Description

The invention makes items of clothing available with flat, flexible, pressure-stable ventilation layer material according to claim 1.

You often come into direct or indirect contact with breathable or weak breathable materials, which leads to the formation of sweat at the corresponding part of the body.

The first example is rain jackets or raincoats with a waterproof and airtight outer layer. Such items of clothing are often lined with a textile lining. If the outer layer of the garment is not permeable to air and water, the moisture cannot escape to the outside, but is absorbed by the lining. Since the lining is not ventilated due to the air impermeability of the outer layer of the item of clothing, the lining cannot dry, but becomes sweaty, which leads to an uncomfortable feeling and causes a feeling of cold.

A second example is hats, helmets and hats that are provided with an air-impermeable outer layer. In this case, too, perspiration moisture arises during wear, which cannot be released to the outside, but instead leads to the area of the hat, helmet or hat lying against the head becoming damp. In this case, too, uncomfortable wearing habits arise again , especially a feeling of cold.

In all of these and similar other cases, remedial measures can be taken by providing ventilation layer material according to the invention. Characterized in that this ventilation layer material in the longitudinal direction conductive air channels and associated and in the transverse direction up to at least one of its surfaces reaching air channels, air can reach all areas lined with the ventilation layer material. This allows sweat moisture to evaporate and dissipate. The ventilation effect is often increased by the fact that the item of clothing provided with the ventilation layer material is frequently moved during its use, which leads to a pumping effect in the ventilation layer material, by means of which the ventilation behavior is increased.

The orientation of the ventilation layer material is expediently such that the longitudinal air guide channels are directed along the clothing item to an open or non-body area of the clothing item, while the transverse air guide channels are directed toward the body surface.

The ventilation layer material can be structured entirely differently, for example open-pore, rib-like, nubbed, provided with webs, three-dimensional in a network or the like. It is only important that longitudinal air ducts and transverse air ducts connected to them channels up to at least one surface. Applications of the ventilation layer material according to the invention are in particular stockings, hats, caps, raincoats, rain jackets and rain pants.

With many items of clothing, it can already lead to a considerable improvement in the load-bearing capacity if they are only partially lined with the ventilation layer material, for example in raincoats in the shoulder area, in rain pants in the knee, waistband and crotch area, in hats, helmets and hats in the area of head contact, for stockings in the sole and foot area.

In addition to the ventilation effect, the ventilation layer material has other advantages. One such advantage is the cushioning effect, which can be very pleasant in the case of hats, helmets and hats, for example. Another advantage is the achievement of a flexible stiffening to prevent lumpiness, for example a hat, which then better maintains its desired shape.

To a certain extent, the ventilation layer material should be pressure-stable. This means that it should not lose its ventilation function under the pressure load which occurs during normal use of the item of clothing provided with the ventilation layer material. This means that at such a normal loading pressure, the air ducts should retain their shape to such an extent that they can still conduct sufficient ventilation air.

The ventilation layer material can be made of a suitable plastic.
Examples include polyamide, polypropylene and polyester, in monofilament or multifilament form, woven or knitted, or in the form of reticulated foam made from such a material.

The ventilation layer material according to the invention is also particularly suitable in combination with a water-impermeable and water vapor-permeable microporous functional layer, as has recently been used for waterproof but nevertheless breathable clothing items. Such a functional layer opens up the possibility that body moisture can be dissipated through the functional layer. If, however, there is only air-impermeable material beyond the functional layer, this moisture cannot be carried on and thus builds up, which can lead to the body moisture not being carried away from the body. However, if ventilation layer material is arranged between the side of the functional layer facing away from the body and the air-impermeable outer material according to the invention, the air supply to the outside of the functional layer is made possible and the body moisture is removed as a result of the ventilation effect.

Advantageous developments of the invention are specified in claims 2 to 12.

  • Fig. 1 eine Ausführungsform eines erfindungsgemäßen Ventilationsschichtmaterials;
  • Fig. 3 eine schmatische ausschnittsweise Querschnittsdarstellung eines Hutes.
The invention will now be explained in more detail by means of embodiments. The drawings show:

  • 2 shows a schematic, partial cross-sectional representation through the layer structure of a raincoat; and
  • Fig. 3 is a schematic cross-sectional representation of a hat.

Feuchtigkeit, die sich unterhalb oder oberhalb des Ventilationsschichtmaterials bildet, kann über die Querluftleitkanäle 21 oder 23 und die Längsluftleitkanäle 19 abgeführt werden.1 shows an exemplary embodiment of a ventilation layer material that can be used according to the invention in a schematic, greatly enlarged manner. In this case, three delta-shaped bundled longitudinal webs 13 each form a spacer 11. A plurality of spacers 11, which are arranged essentially parallel and at a distance from one another, are provided on their underside by means of a plurality of transverse webs which run transversely with respect to the spacers 11, are spaced apart and essentially parallel to one another 17 connected. The spaces between two adjacent spacers 11 form longitudinal air guiding channels 19. Connected therewith are transverse air guiding channels 21, 23, wherein the transverse air guiding channels 23 are likewise formed by the spaces between the spacers 11 and air flowing through the longitudinal air guiding channels 19 to that in FIG. 1 above that Guide spacer 11 located level. The cross air guide channels 21 are formed by the spaces between the cross bars 17 and flow through the longitudinal air guide channels 19 air to the lower side of the ventilation layer material in FIG. 1. Moisture that forms below or above the ventilation layer material can be removed via the transverse air guide channels 21 or 23 and the longitudinal air guide channels 19.

A schematic, partial cross-sectional representation of the layer structure of a raincoat is shown in FIG. 2. From the outside to the body side, the raincoat has a waterproof, water vapor-impermeable outer material 31, a ventilation layer material 3 and a lining material 33. The ventilation layer material 3 is oriented in such a way that its longitudinal air ducts lead to a free end or end region of the raincoat or at least to an area of the raincoat that is not in contact with the body during normal wear. The associated transverse air guide channels are directed towards the lining material 33 and thus towards the body side.

The shoulder, chest and back area of a raincoat will preferably be lined with ventilation layer material 3. However, it can also be advantageous to guide the ventilation layer material 3 to its lower end on the back of the jacket. This ensures that in the event that the raincoat is worn while sitting, the ventilation function is given for all parts of the body to which the raincoat is pressed while sitting in a seat.

Fig. 3 shows a schematic, sectional sectional view of a hat, which is provided with ventilation layer material. The hat has a hat outer material 35, which is provided in the usual way on the inside with a headband 37. Between the outer hat material 35 and the headband 37 there is a ventilation layer material 33 which is oriented such that the longitudinal air guide channels run parallel to the outer hat material and the associated transverse air guide channels are directed to the headband 37 and thus to the head of the hat wearer.
