Description

The invention relates to a built-in refrigerator according to the preamble of claim 1.

Built-in refrigerators are integrated in a fitted kitchen in such a way that they fit into the kitchen furniture. The refrigerator door is provided with a furniture door, the decor of which is adapted to the decor of the other kitchen furniture. The units necessary for operating the refrigerator are housed in the base of the refrigerator. The air required to cool the units is drawn in through an air duct that is formed between the bottom of the refrigerator housing and the base. The air inlet and outlet opening is provided in the base panel in known refrigerators. A ventilation opening is formed in the base panel and forms the inlet and outlet openings for the cooling air. The ventilation openings in the base panel in the area of the built-in refrigerator have a disruptive effect, since in the fitted kitchen it also interrupts the otherwise continuous furniture base panel when the refrigerator is open, even if the openings are covered by the door.

The invention has for its object to design the generic base so that an interruption of the base panel is not necessary for the cooling air flowing into the base.

This object is achieved with the characterizing features of claim 1.

In the base according to the invention, the air inlet opening is arranged in the area above the base panel behind the furniture door and is concealed by profile parts even when the door is open. The base panel can be made of the same material as the furniture, it is not interrupted, so that a closed furniture base panel can be used for all built-in furniture in the fitted kitchen. The built-in refrigerator is not noticeable within the built-in kitchen, and the assembly of the built-in kitchen is made considerably easier. The furniture door and the plinth panel, which are spaced one behind the other, limit an air duct through which the cooling air can flow in a directed manner to the air inlet opening.

Further features of the invention result from the further claims, the description and the drawings.

The invention is explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawings. Show it:
  • 1 is a schematic representation of a top view of a base according to the invention,
  • 2 shows a cross section through the base according to FIG. 1, on which a refrigerator housing is placed,
  • Fig. 3 is a schematic and perspective view of the base according to FIG. 1 with a slide that is pulled out of the base.

The device base has a trough-shaped housing 1 with a bottom 2 and side walls 3 to 6. In the side wall 3, two rectangular recesses 7 and 8 (FIG. 3) are provided next to one another, which are separated from one another by a vertical narrow web 9.

The recesses 7, 8 are open at the top. Through these recesses 7, 8, the interior of the housing 1 is accessible in the installed position of the base in order, for example, to be able to clean the units therein without having to remove the base.

From the web 9, a web 10 standing perpendicularly on the floor 2 extends in the direction of the rear wall 5. It is connected to the side wall 6 by a web 11 running parallel to the side walls 3 and 5. The webs 10, 11 and part of the side walls 3 and 6 delimit an evaporation trough 12 which is rectangular in outline and which lies immediately behind the recess 8. The excess condensation water that accumulates during operation of the built-in refrigerator can collect in it. In order to prevent the condensation water from overflowing into the housing 1, an overflow connection 13 is provided in the evaporation trough 12 (FIG. 1).

A fan 14 is mounted directly behind the recess 7 on the bottom 2 of the housing 1. The fan 14 as a cross-flow fan enables a flat design, so that the base housing 1 can be kept low. With the fan 14, cooling air is drawn into the base from the installation space of the built-in refrigerator.

In the area of the corners of the housing 1, threaded bases (not shown) are provided, into which height-adjustable feet 15 and 16 (FIG. 2) are screwed.

The refrigerator housing 18 (Fig. 2) is placed on the base housing 1 such that it sits on the side walls 3 to 6 and is flush with the side walls 4 to 6. The bottom 19 of the refrigerator housing 18 forms a trough-shaped depression that can extend over most of the depth and width of the housing 1. A storage compartment for vegetable dishes, for example, is formed by the housing base 19 which is offset downwards. At the front, the housing base 19 is directed obliquely upwards over the furniture base 42, so that an air shaft is formed.

On the front wall 3 of the base housing 1, an L-shaped base panel 26 is releasably attached. For control purposes, the base panel 26 can be removed so that the units can be reached through the recesses 7, 8. On the short leg 28 of the base panel 26, a hollow profile 29 is attached which extends over the entire width of the base housing and whose front end face 30 (FIG. 2) runs obliquely downwards. In the end face 30 of the hollow profile 29, an air inlet opening 31 (FIG. 1) is provided in the region of the fan 14 and an air outlet opening 32 in the region of the recess 8. The air inlet opening 31 is laterally delimited by walls 33 and 34 and the air outlet opening 32 by walls 35 and 36. A transverse wall 38, 39 is provided in each case approximately half the width of the air inlet opening 31 and the air outlet opening 32. The walls 34, 35 and the transverse walls 38, 39 'form intermediate walls of the hollow profile 29. The intermediate walls form air guiding surfaces on which the sucked-in or blown-out cooling air is deflected.

As shown in FIG. 2, an aperture 41 extends vertically downward from the front edge of the hollow profile 29. It ends at a short distance above a furniture base panel 42. The panel 41 can be with the hollow profile 29 e.g. guided on the cover panel 44, to be aligned with the end face of the furniture base panel 42 by means of catches.

The cover panel 44 is attached to the underside of the refrigerator housing, and covers the hollow profile 29 upwards. On the refrigerator door 45, a furniture door 46 is attached, which is adapted in its decor to the other built-in kitchen furniture. The lower edge 47 of the furniture door 46 lies at the level of the upper edge 48 of the base panel 42. As shown in FIG. 2, the furniture door 46 is at a distance from the base panel 42. The hollow profile 29 with the air inlet opening 31 and the air outlet opening 32 is at a distance above the furniture base panel 42 and at a distance behind the furniture door 46 so that the hollow profile is not visible when the refrigerator is closed.

Standing on the bottom 2 of the housing 1, air guide ribs 49 are provided, which in the exemplary embodiment lie in pairs approximately at the level of the axial ends of the fan 14. The air guide ribs 49 diverge in the direction of the rear wall 5 of the housing. The outermost air guide ribs 49 are connected to the side wall 4 and the web 10 by walls 50 and 51 running parallel to the front wall 3 of the housing 1.

A condenser 54 is arranged behind the air-guiding ribs 49 and has two coils that are axially parallel to one another.

Der Verflüssiger 54 ist mit einem Kompressor 55 verbunden. The condenser 54 is connected to a compressor 55.

So that the coils of the condenser 54 are easily accessible, recesses 56 and 57 are provided in the bottom 2 and in the side wall 4 of the housing 1 (FIG. 3), which can be closed by an L-shaped slide 58. Appropriate guides are provided in the bottom 2 of the housing 1 for the slide 58. The slide 58 can be pulled out laterally so that the condenser 54 is accessible from the side and from below, for example for cleaning.

When the built-in refrigerator is operating, fan 14 draws air from the installation room. A channel-shaped air supply area is formed between the furniture base panel 42 and the furniture door 46. The air is drawn in in the direction of arrow 62 (FIG. 2). After passing through the hollow profile 29, the sucked-in cooling air reaches the fan 14. Via the condenser 54, the sucked-in air is directed towards the rear towards the rear wall 5. On the rear wall 5 of the housing, the cooling air is deflected at right angles in the direction of the compressor 55, which is also coated with cooling air. The cooling air is finally again deflected by 90 0 and guided over the Verdunsterwanne 12 to the air outlet port 32 on the housing side wall. 6 Since the cooling air is guided over the evaporation trough 12, the evaporation of the condensation water that accumulates in the trough is promoted. The air flowing out of the air outlet opening 32 flows out of the base behind the door 46 and is deflected downwards at the door so that it can exit into the installation space between the door and the furniture base cover 42.
