Hierzu werden im Druckformzylinder 18 und auf der Rückseite des Transferbandes 19 ein Paar Magnete 26 angeordnet. Statt der Magnete 26 kann auch auf der Rückseite des Transferbandes 19 eine Elektrode angeordnet sein. Diese Elektrode und der Druckformzylinder werden so mit einer Spannung beaufschlagt, daß sich ein die Substanzübertragung unterstützendes elektrisches Feld ausbildet. Die Bildabgabeeinheit 25 wird vorzugsweise durch eine beheizbare Transfertrommel 29 gebildet, die - wie in Fig. 2 c dargestellt - nach Einrasten der Cassette 30 vor einem Druckformzylinder an die Rückseite des Tansferbandes 19 anstellbar ist. Eine andere, nicht dargestellte Variante, besteht darin, eine Bildabgabeeinheit in jede Cassette zu integrieren und beim Einrasten derselben vor einem Druckformzylinder gleichzeitig eine Kopplung zu einer Energiequelle herzustellen.The substance parts are delivered to the printing form cylinder 18 by thermal action on the back of the transfer belt 19 by means of an image delivery unit 25 (FIG. 2 c). Claims (16)

  1. A device for integrated forme production on an offset printing machine with at least one forme cylinder (4,18), whose provision with images occurs through point-by-point material transfer of a meltable substance affecting the colour/water affinity in a manner corresponding to a point-by-point effect of energy by means of an electronically controlled picture element transfer unit (9,17), characterised in that arranged between the picture element transfer unit (9,17) and the forme cylinder (4,18) there is a transfer band (10,19), on which, via the former, a substance coating results which is adequate for the image, and in that an image delivery unit (16,25) can be set against the forme cylinder/s (4,18), which unit, through the linear or areal effect of energy on the transfer band (10,19), effects a delivery of the substance from the transfer band (10,19) to the forme cylinder/s (4,18).
  2. A device according to claim 1, characterised in that the transfer band (10) and/or the image delivery unit (16,25) are able to be swivelled and/or moved at least in a plane which is perpendicular to the axis of the forme cylinder (4,18).
  3. A device according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the transfer band (10) is formed as a continuous band.
  4. A device according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the picture element transfer unit (17) is completely separate spatially from the forme cylinder (18) and the transfer band (19) is arranged in a replaceable cassette (30).
  5. A device according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the picture element transfer unit (9,17) is formed as a thermo-transfer printing unit fitted with heating heads and a film (11,24) coated on the side of the transfer band is arranged in such a manner that it can be reeled off between the heating heads and the transfer band (10,19).
  6. A device according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the provision of images on the transfer band (10,19) occurs from a picture element transfer unit (9,17), which, according to the method of electrophotography, electrography or magnetography produces firstly an image charge on the transfer band (10,19) which is adequate for the image, said image charge being developed in an adjacent coating device by means of a substance similar to toner to form an image, producing a printing forme.
  7. A device according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the picture element transfer unit (9,17) is formed by a unit spraying the substance onto the transfer band (10,19) according to a melting-spraying method, the unit being similar in construction to an ink-jet printer.
  8. A device according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that at least one layer of the transfer band (10,19) carrying the substance parts is made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE).
  9. A device according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that at least one layer of the transfer band (10,19) is made of a material able to be compressed in thickness.
  10. A device according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the image delivery unit (16,25) is formed by a heatable roller.
  11. A device according to claim 10, characterised in that the roller (16,25) is mounted so that the transfer band (10,19) is able to be pressed by it onto the forme cylinder (4,18).
  12. A device according to one of claims 10 or 11, characterised in that arranged close to the roller (16) on the rear side of the transfer band (19) and in the interior of the forme cylinder (18) there is a pair of fixed magnets or an electrode (26), which, with a substance pigmented ferromagnetically or with charge-carrying or polarised particles, assist the transfer of the substance onto the forme cylinder in a magnetic or electrostatic manner.
  13. A device according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the forme cylinder (4,18) has a seamless ceramic surface.
  14. A method for integrated forme production on an offset printing machine with at least one forme cylinder (4,18), whose provision with images occurs through point-by-point material transfer of a meltable substance affecting the colour/water affinity, in a manner corresponding to a point-by-point effect of energy, by means of an electronically controlled picture element transfer unit (9,17), characterised by the following method steps:
    a) an electronically stored printing image is read-out point-by-point from a memory and conveyed to a picture element transfer unit (9,17),
    b) the picture element transfer unit (9,17) conveys the substance, in a manner corresponding to the image, point-by-point through the effect of energy on to a transfer band (10,19) moving past it in line steps,
    c) after finishing one or several printing images on the transfer band (10,19) this is guided by way of an image delivery unit (16,25), which is able to be set selectively onto different forme cylinders (4,18),
    d) the image delivery unit (16,25) transfers the accumulation of the substance deposited on the transfer band (10,19) onto the forme cylinder (4,18), linearly or areally through the effect of energy.
  15. A method according to claim 14, characterised in that after completed transfer of the forme the image delivery unit (16,25) and the transfer band (10,19) are separated from the forme cylinder (4,18) and during the production run a further printing image is transferred to another forme cylinder (4,18) or the transfer band (10,19) is provided anew with images by the picture element transfer unit (9,17).
  16. A method for clearing a printing image on a forme cylinder produced according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that after the end of printing the printing image on the forme cylinder (4,18) is cleared by heating or chemical dissolving with a subsequent mechanical removal of the substance residue and the forme cylinder is ready to receive a new form.
