Description

The invention relates to a component intended for use in connection with round link chains according to the preamble of claim 1.

A component of the type considered as a shortening member is known from US-A-2179564. The known component has a passage for a chain strand forming a square channel, in which two plates are arranged at a distance from one another, each with a cross recess. Two opposite walls of the channel are provided in the area between the plates with holes for receiving the locking elements formed by the legs of a U-shaped bracket. In the locking position, the aligned bores for free ends of the locking elements which have a split pin protrude beyond one of the outer walls of the channel. Removing and reinstalling the safety pin and inserting the locking elements into the locking position is tedious. In addition, if the known component is used under rough operating conditions, damage to the unprotected locking pin is to be expected and this can easily be lost during handling of the component. Finally, when guiding and supporting the locking elements inside the channel, there is a risk that the locking elements will bend under load.

A chain lock is also known from DD-A-33 970 with which the hanging circumference of an endless chain can be changed. This chain lock has two cross slots, which are arranged next to one another in a housing and are formed from two transverse slots and a common longitudinal slot and have a comparatively large length. In order to be able to lock the chain links guided in the cross slots in a position corresponding to a certain chain loop size, the known chain lock is provided with a single, releasable locking bolt which, in the locking position, presses obliquely against the bend of two chain links lying side by side in the longitudinal slot in the manner of a spreading wedge. In this known chain lock, asymmetrical link support takes place and a disturbing transverse force is exerted on the bend of the chain links suspended in the supported chain links. The locking element is not secured against loss.

Another component intended for use in connection with round link chains with a cross slot for chain guidance is known from FR-A-1 270 232. In this component, a locking element for a chain link to be locked in the cross recess is used as a sliding element that can be pushed back and forth, a fork made of flat material and the ends of which are not adequately supported in the locking position and are exposed to spreading forces.

In another component known from FR-A-1 490 091, two pivotable pawls which are pulled by springs into a spreading position and allow chain pulling in only one direction are used to lock a chain link in a cross recess. This component is complex and there are no means for transferring the pawls into an ineffective position.

Finally, GB-A-2 088 520 shows a locking bolt which can be displaced against the action of a spring. In this case, the locking bolt has the task of securing the position of a chain link suspended in a shortening claw, ie. H. it is not used for load transfer.

The invention has for its object to provide a component of the type under consideration, the locking bolts are well supported and easy to handle and which has no parts that can be lost during handling. This object is achieved according to the invention in a generic component, the features of the characterizing part of claim 1.

In Figure 1, 1 is the base body of a component with two intersecting slots 2 and 3. In the area of the ends of the slot 3 protrude parts of two locking bolts 4 and 5, which are held by springs 6 in the locking position shown for the slot. The bolts 4 and 5 can be moved against the action of the springs 6 by a certain amount limited by stops 7 in order to open the slot 3. The initiation of the shift can take place via a chain strand 8 which is connected to the ends of the locking bolts 4 and 5 via a cross bolt 9.

The ends of the locking bolts 4 and 5 receiving the cross bolt 9 are slightly angled. FIG. 2 shows a solution with particularly simple locking bolts 10 and 11. The locking bolts 10 and 11 can be produced from wire material with little effort. They are connected by the eyelet 12 with their crossbeams 13 to a bracket.

Two locking bolts 14 and 15 which are directly connected to one another in a bracket are used in the component according to FIGS. 3 and 4. The locking bolt 14 engages with a projection 16 in a receptacle 17 of the locking bolt 15. The locking bolts 14 and 15 are also guided in this component in bores 18 of a base body 1. They are in turn held by springs 6 in a position in which they block the slot 3. While the locking bolts 4 and 5 must be pulled from the locked position into a release position, the locking bolts 14 and 15 can be moved from the locked position into the released position by pressing. This type of actuation enables transverse grooves 19 attached to the locking bolts, which can be transferred into the area of the slot 3 in order to release the latter. The advantage of such a design of the locking bolts is that they are constantly guided on both sides of the slot 3 in the bores 18. A locking mechanism, generally designated 20, prevents an undesired displacement of the locking bolts from their locked position into the release position. The lifting movement of the locking bolts 14, 15 is limited by a stop 61 which engages in a forged lateral recess 60 and which preferably consists of an adapter sleeve.

The component according to FIGS. 5 to 7 has a base body 21 to which the end link of a chain strand can be connected via a fork head 22. In the lower part of the base body 21 locking bolts formed by the legs of a bracket are guided. The locking bolts are actuated via a yoke 26 which connects them to one another. As can be seen from Figure 5, the locking bolts run slightly obliquely to the lower part of the base body. Such an arrangement has the advantage that the chain link 27 supported on the locking bolts 24 and 25 attempts to press the locking bolts 24 and 25 into the locked position.

A particularly advantageous component is shown in FIGS. 8 to 12. It has a base body 28 with two slots 29 and 30, of which the slot 30 is open. This means that a chain strand can be inserted from the side into the cross slot formed by the intersecting slots 29 and 30. The locking bolts 31 and 32 are in turn firmly connected to one another via a yoke 33. Different to. in the cases described above, however, they are not of the same length. In this case too, a spring 6 holds the locking bolts in their locked position. The longer locking bolt 31 is provided with a transverse groove 34, one wall of which forms an actuation ramp 35. An actuation ramp 36 is also arranged at the end of the shorter locking bolt 32, which also has a locking lug 37. The locking lug 37 prevents a chain link from being pulled out of the slot 30 in the intermediate position shown in FIG. 11, which is determined by a detent stop 38. If necessary, the detent stop 38 can be pressed into the locking bolt 31, and the locking bolt 31 can be pressed, and the locking bolt 31 and 32 can then be moved into the position shown in FIG. 12.

The actuation ramps 35 and 36 make it possible to automatically pull a chain in one direction through the slots 29 and 30. Such free movement of a chain strand in one direction is desirable for numerous applications.

Another component that can be used as a shortening element is shown in FIGS. 13 to 15. In a base body 39, in turn, two locking bolts 40 and 41 are mounted, which are connected to one another via a yoke 42. Both locking bolts are each provided with a transverse groove 43. The locking bolt 40 is connected via an extension 44 to a connecting part 45 which is engaged by a chain strand 46 which is suitable for unlocking the component from a distance. A chain link 48 of a supporting chain strand section engages on a retaining pin 47.

Figure 16 shows the use of the component shown in Figures 13 to 15. It can be seen that it is suitable for bundling carriers 49 with the aid of a chain strand 50 which is in a shortening tongue claw 51 is attached. As indicated in FIG. 18, the shortening claw can be integrated into the component by providing the base body 39 with a claw-shaped extension 52.

Figures 18 to 20 illustrate the variety of possible uses of the component described. FIG. 18 shows a component which is provided with connecting parts 53 and 54 which enable it to be connected to a ring fork 55. The component shown in FIG. 19 is connected to a holding bracket 56, in which a chain link 57 is suspended. Finally, a solution is shown in FIG. in which a component is connected to a lashing strap 59 via a bracket 58. Components of the type disclosed are therefore suitable as additional parts for parts of chain and / or belt kits. They allow quick connection and adjustment of chains in connection with such boxes.
