Zur Montage beispielsweise einer Ausstattungsarmatur wird diese mit ihren Halteteilen an einer vorher bestimmten Stelle einer Wand oder einer sonstigen Fläche aufgedrückt und danach wieder abgezogen. Aufgrund der stärkeren Klebwirkung der wandseitigen Beschichtung verbleibt das Klebeband an der Wand oder der sonstigen Fläche. Dabei ist die Klebwirkung der wand­seitigen Beschichtung vorzugsweise um ein Mehrfaches stärker als die Klebwirkung der halteteilseitigen Beschichtung. Durch die an der Wand verbleibenden Klebebänder hindurch werden die Bohrungen in die dahinterliegende Wand eingebracht. Diese Bohrungen und die in der Regel darin eingebrachten Dübel befin­den sich in einem exakten Abstand zu den Schraublöchern der Halteteile der zugehörigen Ausstattungsarmatur oder dergleichen. Nach der Anbringung der Bohrungen können die Klebebänder bei der Montage des zu befestigenden Gegenstandes an der Wand verbleiben.
