Dabei wird die Reaktionswärme der Hydrierung bewußt verloren gegeben, um die gewünschten Diamine in hohen Ausbeuten und hohen Reinheiten erhalten zu können. So beschreibt beispielsweise die EP-A 0 091 027 spezielle Raney-Trägerkatalysatoren, die außer zur Hydrierung von aromatischen zu den entsprechenden cycloaliphatischen Verbindungen auch zur Überführung von Nitroverbindungen in die entsprechenden Aminoverbindungen geeignet sind. Bei dieser Hydrierung wird jedoch die Einhaltung von Temperaturen von 50-100°C empfohlen. Verfahren andererseits, die eine Reaktionsführung bei hohen Temperaturen gestatten - wie z.B. in DE-OS 3 315 191 beschrieben - bedürfen verbesserter Katalysatoren mit erhöhter Selektivität und erhöhter Temperaturbeständigkeit. Wichtige Nebenreaktionen sind in diesem Zusammenhang Hydrierungen und Desaminierungen der aromatischen Kerne, sowie die Bildung von höhermolekularen Verbindungen. Auch dies wird durch die Lehre der EP-A 0 091 027 bestätigt, wo darauf aufmerksam gemacht wird, daß bei einer Erhöhung der Hydriertemperatur auf oberhalb 175°C eine Kernhydrierung stattfindet, so daß davon ausgegangen werden muß, daß die in dieser Veröffentlichung beschriebene Verfahrensweise zur Herstellung von aromatischen Diaminoverbindungen durch Hydrierung bei vergleichsweise hohen Temperaturen ungeeignet ist. Auch gemäß der Lehre der DE-OS 2 713 374 erfolgt die Hydrierung von aromatischen Nitroverbindungen wie Dinitrotoluol zu den entsprechenden Diaminen unter Verwendung der Raney-Nickel-Eisen-Katalysatoren dieser Vorveröffentlichung bei unter 170°C liegenden Temperaturen, wobei zudem Hilfslösungsmittel mitverwendet werden.They are usually carried out industrially at temperatures below 170 ° C., preferably at temperatures between 50 and 150 ° C. Gegenstand der Erfindung ist somit die Verwendung von modifizierten Raney-Katalysatoren bei der Herstellung von aromatischen Diaminoverbindungen durch Hydrierung der entsprechenden aromatischen Dinitroverbindung, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man die Umsetzung der Temperaturen von 170-250°C und bei Drucken von 15-50 bar in Abwesenheit eines Hilfslösungsmittels durchführt und als Raney-Katalysatoren solche verwendet, die durch Alkalibehandlung einer Legierung aus 50 bis 95 Gew.- %, vorzugsweise 60 bis 85 Gew.-% Aluminium, 4 bis 45 Gew.-%, vorzugsweise 10 bis 30 Gew.-% Nickel und/oder Kobalt und 1 bis 46 Gew.-%, vorzugsweise 5 bis 15 Gew.-% mindestens eines modifizierenden Metalls hergestellt worden sind, wobei sich die genannten Prozentsätze zu 100 ergänzen, und wobei die modifizierenden Metalle solche der 1., 4., 5., 6., 7. und/oder 8. Das Reaktionsgemisch aus einem aromatischen Diamin und Wasser verläßt den Reaktor durch eine Fritte, die den Katalysator zurückhält. Bei dieser Temperatur und einem Druck von 20 bar wird bis zur Erschöpfung des Katalysators (50 h) hydriert, wobei konti nuierlich das resultierende Verfahrensprodukt (Gemisch aus Diamin und Wasser) entnommen wird, aus welchem anschließend destillativ das reine Diaminotoluol Isomerengemisch (TDA) gewonnen wird. Die Ausbeute an reinem TDA (80 : 20) entspricht 98,7 % der Theorie, bezogen auf eingesetztes DNT. Die Herstellung der Katalysatoren erfolgte jeweils in Analogie zu Beispiel 1 unter Verwendung der, bezogen auf den Aluminiumgehalt der Legierung, aliquoten Menge an Natronlauge. Die in den Formeln hinter den Elementen angegebenen Zahlen beziehen sich auf die prozentuale Zusammensetzung der Legierungen bzw. auf die Gewichtsverhältnisse des in den Katalysatoren vorliegenden Nickels bzw. modifizierenden Metalls. Die Katalysatoren enthalten noch schwankende Restmenge an Aluminium (1 - 10 %). In Beispiel 13 wird unter Mitverwendung von Isopropanol als Lösungsmittel gearbeitet. Dies bedeutet, daß zur Befüllung des Reaktors vor Beginn der Reaktion eine 30- gew.-%ige Lösung von TDA/Wasser (63 : 37), in welcher der Katalysator suspendiert vorliegt, verwendet wird, und das zu hydrierende DNT als 33-gew.-%ige Lösung in Isopropanol eingesetzt wird. Die Gesamtmenge der kontinuierlich eingespeisten Lösung entspricht hierbei einem Einsatz von 126 g/h DNT. Die Ergebnisse der Beispiele 4 - 14 sind in nachstehender Tabelle zusammengefaßt.Example 2 is repeated using the catalysts, temperatures and pressures tabulated below. Claims (3)

1. The use of modified Raney catalysts in the production of aromatic diamino compounds by hydrogenation of the corresponding aromatic dinitro compound, characterized in that the reaction is carried out at temperatures in the range from 170 to 250°C and under pressure of from 15 to 50 bar in the absence of an auxiliary solvent and the Raney catalysts used are those which have been obtained by alkali treatment of an alloy of 50 to 95% by weight aluminium, 4 to 45% by weight nickel and/or cobalt and 1 to 46% by weight of at least one modifying metal, the percentages mentioned adding up to 100 and the modifying metals being those of the 1 st, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and/or 8th secondary group of the periodic system of elements.
2. The use claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the modifying metal is selected from the group consisting of iron, chromium, copper, molybdenum, tantalum, tungsten, vanadium, titanium, niobium, rhenium, ruthenium, zirconium and hafnium.
3. The use claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the heat of the reaction is used to produce steam with delivery pressures of from 5 to 30 bar.
