improve the circulation of air or the air exchange with the space above the ceiling panels, a number of ventilation holes in the panel or angled rail to which the profile is attached is advantageously formed. This is particularly beneficial in connection with air conditioning systems. The profile and the angle rail expediently delimit a space for a roller blind.

In a further embodiment of the invention, the angle rail is provided as a ceiling suspension. In this case, two profiles are preferably arranged mirror-symmetrically for holding two adjacent ceiling panels. In this case, the vertical leg strips are arranged adjacent to one another and the two bottom sections are arranged back to back, so that the leg strips provided for supporting the ceiling panels result in an essentially flat support strip. If, for example, a room dividing element is to be arranged between adjacent ceiling panels, the two profiles are each arranged at a distance from one another, so that the room dividing element with its upper end region comes to bear laterally against the bottom sections of the profiles. The horizontal angle rail is designed to be correspondingly wide.

Another possibility of the room or ceiling design results from the fact that a plate with a curtain rail or a U-profile with a fluorescent tube can be arranged between two adjacent profiles. In this case, the plate advantageously combines the holding function for the two adjacent profiles of the adjacent ceiling plates and at the same time serves to attach room elements. This enables a uniform design of the ceiling tile system.

The ceiling system according to the invention also enables problem-free connection in the area of stairs or other ceiling slopes. In the case of two sloping ceiling panels, two profiles are arranged with floor panels facing each other, the panel part of the angle rail being arranged parallel to the sloping ceiling panel. For example, at the beginning of a staircase, the upper leg strip of the profile is bent upwards, so that there is a gap open downwards between the two profile floor sections. This can be covered, for example, by a wedge-shaped intermediate element. In this case, the angle rail does not need to be specially manufactured, ie the plate section only has to be bent at the desired angle. In the case of a staircase, however, an angle rail with a wider plate part must be used, because the broad side of the wedge between the two profile sections in this case points to the angle rail. There is no gap on the underside between the two profiles, the leg strips of which are intended to support the ceiling panels only run at an angle to one another.

The ceiling system according to the invention is also characterized by appropriate miter attachment. Due to the fact that mitres can be cut very easily, they can be carried out very precisely and at the desired location. In particular, a real miter for adjacent profile elements and a fake miter for adjacent angular rail elements can be provided in each corner of the room.

Der Bodenabschnitt 12 ist mit Montagebohrungen 20 versehen.1 and 2 show a side and a front view of a first exemplary embodiment of a profile 2 made of metal with a ceiling plate 4, the profile 2 being attached directly to a wall 6. The profile 2 is U-shaped and comprises two horizontal leg strips 8, 10, which are spaced parallel to one another and which are integrally connected to one another by a vertical base section 12. The lower leg strip 8, which serves to support the ceiling plate 4, is folded back over part of its width to form a second layer 14. The upper leg strip 10 is folded back outward to form a receiving slot 16 to form a second strip section 18. The bottom section 12 is provided with mounting holes 20.

The edge region of the ceiling plate 4 lies on the second layer 14 of the lower leg strip 8. A tension spring 22 with a curved V-shape is provided to hold the ceiling plate 4 in profile 2. With the curved leg ends, the tension spring 22 rests on the ceiling plate 4 and rests with its central curvature on the upper leg strip 10. According to the dimensions and the rigidity of the tension spring 22, the fixation of the ceiling plate 4 can be adjusted with the desired strength. Alternatively, other fixation methods could also be used. Under certain circumstances, the ceiling plate 4 can also be simply placed on top.

Die Tiefe des Plattenteils 50 ist entsprechend dem gewünschten Schattenprofil gewählt.3 and 4 show a side view and a top view of a second exemplary embodiment of a profile 32. The profile 32 differs from the profile 2 of the first embodiment in that the leg strip 34 provided for supporting the ceiling panels 4 has a greater depth than the upper leg strip 36. The upper leg strip 36 is provided with mounting holes 40 through which a plate part 50 of an angular rail 52 engages in the receiving slot 16 is fastened by means of screws or bolts 42. The angle rail 52 is fastened to the wall 6 with its vertical strip section 54. The depth of the plate part 50 is selected in accordance with the desired shadow profile.

Insbesondere ermöglichen sie den Einsatz von Klimaanlagen, Belüftungssystemen etc..FIG. 5 shows a top view of an alternative embodiment of the illustration according to FIG. 4, in which the plate part 56 of the angle rail 52 has ventilation holes 58. The ventilation holes 58 allow air to circulate between the space above the ceiling panel system and the space below. In particular, they enable the use of air conditioning, ventilation systems, etc.

A further alternative of the ceiling plate system is shown in FIG. 6. Instead of an angular rail 52 as in the exemplary embodiments according to FIGS. 4 and 5, a plurality of angular sections 60 arranged at a distance are provided for holding the profile 32.

In the exemplary embodiment of the ceiling plate system shown in FIG. 7, an angle rail 70 is provided for holding the profile 2, the plate part 72 of which has a smaller depth than the plate part 50 or 56. The profile 2 thus arranged closer to the wall is covered by a sealing strip 74 towards the wall 6. The sealing strip 74 serves for insulation, for supporting the base section 12 and as an optical closure of the profile 2 against the wall 6.

In dem hierdurch vorgesehenen Schattenprofil ist eine Gardinenschiene 94 am Plattenteil 90 angebracht.8 shows a further exemplary embodiment of the ceiling plate system. The profile 2 is pushed onto a plate part 90 of an angle rail 92, the depth of which is greater than the depth of the plate parts previously described. In the shadow profile provided in this way, a curtain rail 94 is attached to the plate part 90.

The profile 2 shown in FIG. 9 is attached to a horizontal plate part of a Z-angle rail 122. The Z-angle rail 122 is dimensioned such that the profile 2 and the Z-angle rail 122 have a space for one Limit roller blind.

The profile 2 shown in FIG. 10 is attached to a plate part 130 of an angle rail 132, the other section 132 of which extends vertically upwards towards a ceiling.

Diese Profilanordnung dient zur Halterung benachbarter Deckenplatten 4.11 shows a combination of two profiles 2 with angle rails 132. The profiles 2 are arranged mirror-symmetrically to one another, as are the angle rails 132, the vertical sections of the profiles 2 and angle rails 132 each abutting one another. This profile arrangement serves to hold adjacent ceiling panels 4.

The combination of two profiles 2 illustrated in FIG. 12 is similar to the profile combination of FIG. 11. However, the horizontal plate part 140 of the angle rail 142 has a greater depth, so that 2 space is provided between the two profiles for the installation of a space separating element, not shown .

Die Platte 152 trägt eine Gardinenschiene 94.FIG. 13 shows a further combined arrangement of two profiles 2, between which there is a plate 152 with a ceiling-side suspension, not shown. The plate 152 carries a curtain rail 94.

Das U-Profil 160 trägt eine Leuchtstoffröhre 164.In the arrangement shown in FIG. 14, the profiles 2 are each attached to the laterally angled plate parts 162 of a U-profile 160. The U-profile 160 carries a fluorescent tube 164.

Fig. 15 zeigt eine weitere Kombination zweier Profile 2. While the left ceiling plate 4 runs horizontally, the right ceiling plate 4a is inclined upwards to the right side. Accordingly, the left angle rail 132 is provided with a horizontal plate part 130, while the right angle rail 172 has a plate part 170 which extends parallel to the inclined ceiling plate 4a.

Accordingly, the plate part 180 of the angle rail 182 is arranged parallel to the inclined ceiling plate 4b. To compensate for the greater distance between the base plates 38 of the profiles 2, the depth of the plate part 180 is greater in the upper region than in the illustration according to FIG. 15.

In Fig. 18 ist eine ähnliche Anordnung für eine Raumecke mit stumpfem Winkel veranschaulicht.17 shows the arrangement of a ceiling tile system in the area of a room corner. While the angle rails 190 are arranged with wrong miter in the corner area, i.e. butt joints, the profiles are cut with a real miter. 18 shows a similar arrangement for a corner of the room with an obtuse angle.
