Description

  • The invention relates to a connection device for water fittings with the features specified in the preamble of claim 1.
    Such a connection device is known from the document DE-A-37 23 828. In this connection device, a one-piece rosette can be pushed onto a thickened part of the housing on the fitting. However, this rosette can represent a not inconsiderable handicap in connection work.
    Also known from US-A-2 594 843 is a rosette or spherical hood for riser pipes for covering the passages in building ceilings. Here, a ring can be attached to the riser pipe, on which the hood can be held with two axial rods and a coil spring, the hood being pressed against the building ceiling by the coil spring.
    This device is relatively complicated and requires a relatively large amount of space due to the helical spring. In addition, use with pipelines entering at an angle to the building ceiling is likely to be problematic.
  • The invention has for its object to improve the wall cover for a connecting device with the features of the preamble of claim 1.
  • This object is achieved with the characterizing features of claim 1. Further refinements of the invention are specified in claims 2 to 12.
    The advantages that can be achieved with the invention are, in particular, that the rosette provided for the wall covering is completely unaffected by the connection work the tap can be removed. With the help of the holder, the rosette can also be adapted exactly to the special conditions of a building wall. With the help of the screws it is ensured that the rosette with a sealing ring, for example made of foam rubber, bears against the building wall, so that a secure seal is guaranteed both on the wall and on the stem of the fitting, which is particularly important for building walls with a lightweight construction .
    In addition, the holder additionally offers the possibility of leading it radially out of the area of the cover rosette and providing it with a bracket for the storage of a hand shower etc. The cover rosette can expediently be made of plastic, so that the insert part can also be manufactured inexpensively and with a precise fit. In addition, when the rosette is manufactured using the injection molding process, relatively simple means enable the insertion part to be locked in the plug-in position in the rosette.
  • An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing and is explained in more detail below. It shows

  • The connection device shown in Figure 2 is formed by a connector 1, a tap fitting 2, a rosette 3 and a holder 4.
    The connector 1 is arranged in a building wall and connected to the supply pipes 11 for cold and hot water. In the connector 1, a pre-cut valve 12 is arranged for the cold and hot water. The connector 1 can therefore be acted upon by the water pressure of the supply line network without the tap fitting having to be connected. The connector 1 is usually installed in the building wall during the shell construction phase and at a later time when the building walls are plastered and tiled, tap fittings 2 are optionally connected after removing an installation template attached to the connector 1. The tap 2 is inserted with a flange 22 in a receptacle 13 on the connector 1 with the interposition of a seal and tightly fixed with screws 23 which are screwed into threaded holes 14.
    To cover and seal the opening 51 in the building wall 5, a rosette 3, which can be fastened to the tap fitting with a holder 4, is provided. The holder 4 is constructed in the manner of a pipe clamp and in two parts, a ring 44 made of plastic being arranged between the holder 4 and the tap fitting 2, the lateral surface 441 of which is spherical, so that angular deviations between the axis of the tap fitting 2 and the building wall 5 can be compensated for. On one half of the holder 4, a U-shaped hook 42 is formed, into which the other half can be hung with a meandering part 43, so that the holder 4 can be clamped on the tap fitting 2 with a clamping screw 41. The holder 4 is guided radially out of the rosette 3 and has a storage bracket 45 for a hand shower in this area. The keeper 4 is provided with radially protruding elements, such as storage brackets 45 and / or specially designed brackets 47, which come into contact with the surface of the building wall 5 when it is moved on the cylindrical housing and thus limit the displaceability. The rosette 3 has corresponding recesses for receiving the above elements, so that a good seal with respect to the building wall 5 can be achieved with a sealing ring 35, for example made of foam rubber, but the introduction of harmful voltages for the rosette material is avoided.
    After the holder 4 has been fastened, the rosette 3 can be pushed radially over the housing of the tap fitting 2 with the aid of a radial slot 33. For a good seal, a sealing ring 21 is slidably arranged on the housing of the tap fitting 2, onto which the rosette 3 with the radial slot 33 is pushed. An insert 31 can then be inserted radially into the rosette 3 to seal the radial slot 33. Here, guides 32 are formed on the insert part 31 and the rosette 32 for holding purposes. To secure the insertion part 31 in the plug-in position, snap lugs (not shown in the drawing) can be formed on the rosette 3 and / or the insertion part 31 for latching. Thereafter, the rosette 3 can be fastened to the holder 4 in threaded holes 46 with the screws 34 and brought into contact with the sealing ring 35 on the building wall 5, so that the opening 51 in the building wall 5 is covered tightly and in an appealing form, such as it can be seen in particular from FIG. 2 of the drawing.

Claims (12)

  1. A connecting device for water supply fittings having, arranged in or on the wall (5) of a building etc., a connecting piece (1) to which the water supply pipes (11) can be connected, and to which the supply fitting (2) projecting from the wall (5) of the building can be fastened, characterised in that the supply fitting (2) has an approximately cylindrical housing part on which can be fastened a retaining means (4) which is in the form of a pipe clip, divided in the diameter, and onto which a rose (3) can be fixed for concealing and sealing the connecting piece (1) in the wall (5) of the building, there being arranged between the supply fitting (2) and the retaining means (4) a ring (44) which has a spherically curved outer surface (441) so that deviations in angle between the supply fitting (2) and the wall (5) of the building can be compensated.
  2. A connecting device according to Claim 1, characterised in that the rose (3) has a radial slot (33), so that it can be pushed radially over the housing part of the supply fitting and the open slot region can be closed with a push-in part (31).
  3. A connecting device according to Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the two halves of the pipe clip type retaining means (4) are connected on one side in the manner of a hinge and on the other side are arranged to be pressed together with a tensioning screw (41).
  4. A connecting device according to Claim 3, characterised in that the hinge-like connection is effected by means of a U-shaped hook (42) which is formed on one half and in which the other half can be anchored by a labyrinth-type part (43).
  5. A connecting device according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the ring (44) is made of plastics material.
  6. A connecting device according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the rose (3) is arranged to be fastened to the retaining means (4) by screws (34).
  7. A connecting device according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the retaining means (4) is led radially out of the region of the rose (3) and has a holding bracket (45) for a hand-held shower.
  8. A connecting device according to one of Claims 1 to 7, characterised in that a sealing ring (21) is provided to receive the rose (3) on the supply fitting (2) in a leaktight manner.
  9. A connecting device according to one of Claims 1 to 8, characterised in that the rose (3) is produced from plastics material and the push-in part (31) is held in the rose (3) by guides (32).
  10. A connecting device according to one of Claims 1 to 9, characterised in that the push-in part (31) is engaged in the rose (3) by snap-in tongues in the insertion position.
  11. A connecting device according to one of Claims 1 to 10, characterised in that the retaining means (4) is arranged to be pushed on the cylindrical housing part so that different depths of installation in relation to the surface of the wall (5) of the building can be compensated.
  12. A connecting device according to one of Claims 1 to 11, characterised in that the retaining means (4) has radially projecting elements so that the retaining means (4), on displacement on the housing part, comes to a stop at the surface of the wall (5) of the building and thus limits the amount of displacement possible, and the rose (3) has corresponding recesses so that with the sealing ring (35) a seal is obtained on the wall (5) of the building but the introduction of tensions which are damaging to the material of the rose are avoided.
