Description

The invention relates to a device for collecting empty bottles with a feed container which can be loaded from above in an input zone with the empty bottles and is designed as a trolley, the bottom of which from an upper starting position, depending on the amount of empty bottles entering the collecting container, with the aid of an over a motorized drive mechanism arranged in the input zone, which can be controlled, can be lowered step by step to a lower end position.

A device of this type is known (GB-A 782380), in which the motor drive mechanism and the level sensing device are integrated in the carriage itself. These expensive installation parts can therefore only supply a relatively limited receiving volume for the empties. A full collection container must therefore be emptied immediately so that it is available for further empties acceptance. If this is not possible, replacement cars with drive and scanning units must be made available. In addition, although the level scanning device enables the current input height to be adapted to the items entered, a single bottle input, which is essential for fully automatic empties accounting, is not provided there. In the event of the acceptance of empties, an operator must therefore always be available to count the bottles entered for the empties settlement. Furthermore, in the case of an empties return device, it is known per se (DE-A 1474874) to provide a setting space for temporarily accommodating a collecting container in a stationary housing, on the upper side of which an input mechanism for the individual bottle input is arranged. The empties entered first enter a transport trough which, due to the weight of the bottle, lowers against a counterweight while pivoting a parallel guide into the collection container. When the bottom of the container or the bottle above it is reached, the impact body is pivoted and the trough is tilted so that the bottle can slide into the collecting container. Then the tub is relieved and moved back to its original position. No bottles can be entered during the transport process. The input frequency is therefore quite limited. Apart from this, there is a risk that a bottle pyramid with steep flanks will form inside the collecting container, on which the bottles entered can break.

The invention is based on the object of improving the known collecting device of the type specified at the outset in such a way that the drive mechanism and the level sensing device are available for a large number of collecting container wagons which can be loaded via a single bottle input.

To achieve this object, the features specified in claim 1 are proposed. Further advantageous refinements and developments of the invention result from the dependent claims.

The invention is based on the idea that only a drive mechanism and a level sensing device are to be provided for a relatively large number of relatively simply designed collecting container wagons, in order to create a high holding capacity for the empty bottles with the least possible investment. In order to achieve this, the invention proposes
  • that a stationary housing is provided which has an adjustment space for temporarily accommodating the collecting container wagon,
  • that the drive mechanism and the level sensing device are arranged in the stationary housing,
  • - That the drive mechanism has a detachably coupled driver when inserting the collecting container wagon with the container bottom and
  • - That an input mechanism leading to the input zone of the collecting container wagon is arranged for the single bottle input.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the input mechanism has an acceptance rotor consisting of sectors for accepting individual bottles, and a bottle scanning device which responds to the size and shape of the empty bottles to be entered. The bottle scanning device can be connected to a computer for evaluating and storing the determined shape and size values. According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the input mechanism has two bottle drain plates, which point in opposite directions into the input zone of the collecting container, of which one or the other bottle drain plate can be loaded with an empty bottle, depending on the direction of rotation of the acceptance rotor.

The light barriers, which are fixed to the housing in the area of the input mechanism, on the one hand give an impulse to a computer under the influence of a bottle sliding past and, on the other hand, change the direction of rotation of the acceptance rotor by an additional impulse, as long as a bottle which has remained on a bottle drain plate does not interrupt one of the light barriers. Advantageously, a downward movement of the floor can be initiated by the light barrier interrupted by a bottle sliding out of the sector over the bottle drain plate, until the light barrier is free again, after which the floor can be raised again after having followed a caster path.

  • Fig. 3 is a circuit diagram of the collecting device.

Ein Endschalter 9 begrenzt die Aufwärtsbewegung des Bodens 3.The collecting device essentially consists of a stationary housing 2, which has an adjustment space for temporarily holding a collecting container wagon 1. The height-adjustable bottom 3 of the collecting container wagon 1 has laterally protruding support pins 4 which are brought into a loose connection with drivers 5 on a chain drive 6. A drive motor 7 serves to raise and lower the floor 3 via the chain wheels 8. A limit switch 9 limits the upward movement of the floor 3.

In the upper area of the housing there is an input mechanism which has an acceptance rotor 12 consisting of open sectors 11 for accepting individual bottles. Furthermore, there is provided a bottle scanning device which responds to the size and shape of the empty bottles to be entered, preferably having an ultrasound head 10, the values of which are recorded in a computer 13.

When the relays 14 and 15 are closed, the acceptance rotor 12 can start until the current is interrupted by a switching pin 16, which comes into a notch 17 in a disk 18 fastened on the shaft of the acceptance rotor 12. Simultaneously with the interruption, the direction of rotation of the acceptance rotor 12 is changed by entering an empty bottle, so that the empty bottles 41 sliding alternately over bottle drain plates 19 pass evenly to the left and right into the collecting container wagon without creating a bottle pyramid that could lead to a bottle breakage . In order to facilitate the sliding out of the bottles from the sectors 11, guide lips 22 are arranged at the outer end of the surfaces delimiting the sectors 11 and guide flaps 24 are arranged on the housing part 23 surrounding the acceptance rotor 12. Furthermore, 12 light barriers 25, 26 are arranged on the housing part 23 on both sides of the acceptance rotor, which give the computer 13 a corresponding impulse by a bottle sliding past. If the bottle remains on the bottle drain plate 19, one of the light barriers 25 or 26 interrupts the circuit for the acceptance rotor 12 until the bottle drain plate 19 is free again and the obstructing bottle is rolled into the collecting container wagon 1. After each bottle acceptance, the acceptance rotor 12 changes its direction of rotation under the influence of the relays 27 and 15. During the rotary movement, the relay 15 is switched off via the relay 27 until the light barrier 25 or 26 is interrupted by a bottle which has remained on the bottle drain plate 19. When the light barrier 25 is interrupted, the relay 27 and when the light barrier 26 is interrupted, the relay 14 can no longer respond. The direction of rotation of the acceptance rotor 12 is maintained until the second light barrier 25 or 26 is interrupted again.

The interruption of the light barriers 25 and 26 also has the consequence that the relay 28 responds and starts the drive motor 7 and thereby initiates a downward movement of the floor 3. After the light barrier 25, 26 has become free, this downward movement is continued by a time delay relay 29 in order to avoid an uncontrolled upward and downward movement.

The relay 28 is connected in series with the delay relay 29 via both light barriers 25, 26. The duration of the run-on time caused by the relay 29 depends on the diameter of the largest acceptable empty bottles plus about 15 mm. After this delay time has elapsed, the bottom 3 moves upwards again until the uppermost bottle lying on the bottom touches one of the two switching vanes 30 or 31 arranged under the bottle drain plates 19, which act on limit switches 32 or 33. The direction of rotation of the drive motor 7 from the upward travel via the relay 28 to the downward travel is achieved in that the relay 28 drops out after the overrun time, the limit switches 32 and 33 being released by the previous downward travel. As a result, however, a relay 34 picks up, causing the bottom 3 to move upward again until one of the limit switches 32 or 33 on the switching vanes 30 or 31 closes and the bottle drain plate 19 adhered to, thereby avoiding bottle breakage.

If the collecting container wagon 1 has now largely been filled with empty bottles entered and the floor 3 has been lowered, a signal is triggered by a switch 35 which indicates that the collecting container wagon 1 which is now filled should be replaced by an empty one.

If the bottom 3 then reaches its lower end position, the control system is de-energized by a limit switch 36 and at the same time a signal appears on a display part 37 which indicates that the bottle reception is blocked.

A switch 38, which can be actuated via a door lock 39, causes the drive motor 7 to start, even if the limit switch 36 should not yet be closed, the relay 28 picking up primarily until the limit switch 36 is reached. This ensures that the bottom 3 is always in its lower end position after opening a housing door. The collecting device can be expanded so that the values determined by the computer 13 are transmitted to a printer 40 which determines and displays the bottle deposit to be expected.

The device according to any of Claims 3 to 5, characterised in that below the reception rotor (12) the feed mechanism has two bottle downloading plates (19) which point in opposite directions into the filling zone of the collecting container, that the direction of the motor-operated drive rotor (12) can be reversed and that according to the direction in which the reception rotor (12) is turning an empty bottle can be loaded onto one or other bottle downloading plate (19).
7 The device according to any of Claims 3 to 6, characterised in that on the shaft of the reception rotor (12) a disc (18) provided with control notches (17) is disposed, into which an actuating pin (16) engages which limits the rotation of the disc (18) and reverses the direction of the reception rotor.
8. The device according to any of Claims 3 to 7, characterised in that guide lips (22) are arranged at the outer end of the surfaces delimiting the sectors (11) and guide flaps (24) are arranged on the portion (23) of the enclosure that surrounds the reception rotor.
9. The device according to any of Claims 3 to 8, characterised in that in the region of the feed mechanism photoelectric barriers (25, 26) are integrated into the enclosure, which on the one hand produce a signal to the computer (13) when a bottle slides past, and on the other hand by an additional signal alter the direction of the reception rotor (12) as long as no bottle still lying on a bottle downloading plate (19) breaks one of the light barriers (25 or 26).
10. The device according to Claim 9, characterised in that the floor (2) can be set in downward motion via a time-delay relay (29) by the light barrier (25 or 26) that has been broken by a bottle sliding out of the sector (11) and along the bottle downloading plate (19), until the light barrier (25 or 26) is clear once more, and that after completing a follow-up path the floor (2) can the be raised again.
11. The device according to Claim 10, characterised in that to limit the upward movement of the floor (2) control members (30, 31) are arranged on the lower surface of the bottle downloading plates (9), by means of which a limit switch (32 or 33) can be operated when the uppermost bottle makes contact in the collecting container.
