Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for contactless metering of liquids as specified in the preamble of claim 1.
- metering syringes Devices of this type, which are also referred to as "metering syringes", are known per se.
- metering syringes For example, from DE-PS 1 090 449 and from DE-AS 1 291 142 such metering devices are known in which a piston is advanced in a hollow cylinder against the pressure of a spring and the liquid is drawn up in that due to the spring action the piston moves back to its original position. The liquid is drawn in contactlessly in the sense that the liquid drawn up does not touch the piston and only reaches a height of rise that ends before the range of movement of the piston. The possible movement of the piston is limited by stops, so that a fixed, predetermined volume of liquid is drawn up with each actuation.
- the object of the present invention is accordingly to provide a metering device for the contactless metering of solid quantities of liquids, in which the number of components is kept as small as possible and which allows the metered quantity to be changed by replacing a part.
- the device according to the invention consists of a syringe-shaped body which has a hollow cylinder at its upper end. This channel connects to its hollow cylinder, which emerges in the front, needle-like end of the body 1.
- the hollow cylinder is closed at its upper end with a seal made of elastic material.
- a piston is inserted through this seal into this hollow cylinder and is movable in the axial direction between two positions, these positions being determined by stops which are attached to the outside of the body.
- the piston is attached centrally in a sleeve that extends over the hollow cylinder.
- a spring is attached to the piston, which is supported on the bottom of the sleeve and on the upper end of the hollow cylinder. When the piston is pushed into the hollow cylinder, the spring is compressed, so that after the sleeve is released, together with the piston, it moves back into the starting position defined by a stop.
- the feed of the piston is also limited by a stop.
- the piston and the sleeve are formed in one piece, so that the device according to the invention consists of a total of 4 parts, namely the syringe-like body, the seal arranged at the upper end of this body, the component formed from the sleeve and piston and the one on the piston attached spring.
- the seal sealing the hollow cylinder is made of elastic material and is dimensioned such that it is seated on the piston with a pressure acting in the radial direction. This makes it possible to replace the component consisting of the sleeve and the piston with another in which the piston has a different diameter.
- the elasticity of the seal is sufficient so that it seals it even with a reduced diameter of the piston.
- the sleeve has at the end which is pushed over the hollow cylinder, two mutually opposite longitudinal slots, so that the lower end of the sleeve can be elastically expanded and pushed over the stops located on the outside of the hollow cylinder .
- the device according to the invention consists of an elongated body 1 which is tapered at one end and through which a channel 2 extends.
- This channel 2 merges into a hollow cylinder 4, which is formed at the other end of the body 1.
- the hollow cylinder 4 is extended to an annular groove 9, in which a seal 7 made of elastic material is inserted.
- the piston 5 is pushed through this seal 7 and is displaceable in the hollow cylinder 4.
- a sleeve 8 is integral with this piston 5 formed, which surrounds the piston 5 centrally symmetrical.
- the clear width of the sleeve is greater than or equal to the clear width of the projection 13.
- the sleeve 8 has an inward projection 11, so that the movement of the sleeve 8 in the axial direction is limited by the stops 10 and 13 .
- a spring 6 is slipped over the piston 5, which is supported on the bottom of the sleeve and on the end of the hollow cylinder 4, optionally on the seal 7.
- the open end of the channel 2 is immersed in liquid, the sleeve 8 and with it the piston 5 are moved against the pressure of the spring 6 in the direction of the stop 10. After releasing the sleeve, the sleeve and with it the piston 5 move back into the starting position under the pressure of the spring, so that liquid is sucked in through the channel 2.
- the amount sucked in is determined by the volume displaced when the piston is displaced, i.e. by the -Distance between the stops 10 and 13, and by the diameter of the piston 5.
- FIG. 2 shows a modified embodiment in which, compared to FIG. 1, the component comprising the piston 5 and the sleeve 8 is replaced by another, in which the piston 5 has a reduced diameter.
- a smaller volume is thus displaced when the piston is pushed in, so that subsequently when the sleeve returns into its. Starting position even a smaller amount of liquid is sucked in.
- the seal 7 located in the annular groove 9 is so elastic and dimensioned that it also lies sealingly against a piston of reduced thickness. Accordingly, it is possible to change the metered quantity in the device according to the invention by replacing the component with the sleeve 8 and the piston 5.
- FIG. 3 shows a side view of the device according to the invention. It can be seen that the sleeve. 8 is provided with slots 14 at the end which is pushed over the hollow cylinder 4. Because of these slots 14, the relevant end of the sleeve 8 can be slightly bent open, so that the inward, ring-like projection 11 in the sleeve can be pushed over the corresponding projection 13 on the outside of the hollow cylinder 4 (Fig. 1). The slots 14 thus also make it easier to replace the component consisting of the sleeve 8 and the piston S, so that the metered amount can accordingly be varied slightly.

Description
The invention relates to a device for contactless metering of liquids as specified in the preamble of
Devices of this type, which are also referred to as "metering syringes", are known per se. For example, from DE-PS 1 090 449 and from DE-AS 1 291 142 such metering devices are known in which a piston is advanced in a hollow cylinder against the pressure of a spring and the liquid is drawn up in that due to the spring action the piston moves back to its original position. Compared to other metering syringes in which the syringe plunger is pulled up by hand and the amount of liquid drawn off is read off with the help of graduation marks on the outside of the syringe body, such metering devices are of considerable advantage since reading errors, e.g. Paralax reading error; cannot occur. However, the known devices consist of a large number of individual parts, so that their assembly is complex and the production costs are correspondingly high. Furthermore, it is not possible in the known devices to change the metered amount that is aspirated when the device is actuated once.
The object of the present invention is accordingly to provide a metering device for the contactless metering of solid quantities of liquids, in which the number of components is kept as small as possible and which allows the metered quantity to be changed by replacing a part.
This object is achieved with a device according to the preamble of
Further advantageous embodiments of the invention result from the subclaims.
The device according to the invention consists of a syringe-shaped body which has a hollow cylinder at its upper end. This channel connects to its hollow cylinder, which emerges in the front, needle-like end of the
Preferably, the piston and the sleeve are formed in one piece, so that the device according to the invention consists of a total of 4 parts, namely the syringe-like body, the seal arranged at the upper end of this body, the component formed from the sleeve and piston and the one on the piston attached spring.
The seal sealing the hollow cylinder is made of elastic material and is dimensioned such that it is seated on the piston with a pressure acting in the radial direction. This makes it possible to replace the component consisting of the sleeve and the piston with another in which the piston has a different diameter. The The elasticity of the seal is sufficient so that it seals it even with a reduced diameter of the piston. By reducing the piston diameter, the metered quantity is reduced, since only a smaller volume is displaced when such a piston is inserted into the hollow cylinder.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the sleeve has at the end which is pushed over the hollow cylinder, two mutually opposite longitudinal slots, so that the lower end of the sleeve can be elastically expanded and pushed over the stops located on the outside of the hollow cylinder .
The invention will now be described and explained in more detail with reference to the exemplary embodiments shown in the figures.

- Figure 2 shows an alternative form of the device of Figure 1, and
- Figure 3 schematically shows a side view of the device according to the invention.
According to the embodiment of Figure 1, the device according to the invention consists of an
