  • applicant of the present application has developed a novel self-seal type buffer material which has a flat shape before use and, when inflated by air, has several portions thereof bulging variably and independently in which air blown from outside is confined by a self-seal type valve formed in respetive bulged portions.

Likewise, any air bags received in larger spaces after or downstream of smaller space can be fully inflated to their own limits irrespective of insuffidiently inflated upstream air bag. Further, any of inflated air bags in series can be taken out by cutting at any desired linking portions without affecting all other bags independently inflated.

Abstract

Feuille d'amortissement gonflable du type auto-scellant, comprenant une série de poches d'air individuelles composées d'un matériau thermoscellable, pouvant se gonfler losqu'on insuffle de l'air dans la feuille mais présentant normalement une forme plate, et au moins un tube d'introduction d'air pénétrant à travers les poches d'air, auxquelles il est relié par thermoscellage, et pourvu d'une valve du type auto-scellant composée d'une fente ou encoche à un endroit situé à l'intérieur de la poche d'air individuelle. Lorsqu'on introduit de l'air à partir de l'extrémité du tube d'introduction d'air, chaque poche d'air se gonfle indépendamment des autres en fonction de ses limites admissibles. Les poches d'air individuelles gonflées compriment le tube d'introduction d'air avec des pressions internes, de sorte que les fentes ou encoches sont poussées vers les surfaces opposées du tube et forment les clapets de non-retour du type auto-scellable. La feuille d'amortissement ci-décrite est introduite à plat dans des interstices de taille irrégulière et, lorsqu'elle est gonflée, les poches d'air individuelles se gonflent indépendamment en fonction de la taille de l'interstice dans lequel la feuille est introduite, ce qui permet d'utiliser cette dernière comme support ou amortissement fiable et d'emploi aisé. Aussi longtemps que chaque valve du type auto-scellable fonctionne, une poche d'air n'est pas perturbée par l'endommagement ou la coupure d'une autre poche d'air.
