Claims (7)
- A device for cutting wiping materials stored in an apparatus ensuring their automatic dispensing in the form of a narrow strip, concertina folded, by passage between folding and driving means, constituted by two profiled metallic blades with cutting edge (5) and (6) mounted with resilient articulation between two pairs (1-2) and (3-4) for driving the folded material, at a point determined so that, by rotation of the said pairs, the blades are superimposed progressively from one end to the other as the rotation proceeds while remaining in permanent contact with pressure and in position substantially parallel to the axes of rotation of the pairs of cogwheels throughout the duration of the cutting in order to cut by shearing the folded strip of the material introduced between the said pairs and driven by manual traction on the strip projecting from the apparatus producing the rotation of the pairs, the device is characterised in that it is associated with a pusher component (20-23) acting when the two cutting blades come into contact and liberate an energy stored during the rotation of the pairs of cogwheels, this additional energy being transmitted directly to one of the said pairs producing its driving in rotation and in that the pusher component is constituted by a lever (20) with double articulation closely associated with a cam (25) borne by the rotational shaft of one of the pairs of cogwheels, the said cam being profiled and orientated angularly so as firstly to tighten a spring (26) connecting the push rod (23) of the lever (20) to a fixed point between the rest position of the pairs of cogwheels and the position where the cutting blades come into contact, and then to free the lever which can then act through its rod (23) on the pair of cogwheels opposite to that which bears the cam in order to drive it in rotation.
- The device according to Claim 1, characterised in that the lever (20) interacts with the cam (25) through the intermediary of a roller or similar component (24).
- The device according to Claim 1, characterised in that the push rod (23) articulated to the lever (20) interacts with the pair of cogwheels to be driven through the intermediary of a projecting stud (30) integral with the said pair and disposed so as firstly to lower the said rod in opposition to the spring (26) and then to pass in front of the said rod and to be pushed under the effect of relaxation of the said spring when the roller (24) enters an indentation (25a) of the cam.
- The device according to Claim 1, characterised in that the cam (25) has a stop heel butting against the roller (24) after the cutting, in order to finish detaching the pulled strip of material.
- The device according to Claim 1, characterised in that one of the cutting blades (5 or 6) is positioned in adjustable manner on its pair of cogwheels so as to modify the spacing with the other blade as a function of the type of wiping material used.
- The device according to Claim 5, characterised in that the adjustment of one of the cutting blades is obtained by a blade holder (31) articulated on one of the pairs of cogwheels; the said blade holder having an aperture (31a) in which can be moved in rotation an eccentric (33) centred on the said pair and acting on the blade holder.
- The device according to Claim 1, characterised in that the cutting blades (5 and 6) are curved in their length in order to improve the cutting.
