Definitions
- the invention relates to a collecting and folding cylinder according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the invention is based on the object of developing a collecting and folding cylinder in such a way that a changeover between the production types can be controlled from a central control panel without a clutch being swung in and out.
- FIG. 1 shows a conventional folder in which an incoming printing material web 1 receives its first longitudinal fold via a former roll 2 and a former 3.
- the inlet rollers 4 arranged at the lower end of the former are usually followed by a pair of pull rollers 5, a transverse perforation 6 and a pair of pull rollers 7 combined with a longitudinal perforation.
- the folding and collecting cylinder 9 which is essential for the invention, has the task of grasping the longitudinally folded web at its front edge with pin needles 10 and, in the case of non-collecting production, after the web section has been separated from an adjacent cutting cylinder 11 in order to guide the folding and collecting cylinder around , until a folding knife 12 also arranged approximately in the middle of the web section on this cylinder 9 gives the web section a transverse fold and presses it into an open folding jaw 13 of an adjacent folding jaw cylinder 14.
- a web section is held by the puncture needle 10 again around the folding and collecting cylinder 9 up to the takeover point.
- the collecting and folding cylinder 9 is equipped with three pin needle systems 10 and three folding blades 12.
- the units arranged downstream of the folding jaw cylinder in the direction of the folding product flow have been omitted, since they are of no importance for the understanding of the invention.
- Fig. 2 the drive side of the folding and collecting cylinder 9 is shown enlarged in longitudinal section.
- the puncture needles 10, not shown in this FIG., And the folding knives 12 are - as can be seen from FIGS. 3 and 4 - moved in the radial direction via roller levers 15, 16.
- the rollers of the roller levers 15, 16 run on control cams in a spring-loaded manner. Since the movement of both the puncture needles 10 and the folding knife 12 in the case of collective or non-collective production has to take place at different frequencies, the control cams in question are each composed of a fixed and a driven cam, the driven cam being used to switch between these two types of production is also rotatable in its relative angular position with respect to the drive gear.
- the folding and collecting cylinder 9 is mounted on the drive side with a shaft 17 in a bushing 19 which is fixedly connected to a machine side wall 18.
- the end of the bushing 19 surrounding the shaft 17 is double-walled by a recess 21.
- a folding knife cam disk 23 is firmly connected on the end face.
- a puncture cam 25 is firmly connected on the end face.
- the shaft 17 is fixedly connected outside the machine side wall 18 to a drive gear 20, which in turn is driven by the main drive (not shown) of the machine.
- a shaft 26 is rotatably mounted, but axially fixed.
- the shaft 26 has a cylindrical section 27 on its end protruding on the outside of the machine side wall 18 and then a further section, designed as a worm 28, whose outside diameter is slightly smaller than that of the cylindrical section 27.
- a hollow pinion 29 is mounted, the external toothing 30 of which is in engagement with the drive gear 20.
- the hollow pinion 29 continues outwards in the form of a hollow cylindrical projection 31 with a larger diameter.
- the wall of this hollow cylindrical extension 31 has two radially running bores 32, 33, which are offset by 180 ° and opposite one another.
- the axles 34, 35 of two roller bolts 36, 37 are held in the bores 32, 33 with an axial fixation 38, 39.
- the rollers 40, 41 which are mounted on the roller bolts 36, 37 so as to be rotatable but axially fixed, are in engagement with one flank of the worm 28, which in the example shown is of two-thread construction.
- the inner ring of a roller bearing 43 is mounted on the outside of the housing of the hollow cylindrical projection 31 in an annular recess 42.
- the inner ring is axially held on the inside facing the machine side wall 18 by a collar 44 formed on the hollow cylindrical extension 31 and on the opposite outside by a cover 45 connected to the end of the hollow cylindrical extension 31.
- the outer ring of the roller bearing 43 is surrounded by a recess 46, which is provided in the upper part of a sliding plate 47.
- the recess 46 is bounded to the outside by a collar 48, which is also arranged on the sliding plate 47 and extends radially inwards.
- the outer ring of the roller bearing 43 is fixed in its axial position on the outside by this collar 48 and on the inside by a cover 49 screwed on the end face to the sliding plate 47.
- the sliding plate 47 has in its lower part an internally threaded bore 50.
- This threaded bore 50 is penetrated by a threaded spindle 52 which is partially equipped with a corresponding external thread 51 and which, in its central region, is rotatably but axially fixed in a cover 53 flanged to the bushing 19.
- the threaded spindle has means for non-positive connection with a drive means that can be coupled outside the cover 53.
- the end of the threaded spindle 52 is designed as a hollow spindle with a groove 54 for receiving a key 55. With this key 55, the drive shaft 56 of an electric servomotor 57 serving as a drive means is in engagement.
- the shaft 26 has a pinion 58 connected to it in a rotationally fixed manner beyond the bearing in the machine side wall 18.
- This pinion 58 is in engagement with a toothed ring 59 which is formed on one end of a bush 60.
- the socket 60 is arranged in the recess 21 between the inner wall 22 and the outer wall 24 of the socket 19 with a corresponding play to the outer wall 24. It is rotatably mounted on the outside of the inner wall 22 of the double-walled part of the bushing 19 and axially fixed.
- the bushing 60 is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a pin curve cover disk 61 and a folding knife curve cover disk 62.
- the cover disks 61 and 62 which can be adjusted in the circumferential direction, are arranged with respect to their axial position between the fixed rebate cam 23 and the likewise stationary cam 25 such that the two disks 23 and 62 controlling the movement of the rebate blades 12 by means of their outer contour via the roller lever 15 and the two discs 25 and 61 controlling the movement of the puncture needles 10 are each adjacent to one another by means of their outer contour via the roller lever 16.
- the roller levers 15, 16 can be made lighter, narrower and thus simpler than the known prior art.
- roller levers 15, 16 shown circumferentially offset in FIG. 2 are each equipped with two rollers 151, 152 or 161, 162 mounted separately on a common axis, of which one roller 151 or 161 on the circumferential contour of the fixed cam 23 or 25 and the other roller 162 or 152 rolls on the circumferential contour of the driven cover disk 61 or 62.
- FIG. 3 shows the circumferential contours of the fixed pin cam 25 and the driven pin curve cover disk 61 in cooperation with a roller lever 16 moving a pin needle system 10.
- the roller lever 16 is arranged with its pivot point 63 on an axis mounted in the collecting and folding cylinder 9. It carries at one end several puncture needles 10 distributed over the width of the cylinder 9. Between the puncture needle 10 and the pivot point 63, the common axis for the rollers 161, 162 rolling on the contours of the disks 25 and 61 is arranged in the roller lever 16.
- Both the curve cam plate 25 and the curve cover plate 61 have peripheral regions with a smaller diameter 64 and a larger diameter 65. Since the dotted curve disk 25 is fixed relative to the machine side wall 18 and the dotted curve cover disk 61 is driven at a speed which differs from the speed of the cylinder 9, in the present case at 75 times, due to the transmission ratio in the gears 20, 30, 58 and 59 the roller levers 16 rotating at the speed of the cylinder 9 have a different relative speed with respect to the two disks 25, 61. Due to the arrangement of the rollers 161, 162 on the one-sided roller lever 16, the puncture needles 10 are in the extended state when at least one of the rollers 161 or 162 moves on the larger diameter 65 of one of the two disks 25, 61. In contrast, the puncture needles 10 are always in the retracted state when both rollers 161, 162 move simultaneously on the smaller diameter 64 of the disks 25, 61.
- roller lever 15 which moves a folding blade system 12.
- the roller lever 15 is arranged with no pivot point 66 on an axis mounted in the collecting and folding cylinder 9. At one end it carries a folding knife 12 which extends over the entire width of the cylinder 9.
- Both the folding knife cam disk 23 and the folding knife cam cover disk 62 have peripheral regions with a smaller diameter 67 and a larger diameter 68.
- the folding knife cam plate 23 is fixed in relation to the machine side wall 18 and the folding knife curve cover plate 62 is driven at a speed which differs from the speed of the cylinder 9 - in the example 0.75 times - due to the gear ratio in the gears 20, 30, 58 and 59, the roller levers 15 rotating at the speed of the cylinder 9 have a different relative speed compared to the two disks 23, 62. Due to the arrangement of the rollers 151, 152 on the two-sided roller lever 15, the folding blade 12 is in the extended state when both rollers 151, 152 move simultaneously on the smaller diameter 67 of the disks 23, 62. The folding knife 12, on the other hand, is in the retracted state when at least one of the rollers 151, 152 rolls on the larger diameter 68 of one of the disks 23, 62.
- the drive of the collecting and folding cylinder 9 takes place via the Drive gear 20 and the shaft 17.
- the drive of the folding knife cam cover plate 62 and the pin curve cover plate 61 takes place from the drive gear 20 via the external toothing 30 of the hollow pinion 29, the cylindrical extension 31 and the roller bolts 36, 37 on the worm 28 and thus the Shaft 26.
- Via the pinion 58 and the ring gear 59, the drive is transferred to the bushing 60 to which the disks 61 and 62 are connected.
- the worm 28 is rotated independently of the drive train by an axial displacement of the displacement plate 47 via the hollow cylindrical extension 31 and the roller bolts 36, 37. This changes the relative angular position of the driven disks 61, 62 with respect to the fixed disks 23, 25.
- the circumferential regions with smaller and larger diameters thereby meet at different times than in simple production, which means the collection of two folded copies mentioned above and their common Cross folding is enabled.
- the axial displacement of the sliding plate 47 takes place in the preferred embodiment shown starting from the drive by the electric servomotor 57 via the drive shaft 56 and the threaded spindle 52, the external thread 51 of which causes an axial movement of the non-rotating sliding plate 47 when rotating via the internal thread in the bore 50.
- a cover disk 69 attached to the end of the threaded spindle 52 limits the axial displacement of the displacement plate 47.
- the displacement plate 47 or the threaded spindle 52 can have additional means for monitoring the desired end positions of the axial displacement, preferably optical, electronic or opto-electronic.
- a pinion 70 is arranged on the threaded spindle 52 in FIG. 2, which, when rotated, adjusts a potentiometer (not shown) coupled to it.
Description
The invention relates to a collecting and folding cylinder according to the preamble of
In the case of a generic collecting and folding cylinder known from a Lithoman machine from MAN-Roland Druckmaschinen AG, Offenbach, the changeover between the collecting and non-collecting production types takes place when the machine is at a standstill by using a pin coupling after an axial displacement of a handwheel into a correspondingly shaped one Blind holes of a pinion engaging with the main drive of the cylinder engages, the driven pin curve cover disk and folding knife cover disk are rotated relative to the fixed pin curve cam and folding knife cam disk by a rotation of the handwheel and the pin coupling then swings out again. Since the engagement position is preceded by the engagement of the coupling bolts, a changeover is only possible manually.
The invention is based on the object of developing a collecting and folding cylinder in such a way that a changeover between the production types can be controlled from a central control panel without a clutch being swung in and out.
This object is achieved by the features in the characterizing part of the main claim. Here, an axial displacement of a hollow pinion, which is required anyway for the drive, generates a rotation superimposed on the drive movement. The gear elements serving to drive remain in constant engagement with the elements serving to convert. Axial displacement of the hollow pinion is easy to implement by means of a servomotor controlled by a central control panel. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are contained in the subclaims.

In Fig. 2, the drive side of the folding and collecting
The folding and collecting
The
The inner ring of a roller bearing 43 is mounted on the outside of the housing of the hollow cylindrical projection 31 in an
The
At its end facing the folding and collecting
62 abrollt. The roller levers 15, 16 shown circumferentially offset in FIG. 2 are each equipped with two
Of the roller levers 15 and 16, which are only indicated in each case in FIG. 2, one of the three systems distributed over the entire circumference is shown in FIGS. 3 and 4.
The drive of the collecting and
If the
The axial displacement of the sliding
