Description

The invention relates to a heel holder, as specified in the preamble of claim 1.

Such a heel holder has not been previously published in writing, but belongs to an in-house state of the art. In that heel holder, the pivot axis for the release lever is additionally guided in an elongated hole which runs approximately radially to the pivot axis of the control lever in the latter. This heel holder has the disadvantage that, since the stop provided on the release lever for the binding housing also forms the limit for the pivoting of the hold-down device, a defined position of the release lever by the release spring is not always given. Therefore, it can happen that when the preload of the release spring is set to the lower value range, the binding housing in the event of an overload of the hold-down device, e.g. B. is pivoted by a stroke over the intended end position. In this case, the release lever can be pushed against the effective force component of the weakly adjusted spring through the support area of the hold-down device on the extension in the longitudinal direction of the ski, so that the hold-down device comes to lie above the extension. The release spring then pushes the release lever forward, so that when you get back in, the release block gets in the way of the hold-down device.

A similar heel holder is described in US-A 3,773,341. This version has a bearing block, in the upper area of which a pivot axis for a binding housing with hold-down device and step spur is arranged. In the lower area of the pedestal, a further pivot axis is provided for a two-part control lever which bears against a control element of the binding housing and is under the influence of a release spring which can be adjusted in its preload. The trigger spring is supported on the control lever by a U-shaped spring abutment, which is articulated with its two legs on the two parts of the control lever by means of semi-axles. The two semiaxes penetrate circular-shaped elongated holes in the side walls of the pedestal and carry the legs of a U-shaped, one-armed release lever at the protruding ends, which is supported on the approaches of the pedestal and acts on the control lever for arbitrary opening.

The main disadvantage of this design is that the skier has to bend down to open the heel holder, since opening can only be achieved by pulling on a rope. In addition, in the event of a release, the release spring, the other end of which is anchored to the bearing block, is not only compressed, but also bent, which represents additional work. A similar heel holder is described in FR-A-1,485,708. Here too, a binding housing is vertically pivoted in the upper area of the bearing block, while a control lever under spring pressure is articulated in the lower area, which is locked to the binding housing when the heel holder is closed. The control lever is slotted, in which slot a release lever, which acts on the binding housing for the arbitrary opening of the heel holder, is articulated by means of a bolt. At its maximum pivoting an extension of the release lever strikes the bearing block. A movement of the release lever towards the end of the ski is only indirectly limited, namely by the control lever resting on the spring housing. In this known solution, it is disadvantageous that the trigger lever is mounted only in the slot of the control lever and therefore has an unstable guidance. In addition, the control lever is weakened by the slot, which is disadvantageous for the component to be transmitted the forces also for safety reasons.

Furthermore, a heel holder is described in DE-A-27 00 834, in which the binding housing is locked with a displaceable piston acted upon by the release spring. As a result, this heel holder shows a generic difference compared to the prior art.

The object of the invention is to eliminate this disadvantage and to provide a heel holder in which the position of the release lever is also reliably determined in the entry position of the heel holder if the bias of the release spring is changed as desired.

Starting from a heel holder according to the preamble of claim 1, this object is achieved according to the invention by the measures of the characterizing part of this claim. The fact that the position of the release lever in the open position of the binding housing is always determined by two stops which cooperate with binding parts which determine the displacement movement and the pivoting of the release lever, ensures that the release spring is reliably fixed in the entry position even with different preloads of the release spring .

According to a further embodiment of the invention, it has proven to be advantageous if the first stop on the power arm of the release lever is designed as a transverse surface, the normal of which passes through the bolt serving as a pivot axis for the release lever, and that the associated counter-stop is provided by an attachment on the binding housing is formed. In this way, the position of the release lever in the longitudinal direction of the ski is determined constructively in a simple manner and thus the pivoting capacity of the binding housing is defined upwards.

The features of claim 3 also aim in this direction, representing a construction variant of the previous solution.

Due to the features of claim 4, the pivoting of the release lever downwards is limited by the bracket itself.

Another design variant for limiting the pivoting of the release lever down is given by the features of claim 5.

A design variant is characterized by the features of claim 6, in which a common counter-stop is simultaneously used to secure the release lever against displacement to the rear and a pivoting movement downwards, which represents a considerable simplification.

In the drawing, for example, embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown purely schematically. Fig. 1 is a section along the line II in Fig. 2, Fig. 2 is a section along the line 11-11 in Fig. 1 and Fig. 3 is a section along the line 111-111 in Fig. 2, all the figures present the heel holder in the driving position. 4 and 5 show the heel holder in the boarding position, u. between in sections corresponding to FIGS. 1 and 3. FIGS. 6-8 show different embodiments compared to the first embodiment, the representations corresponding to FIG. 5.

It has a base plate 2 which, at its end facing the ski boot, has a bend 2a which carries a control cam for lateral triggering. On the base plate 2, a housing-shaped bearing block 3 is pivotally mounted on a vertical axis 4. This bearing block 3 engages with a projection 3a arranged on its base in a slot 2b of the base plate 2 and is prevented from being moved perpendicularly to the base plate by an offset 2c of the base plate 2. In this way, the bearing block 3 is secured at its end adjacent to the ski boot against lifting off from the base plate 2.

In the upper boundary wall of the bearing block 3, a transverse pivot axis 5 is arranged, on which a binding housing 6, which carries a hold-down device 7 and a step spur 8 at its front end, is pivotably mounted. In the front boundary wall of the binding housing 6, a downwardly open, cross-sectionally rectangular groove 6a is recessed, in which a roller 9 is mounted on an axis 10, which roller is assigned to the control curve on the bend 2a. Furthermore, on its side facing away from the ski boot, the front boundary wall carries a control cam, which consists of an upper branch 6b and a lower branch 6c, which branches meet at the trigger point of the heel holder 1.

In the lower region of the side walls of the bearing block 3 there is a second axis 11 on the side facing the ski boot, on which a control lever 12 is pivotably mounted. The control lever 12 has a nose 12a on its side facing the ski boot, which nose is intended to rest against the control curve 6b, 6c. On the side of the control lever 12 opposite the nose 12a, a groove running in the transverse direction, with a segment-shaped or semicircular cross-section, is recessed, in which a pressure piece 13 is pivotably mounted. This is acted upon by a release spring 14, the other end of which is supported on a spring plate 15 which bears a pointer for the magnitude of the preload of the release spring and can be adjusted in the direction of the axis of the release spring 14 by means of an adjusting screw 16. The adjusting screw 16 is rotatable in the bearing block 3, but is secured against axial displacement. The spring plate 15 is guided in the bearing block 3 and in this way secures the spring plate 15 against rotation. The pointer moves in a slot 3b of the bearing block 3.

Fig. 3). Between the lug 12a and the groove in the shape of a segment of a circle, the control lever 12 carries a bolt 17 running in the transverse direction, which penetrates arc-shaped elongated holes 3c in the side walls of the bearing block 3 and on its ends protruding beyond the bearing block is a side view of a U-shaped release lever 18 with its Legs is pivotally mounted. The end 18a of the load arm of each leg of the release lever 18 is approximately hook-shaped and engages under a projection 6d of the binding housing 6 in the travel position of the heel holder 1 (see FIG. 3). In addition, each leg of the release lever 18 carries another projection 18b which, in the driving position, bears against the one flank 6c of the projection 6d of the binding housing 6. As a result, the position of the release lever 18 in the driving position of the heel holder 1 is clearly defined.

On the other hand, when the heel holder 1 moves into its entry position in the course of an arbitrary release, the binding housing 6 is first raised by means of the projection 18a of the release lever 18, the upper projection 18b sliding along the flank 6c of the projection 6d of the binding housing 6 until the release lever 18 comes to rest on the pivot axis 5 for the binding housing 6. At the same time, the first stop of the release lever 18, which is designed as a transverse surface 18c, comes into contact with the associated counterstop, which is an extension 6f of the binding housing 6. In this way, the release lever 18 is reliably held on the one hand by the pivot axis 5 and on the other hand by the extension 6f of the binding housing 6 in the entry position of the heel holder 1 even when the pretensioning of the release spring 14 is changed.

In embodiment 1 'according to FIG. 6, the binding housing 6 also carries an extension 6f which is intended for the abutment of a transverse surface 18c of the release lever 18. By this approach 6f the release lever 18 is secured in the entry position of the heel holder 1 'against displacement against the force of the release spring. To at In this embodiment, to limit the pivoting angle of the release lever 18, it carries at its ends opposite the two shoulders 18a, 18b a second stop 18 g, which is intended for bearing against a housing-like cover 3d of the bearing block 3. The pivot axis 5 itself is in the entry position of the heel holder 1 'within a recess 18f of the release lever 18 which is open towards the bottom.

A further embodiment of a heel holder 1 "according to the invention is shown in FIG. 7. In contrast to the two previous exemplary embodiments, the approach to the binding housing is missing in this embodiment. Rather, the first stop of the release lever from surface 18d is from that of bolt 17 adjacent wall of the recess 18f. As in the previous exemplary embodiment, the second stop 18g, which is supported in the entry position of the heel holder 1 "on the housing-like cover 3d of the bearing block 3, serves to fix the release lever 18 against rotation.

Finally, FIG. 8 shows a last variant of a heel holder 1 "'according to the invention, in which both the lock against displacement of the release lever 18 and against the pivoting thereof is formed by the pivot axis 5. For this purpose, the recess in the release lever 18 also has a transverse surface 18d which represents the first stop and which runs perpendicular to the connecting line of the pivot axis 5 and the bolt 17, a further surface 18e 'which forms the second stop and which is arranged parallel to the mentioned connecting line.
