Definitions
- the invention relates to a dewatering device for dewatering substances, in particular mineral sludges from industrial wastewater, with at least one endless screen belt supported by rollers or gratings to form a screening zone, in particular screen belt press with at least two endless screen belts, between which the substance to be dewatered is included, in which the sieve belts are guided in an elongated, approximately horizontal wedge zone, in which the distance between the two sieve belts is reduced and both sieve belts are supported by rollers or gratings, with the sieve belt on which the task is carried out possibly beforehand a screening zone is supported.
- a belt press of the type mentioned has already become known.
- the material to be dewatered is first passed to a pre-dewatering device, then passes through a screening zone in which the two belt bands of the belt press have not yet been brought together, whereupon it is subsequently introduced into a wedge zone.
- the wedge zone In this wedge zone, the lower of the two sieve belts is supported on rollers or rollers, whereas the upper of the two sieve belts is supported against a grating.
- the whale effect desired in this known device is particularly advantageous for the dewatering of difficult to dewater organic sludges, in particular sludges from municipal wastewater.
- a major problem is that the life of the sieve belts is significantly impaired by the characteristics of the sludge due to wear.
- the invention now aims to further develop a dewatering device or belt press of the type mentioned in such a way that it shows an increased dewatering performance with reduced wear of the belt, particularly in the case of mineral sludge dewatering.

Because the sieve belts are supported alternately in the screening and / or wedge zone by gratings or perforated plates and rollers or rollers, particularly efficient drainage is achieved in the region of the gratings or perforated plates.
- the friction between the grating or perforated plate and the screen belt is limited to short lengths, so that the wear is reduced despite the large drainage capacity.
- the rollers or rollers bring about a strong compression affecting a small part of the web and a certain pressure effect is observed in the area immediately after the roller has run off, in which the briefly squeezed out water is in turn sucked up by the expanding material.
- the liquid remains close to the sieve belts and can be separated particularly efficiently in the subsequent grating or perforated plate areas.
- the sieve belts Due to the pumping processes in the area of the cross-sectional plane of the sieve belts, the sieve belts are regularly flushed out, which also favors the separation of material water when it runs onto the subsequent gratings or perforated plates. Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a dewatering device for dewatering substances, in particular mineral sludges from industrial wastewater, with at least one endless screen belt supported by rollers or gratings to form a screening zone, in particular screen belt press with at least two endless screen belts, between which the substance to be dewatered is included, in which the sieve belts are guided in an elongated, approximately horizontal wedge zone, in which the distance between the two sieve belts is reduced and both sieve belts are supported by rollers or gratings, with the sieve belt on which the task is carried out possibly beforehand a screening zone is supported.
From AT-PS 353 714 a belt press of the type mentioned has already become known. In this known device, the material to be dewatered is first passed to a pre-dewatering device, then passes through a screening zone in which the two belt bands of the belt press have not yet been brought together, whereupon it is subsequently introduced into a wedge zone. In this wedge zone, the lower of the two sieve belts is supported on rollers or rollers, whereas the upper of the two sieve belts is supported against a grating. The whale effect desired in this known device is particularly advantageous for the dewatering of difficult to dewater organic sludges, in particular sludges from municipal wastewater. When working up mineral sludges, however, a major problem is that the life of the sieve belts is significantly impaired by the characteristics of the sludge due to wear.
The invention now aims to further develop a dewatering device or belt press of the type mentioned in such a way that it shows an increased dewatering performance with reduced wear of the belt, particularly in the case of mineral sludge dewatering. To achieve this object, the invention essentially consists in the fact that the sieve belt or belts are alternately supported in the screening and / or wedge zone by gratings or perforated plates and rollers or rollers. Because the sieve belts are supported alternately in the screening and / or wedge zone by gratings or perforated plates and rollers or rollers, particularly efficient drainage is achieved in the region of the gratings or perforated plates. The friction between the grating or perforated plate and the screen belt is limited to short lengths, so that the wear is reduced despite the large drainage capacity. The fact that rollers or rollers are always arranged between gratings or perforated sheets, in combination with the gratings or perforated sheets, in particular in the case of mineral sludges, the drainage performance can be significantly improved. The rollers or rollers bring about a strong compression affecting a small part of the web and a certain pressure effect is observed in the area immediately after the roller has run off, in which the briefly squeezed out water is in turn sucked up by the expanding material. However, the liquid remains close to the sieve belts and can be separated particularly efficiently in the subsequent grating or perforated plate areas. Due to the pumping processes in the area of the cross-sectional plane of the sieve belts, the sieve belts are regularly flushed out, which also favors the separation of material water when it runs onto the subsequent gratings or perforated plates. Significant wear of the sieve belts only occurs in the area of the gratings or perforated plates and because the length of these areas compared to conventional devices is significantly reduced, a significant improvement in the life of the sieves can be observed, especially when dewatering mineral sludges.
In a preferred manner, the design is such that the grating sections of the support extend in the longitudinal direction of the sieve belts over a length which corresponds to 1 to 4 times the area lying between grating sections and supported by rollers or rollers. With such a design, it has been shown that the service life of the sieve belts is extremely long with a possible high drainage capacity.
In a particularly simple manner, the construction can be such that the grating sections and the rollers or rollers are mounted in the common frame. In order to be able to optimally adjust the extent of the pressure exerted by the rollers or rollers on the sieve belts and the enclosed material to be dewatered, the design is advantageously made such that the rollers or rollers can be adjusted in the frame independently of the grating sections are, and that the pressing forces of the rollers or rollers are adjustable independently of the grate sections. The construction can preferably have its own subframe for the rollers, the rollers preferably being mounted in a frame that is adjustable on the frame for the grating sections.
